"Assalamu'alaikum" greeted Zulfa as he entered his home. Zulfa stepped into the living room and then toward the kitchen, looking lonely there was no one at home.
"It looks like it's still afternoon? is everyone on the out".
"Well..." Zulfa let out a tired sigh, today his physique and mind are being tested. Maybe lately his cheeks have always been red-coloured like a boiled crab.
The bathroom was Zulfa's goal now, he wanted to raise his head and throw away the tiredness that had stuck since morning. After finishing her bathing activities Zulfa came out of her room with a towel wrapped around her hair.
Zulfa wore a pink nightgown with floral motifs around her, herself heading to the dining table to fill her empty stomach. As a result there is only bread with peanut butter.
"Alhamdulillah" thankfully then ate the bread voraciously.
Zulfa's gaze turned to the door of the living room, the bread in his mouth immediately falling onto the table. Zulfa pushed her seat rough then ran towards her room. The sound of the door slam made the man who was staring at Zulfa startled.
"What's up with Yusuf?" ask Faqih from behind.
"Emm.. just surprised sir".
"Ohh, I thought what the fuck. Yuk eat first before going home" Faqih asked and then sat down at the table to eat.
Faqih who saw the half-bitten bread marks led his gaze to his little daughter's room. "Zulfa?!" the one who got no answer.
"Zulfa?!"
"Yes father" Zulfa replied later. Zulfa immediately rushed out of his room. Now Zulfa wore a long veil that covered up his stomach. Zulfa observed the man at a glance then looked at his father.
"Make food for Joseph's son"
"It's fried rice? I want to"
"Laa kok tanya the same father, you should ask the guest of this father"
Zulfa looked resentfully at the man sitting next to his father, who was the first man to see Zulfa without a veil, though his hair had been covered by a towel but his neck? the neck is also aurat and Zulfa was showing his aurat accidentally.
Come on. I don't know if there's a man in the house, I'm sorry Ya Raab. Zulfa regretted his inner being in heart.
"Would you like some fried rice?" the question is still polite because it looks from his face if the man in front of him is older than him.
"Thank you, but I'm not hungry, don't bother"
"Son Joseph who was troubled? the guest is the king and I respect the guest so son of Joseph do not hesitate"
Yusuf just nodded then Zulfa headed to the kitchen to cook the fried rice. Faqih observed Joseph who put the bread to the plate "Son Joseph what do you think of my son?".
Joseph chuckled softly "She's a hard door-bearer".
Faqih looked puzzledly at Joseph "What do you mean by Joseph?".
"Hehe, forget it sir. Sweet father in my opinion, according to his age. I feel old when I'm next to him" he said slowly.
Zulfa fried the rice while listening to the conversation of two different men of that age. He only heard the man insinuating himself for slamming the door of his room after which he did not hear what they were talking about.
"Zulfa's been cooking it?".
Zulfa flinched at the call from her father, she immediately served the fried rice into the plate "Yes this father is done".
Zulfa put the dishes to the dinner table then left the two humans who were engrossed in their conversation, the father and the stranger. Yusuf noticed Zulfa's departure and then opened the conversation before eating the fried rice cooked by the girl.
"Sir... will the father's daughter agree with this marriage?, from which I see the father's daughter does not like me".
Joseph remained silent and pulled the plate closer to him. "I did agree to marry my father's daughter, but if Zulfa doesn't like it don't get forced".
"I know how you feel, don't feel bad. God willing Zulfa will accept you sincerely, please make my son love you and please guide him with religious knowledge".
"God willing I will do as I can" Joseph nodded, making Faqih stop his chatter and eat his daughter's cooking.
Zulfa sat behind the locked door from the inside, deliberately there to listen to his father's chatter. Zulfa's prejudice turned out to be true that the man was the one who would be betrothed to him.
Zulfa's tears flowed down her white cheeks, the wafts she wore faded with tears. Zulfa cried while covering her mouth hoping that others would not listen to her cries.
Zulfa ran to the bed and covered her face with a pillow, angry, disappointed, sad to be one. Zulfa loved her father so much that she was willing to do whatever her father told her to do.
But for some reason for this Zulfa felt weak, he was not as strong as imagined "Which father of women would be betrothed to a foreign man. Which woman wants to inflame her love for the happiness of her family?".
"Dad I love another man, your daughter loves another man. Only he makes your daughter smile with embarrassment"
"Dad..." Zulfa continued to cry while talking as long as she was tired of the matchmaking her father always talked about. Zulfa is just a young woman who wants to enjoy college.
He did not want to think about marriage or family plans. Zulfa just wants to see his parents happy and his father's happiness is in this matchmaking.
"O Allah, if this is the destiny you wrote, please make me sincerely live all the destiny you gave me" said Zulfa then fell asleep from tears.

Aulia knocked on her daughter's room door a few times, it's been 9pm and she hasn't come out of her room since sobs.
"What's this about?, our daughter won't come out".
"Well bun?".
"Kok even asked back, mother so not calm this".
"Maybe he overslept", Faqih tried to knock on his daughter's bedroom door and there was no answer. "Udahlah bun must have been Zulfa exhausted again earlier when the son of Yusuf came here he who cooked fried rice"
Aulia just nodded then headed for the room, Faqih looked at Zulfa's door "Is this because Joseph came here as a result of Zulfa sulking?" ask in the heart.
"Mas let's go to sleep" called Aulia from the bedroom door.
"Yes I'm coming".
Tonight Zulfa continued to read the Koran, the call of Zulfa's parents was actually heard to his ear. Zulfa originally heard him also answer but quietly.
Zulfa did not want to come out with his eyes moist from crying, Zulfa fell asleep until magrib then rushed to do the prayer and then contemplated waiting for the azan isak to reverberate. The recitation sound of the Qur'an was only heard slowly, Zulfa was not empowered to raise his voice.
Zulfa stopped reading the Koran because of the hp notification that read. Two incoming chat messages on his phone, seen there from Desi and Dani. Zulfa wiped away her rough tears then opened the message.
Zulfa's face again pouted when he was very cheerful because of the message from his best friend. "I'm jealous anyway?" asked then he opened a message from Dani, Zulfa sighed in annoyance at the message from this annoying child.
Zulfa threw away his phone irritated, part of his body he lay on the edge of the mattress. Today he was too tired to look after his best friend. Desi who looks like Dani while Dani? he doesn't seem interested in Desi.
Indeed, there is no friendship between men and women, certainly one of them has a taste, as well as Zulfa. Zulfa loves Hendra and Hendra? Zulfa doesn't know who he likes. His closed nature with women makes Zulfa tired, he wants to convey this feeling but is afraid that the friendship between them is destroyed by a feeling.
