I cried out in my heart, strengthening my resolve to do something reckless. When the bear stormed the thick branches above the ground, I ran around it while still hiding behind the dense trees. The quick beat of my heart made my vision feel blurry. Feels floating, feels unreal. Breathing does not help. I lock my gaze forward, trying to ignore the creature running across.
My guess is right, there's someone there. Fallen covered in blood, pressing a large tear wound on his left arm. Frightened, pale, desperate. He's lost a lot of blood. Quickly I slid, approached and smothered his mouth tightly.
"If you want to live, follow!" tehatku brief. He's nodding. I took my hand off her face, then moved back quickly and quietly with the injured young man next to me.
A little distance away we took, hid behind a big and thick tree, then leaned back for a moment taking a breath. The adrenaline rushed to fill my head until my heart was beating so fast. I took a deep breath, held it for a moment, then took it out slowly to calm myself down. I lyrically the young man next to me who was still grimacing endured the pain on his arm. The pain in this world had indeed been reduced many times over, but it still felt a little stinging. That's how I felt when I was sick. Sorry, but we don't have time now.
"Hey, you're an illusion user, aren't you?" aska whispered. The young man looked up, surprised.
"Huh?"
"Jawab, are you a user of illusion??"
The young man shook his head with a face trembling in pain. "N-no, I deflected the light and formed a vision-"
"OK, okay, that's enough. You can create an illusion. Now listen, after I give you the mark, use your powers on that monster. How many seconds can you hold your illusion?"
"Maximum?" ask the young man back, then continue. "Ten."
"Good, that's enough. Use maximum after I give you the mark."
"Wait, wait a minute, what? What do you want-"
"Already, quiet. Don't protest too much. You want to live? You wanna survive out here? Do what I ask, okay?"
Without hearing the young man's reply, I immediately moved to the edge, further away around the bear. It seemed that he had realized that what he was attacking was just a hard tree trunk. The monster dyed, stood on both feet, then roared loudly until I felt my ears would break. However, I continued to run until my feet reached the designated points.
"HEY, IRON HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!"
My loud screams instantly made the bear turn. Oh, shit, seeing his mouth full of sharp teeth and drooling hunger marks made my legs tremble. I hit my leg once, all my might. Good, my trembling is slightly resolved. The rest stayed to hold their breath to strengthen mentally facing the ugly creatures in front.
The bear growled, roaring again like a wild animal. His whole leg's down. Quickly he ran over the fallen tree trunks, heading towards me. I didn't move, I was glued to the spot, or rather it was called nailing myself on the spot. Just stand up, strapping with heart palpitations. Breath restrained, view locked, the creature was getting closer.
"ILLUSION!!!!!!!!!!!"
The snout of the bear was only five steps away from my head when the wounded young man across raised his index finger. The light shot fast like a bullet, but I was able to catch the path. About right to the nape of the bear, making his jaw slide just two steps away from me. He fell down, his head hit the tree trunk hard. Without even taking another breath, I immediately ran away.
"WILL, NOW!!!!!!!"
The quick slash of the wind arrow created a hissing sound in the air. Even without looking back, I knew Will was doing a good job. One.... two.... three. Soon I hid again behind a big tree. Leaning, my body collapsed slowly. My breath was set again after being detained. I could feel my heartbeat in the crown, making my eyeballs pop out. I closed my eyes tightly, calmed down for a moment before taking a deep breath and seeing what was happening behind.
Blood, or perhaps oil, gushed out from both feet, but not from his head. I told Will to shoot four times: two to each foot, two to the head at the same point. A shot to the leg injured him, but his head turned out to be louder than I expected. Besides, my guess is also correct. These creatures are weak to hypnosis or illusion. At least he was given an illusion, his focus was instantly lost. That was why this bear could not defeat the prairie elf, because the prairie elf was a user of illusion. This bear will only be an easy target in the middle of that savannah.
That means, my plan can be continued according to the initial plan. The movement of the bear has been limited by the damage of the legs, now I can take distance when fighting with him, although I myself know that I am a close combatant.
"Okay, let's do it!" I muttered to myself.
Fast runs are taken directly without cue. The illusion was gone, but there was no problem. I kept running, straight forward towards the bear who was roaring feeling strange because of the illusion. Not yet the time for further illusions, let's let the bear feel anger.
The loud roar again made the contents of my head tremble. The bear restrained his body with both feet. Can't move. Of course, that's why I had Will shoot both of his hind legs. Now all he could do was open his jaw and swing a heavy hand.
Twenty meters, fifteen meters, ten meters, five meters, my face was getting closer to the attack area the exhausted bear tried to stand normally. Ten steps, eight steps, four steps. The bear raised his sharp-clawed hand high.
"ILLUSION!!!!!!"
I jumped, slid past the bear's armpit. His hand swings irregularly, but still feels heavy and fast. Somehow if I don't slide fast backwards. But it all worked out. Illusion is eight seconds away.
"ARROW!!!!!!!"
The dart of the wind was heard again from behind, hitting the black iron armoured back which even reflected the attack was easy. The bear turned its head immediately with its hands held high and its jaws full of fangs wide open. I clenched my hand, filling all my strength in this right hand.
"YAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
This is a trick I learned during battle practice with Val. A trick that I myself just found out is in my gift concept.
The seven-colored ribbon expanded, danced in the air, circled around the arms, gathered to disappear on the back of the hand. I swung my arm, hurtling towards the bear's attack. I held my breath, adrenaline ridden. The clattering of chains binding the bear's arm sounded, but I did not pull my fist in the slightest.
That thick arm swing was obviously giving a lot more power compared to the blow from my skinny arm, but that was what I was after. The reward I have, my strongest weapon, works better on the opponent who gives the strongest attack.
I don't know, I don't have a guess at what's going to happen. This is the first time I've attempted a major attack. The last time I tried it on Val, he fell down with a sprained leg. Obviously, it made me feel guilty, but Val instead laughed out loud from feeling like he had managed to find what even I couldn't find.
Val's energy wasn't great, which is why his leg wasn't broken. However, the bear in front of me used all the strength he had to swing its thick arms wrapped around chains, with rows of sharp black claws ready to rip apart the flesh of its prey. I don't know what's going to happen, but I'm sure of what I believe.
When my consciousness returned, as far as I could remember, the clattering sound of chains came back together with the thump of heavy items falling to the ground. The pain instantly struck the arm like dozens of swords piercing together. I held my eyes from being closed, and saw a scene that was completely worth the risk I was taking.
The bear's burly arm shattered, exploding like a bursting balloon. Fake oil and blood clots splashed on the ground, grass, trees around, as well as some of my smirked satisfied face.
I succeeded!
