Zulfa held three prayer rugs, the rain was too heavy for this morning. The cold floor combined with the rainy atmosphere in the morning made everyone leave the mattress. The gray curses had been attached to his body covering every aurat that God had commanded to cover it.
He sat down and looked next to his alphabet, breathing heavily out looking straight outwards. "I didn't expect there to be a mum other than me" he murmured with a laugh.
Zulfa looked up as the door opened and raised 2 people there. He then looked straight back out the window, his jealousy closed tightly, Zulfa realized he had to accept reality even though it was very painful. God has promised heaven to a wife who is willing to be honeyed by her husband.
"Now I'm not the only one behind you. When you started your prayer without giving me a smile as usual, you came here not me behind you, but the woman. Are you getting interested in him, should I step back and take you in?" he thought he was asking himself. Zulfa looked at her husband's back and read his intention for the dawn prayer.
Prayer was finished read by the owner of the thick eyelashes, aamiin speech was heard from behind him he then turned his body to experience Salsa then Zulfa.
Zulfa smiled gently, she then asked permission to go down to make a meal for them to have breakfast. The sound of footsteps coming down the stairs did not make him move from his activities, Zulfa remained focused.
"You're too busy to realize that your husband is here" he said, hugging Joseph's possessive stomach.
"Why silence?" joseph asked who had no answer from his wife.
"What do I have to answer?"
"Don't be cold, I don't like you rich gini".
But Zulfa had no time to answer, Salsa had come into the kitchen and made Joseph stop hugging her. Zulfa stopped cutting the spinach as Salsa spoke by hugging her husband.
Although Zulfa turned her back to them she could feel that Salsa was holding her husband. Zulfa's spinach-cutting movements continued as a funny-sounding Salsa conversation spilled out of his mouth.
Joseph tried to let go of Salsa's embrace on her stomach but in vain, Salsa was too rebellious and wanted to hug her husband.
"Mas, you want to work, now take a shower and then have breakfast".
"Yes, I forgot. Please get my clothes ready Fa".
"Well, I'll get ready, you'll get dressed.."
"No need to do it, let me have your work clothes let brother Zulfa continue cooking".
Yusuf was silent and then nodded, and the two of them went up and Zulfa continued cutting the spinach. All went well when her tears fell soaked the spinach, Zulfa did not stop her just keep cooking and cooking ignore her painful feelings.
"Of the Fa don't cry, it's okay if your habits are replaced with Salsa, don't be greedy" he said encouragingly.
"Just help prepare the Fa, sincerely you must ikhl. as hyks, hyks, hyks. Sick. Zulfa's mother's father wants to go home" said Zulfa rubbed his cheek and held his chest tight.
He then took the food, moved it from the pan to the plate and put it on the dining table. Zulfa quickly ran towards the first floor bathroom to wash his face with facial soap to make it look fresher he did not want to look miserable in front of his family.
"Zulfa where are you, let's have breakfast" Yusuf shouted.
"Yes, just a minute.."
With a quick step she headed to the dining room and took food for her husband. But the move came to a halt when Salsa also wanted to get food for Joseph. Joseph was silent to see his two stables giving him the plate he then rejected all the plates of his two stables and took his own food.
Zulfa stiffened he then cleared his throat then sat down to take food for himself. The breakfast was cold and no one started talking until Joseph left them both to work.
Salsa smiled kindly at him, he then left the door somewhere. Zulfa's voice rang to make the owner look at him, a message plastered clearly there telling that the father was sick.
Zulfa was surprised he then ran over to Salsa, knocking on the door hard. "Salsa brother come out"
"What's the Fa, screaming?"
"My father is sick"
"Continue?"
Salsa nodded making Zulfa smile "I will inform Joseph's people".
"Make what Fa, you now go home to your house and take care of your father until healed if Joseph's business let me handle it".
"Thank you" he said sincerely. Zulfa left Salsa but stopped when Salsa called him.
"May I ask you?".
"Ask what brother?".
"Lo let me relate to Joseph like a husband and wife?"
Zulfa was stiff he was confused, his mind and heart were not yet sincere. But what's wrong if he's honest that he's not ready "Sorry brother.."
"Well" a long sigh sounded from Salsa, "Yes I'm sure".
"Thank you" said Zulfa, who fed up with Salsa.
Salsa saw Zulfa leave she smiled "Whose love you forbid me to make contact with my own husband, I also deserve the Fa" Salsa said and then closed the door to her house.
°°°
"Assalamu'alaikum"
"Don't run away" Joseph recalled to Salsa when he saw his wife running to welcome him.
"Mas Yusuf has come home, it's only 8 o'clock"
"Do you want your husband to come home late at night?"
Salsa chuckled then hugged her husband walking towards their room. Yusuf looked around to find the figure he longed for and looked at the woman who hugged his possessive waist "Zulfa where?".
"He went to his parents' house"
"Without my permission?"
"I prevented him for fear of disturbing Joseph's work".
"I'm not bothered, but I don't like him coming out without my permission".
"Mas, don't get mad when you get old. I'm sorry".
"Why should you apologize?" yusuf asked confused, "You're not wrong, Zulfa should be the one apologizing".
Salsa smiled then nodded she helped her husband take off his clothes. "Mas.I asked for my right as a wife" Salsa said suddenly to Joseph's surprise.
"Sorry I can't".
"Why?, is it because of Zulfa" Salsa asked and got a nod.
"Mas.. Zulfa before leaving I asked him and he allowed us both. But if Joseph doesn't want me to leave here, I respect your decision as well".
Joseph, who saw the disappointed look on his face, held his arm, preventing Salsa from leaving the room. "If Zulfa had allowed me to do it" Joseph said, pulling Salsa into the bathroom.
Forgive me Fa, I deserve to get this inner Salsa.
Tonight is a happy night for the two of them, swept away in each other's love, fascinated by each other and forgotten a promise he made to tie the thread that had been intertwined. Whether what happens tomorrow, good things or regrets will come to their story only God knows. As his servants they only followed every fate that was written.
