Chapter 12 "District-9 Statement"

Half a day's drive, Brain and Jorge are now in the former outcast district outside the walls of District 9. They found nothing but the charred remains of the building.

Seeing all that, the two of them then continued their journey towards the gate of District 9 which was known to be not far away.

Not long after, from a distance the gate was large enough to be seen, knowing their position was very close, Jorge then decided to hide and monitor the guards who were in the place.

"I didn't see anyone there, was it like this" Brain asked.

"During my stay in District 9, this never happened"

"It's very suspicious, come with me"

After saying this, Brian and Jorge walked to avoid the gate and after feeling far enough, they began to approach the wall again and then down the outer side of the district wall 9.

"I think we're going through that door" Brain said.

"Only people from the association who do official activities outside the wall, if we pass there, then it is certain we will be immediately detained"

Brain and Jorge were now in a building that looked like a public toilet, slowly they both came out of it.

"What's going on here" Jorge said.

District 9 is known to be a residential area for those who have a working class, currently the place looks very chaotic, where houses and buildings that are not too high are seen to have been destroyed.

"What's up Jorge" said Brain.

After Brain came out and saw the view of the destroyed city, he then immediately used his detection ability, but Brain found no signs of life there.

"I didn't detect any life nearby, how about we check this area first, there might still be survivors" Brain said.

Jorge, who strongly believed in Brian's strength, agreed and the two of them began to walk around the area with great caution.

It is known, in district 9 now, the lights installed along the road have been many dead and it makes the atmosphere feel gripping, he said, there were also pools of blood in several places but not a single body was seen in the place.

"Who do you think did this" Jorge asked as he walked over.

Not long after, there was the sound of a fight from a distance. Realizing that, Brain and Jorge then followed the voice.

It looks like a woman wearing half-body armor is dealing with a monster that looks like a cockroach measuring 1 meter.

"Curse Magic's. Pekir Zwaard" said Brain.

At the tip of Brain's index finger, a small magic circle is seen, pointing its index finger at the monster and it looks like the monster immediately fell down with some parts of the body that have been hollow.

Seeing the monster before her dead, the woman looks confused, but after she realizes the existence of Brain and Jorge, she then directs her focus towards the two of them.

"Who are you, did you defeat this monster" the woman said.

"Hanna Nevile, are you" said Jorge.

Hearing her name being mentioned, the woman then looked towards Jorge.

"Uncle Jorge, yes it's Hanna"

Realizing that she knew someone, Hanna then sheathed her sword and opened her protective helmet.

"What's going on here, where are all the people" Jorge asked.

"I'll tell you everything, but before that we should get out of here first"

After saying that, Hanna then took Brian and Jorge to go somewhere not far from where they are now.

It did not take long, until they arrived at the destination, where the place is an underground bunker that has a size not too big.

There were some survivors, most of whom were women and children. Everyone in the bunker had a Soul System but their Class was only workers with an average of level 25.

"Hey Jorge is that you" said a man inside the Bunker.

Jorge, who heard his name called, looked towards the source of the voice.

"Reymond, thank God you're safe" Jorge said

Reymond is a 45-year-old man, who has a Soul System with Class, Worker and Job as Labor.

"What's really going on here" asked Jorge.

"This would not have happened if the people from the association had worked earnestly" Reymond said.

"What do you mean" said Jorge.

"The Dimensional Portal Dungeon appeared within district 9 and it was not detected until 1 Week ago when the Portal Boss came out and attacked everyone" Reymond said.

"Actually, after you left 1 year ago, the patrol and guard activities here have been lowered, they usually only come once a week to collect taxes and then leave again"

Hearing those words, Jorge could only fall silent.

"Then what are you doing here, Jorge, who are you" asked Reymond.

"I'm just here to visit and he, his name is Brain, he's been helping us look after the kids a lot"

After the conversation, Hanna, who is still with them, asks Reymond for permission to return from the bunker. Brain who knew that then tried to see the status of Hanna.

"I'm sorry, can I come with you" Brain said.

After saying that, Hanna then walked towards the exit of the bunker and of course, Brain also followed her.

Hearing the words of Brain, Hanna immediately stopped her steps, yes then turned back and saw Brain.

"The remaining Freedom Fighters, they are all now in district 5"

"It's very easy, as long as you can defeat the Portal Boss of Dimensional Dungeon who is in district 4"

"Brain's name is from Jerome's group, Richard actually I want to ask permission to go to District 5"

"Hey young man, are you sure, that trip to District 5 is very dangerous" Richard said.

"I'll try" Brain said.

Here Richard who had seen the status of Brain was greatly surprised, because of all the people he knew in the Liberation Army, there were only 1 person who had the same level 60 as Brain and because of that, Richard then gave permission to the two of them to go to District 5.

With the permission that has been obtained, Hanna and Brain then say goodbye to some people there, including Brain who also informed Jorge of his plans, after that, after that, the two of them on that day also immediately moved towards District 5.

The Himaya Region is known to be a whole round shape, where the layout in the middle of it is named Central District, then districts 1, 2 and 3 surround Central District, then District 4 - 9 Surrounding district 1, 2 And 3.
