The Chased Heaven

The Chased Heaven
Move over

The sound of the cry of a small child made Zulfa stop lifting the goods that were in his car. Zulfa's smile expanded as they ran and chased each other. Joseph noticed Zulfa then lifted up the cardboard containing the clothes to be moved into the house.

"You're so happy to see those kids?".

Zulfa looked towards the source of the voice "Yes, I like to see them laughing. Like there is no burden of life".

"Do you want one?".

"Can?".

"Yes, tonight if you want me to teach".

Zulfa fell silent, she did not know the meaning of her husband. Zulfa then followed Joseph into their new home. The house is simple and has a modern design.

"Fa, you make breakfast first. Let me put this in the room" said Yusuf then went upstairs.

"What are you doing today?, soup is likely delicious".

Zulfa then struggled with kitchen tools. One by one he cut carefully preparing all the herbs that were in accordance with what his mother had taught him. When all was done, Zulfa forgot to make his favorite fried onion. He then peeled the onion skin carefully.

"Zulfa" call Joseph.

"Aww" ringis Zulfa when his finger was accidentally scratched by a knife.

Yusuf, shocked to see his wife's bloody hand, held Zulfa's hand tightly and rinsed it in the kitchen faucet. Joseph also blew Zulfa's finger several times hoping the pain would go away. Zulfa's cheeks flushed perfectly when Joseph kissed his finger several times.

"It hurts?".

"Udah is not really a mas".

"Seriously?" joseph asked and got a nod from Zulfa.

Zulfa then completed her cooking activities with the help of her husband, sometimes Yusuf also prank Zulfa to eliminate awkwardness among them.

All the food had been prepared at the dining table, the quiet atmosphere without any chatter made the dining room look silent and gripping. Joseph looked at his wife and put down the glass he had been drinking.

"Fa" called Joseph softly.

"Yes, what's up. Would you like some more or would Zulfa get you a drink?".

"No, today we go to yuk lake".

"Lake?".

"Yes, looking around the area, I'm pointing at my village Fa".

Zulfa nodded in agreement to her husband's request and then she said goodbye to cleaning the dinner table and washing the dishes they had used. After Zulfa's departure, Joseph cheered softly because he did not expect his wife to accept his invitation.

°°°

After the congregational prayer, Joseph and Zulfa rushed to go to the lake. They did agree to go to the lake in the afternoon, probably because the sunlight was not too hot. Along the way many citizens greeted them, Yusuf and Zulfa replied with friendly smiles.

Not only that, the children who herded the cows began to go home to rest the cows they were shepherding. Zulfa smiled kindly as the women who were riding the grass walked home barefooted while the footwear was inserted between the piles of grass they were carrying.

The road that has not been paved adds to the impression of this village is increasingly beautiful. Sometimes Zulfa almost fell down from stepping on a rock.

"Here, hold my hand so that you don't fall" said Yusuf then Zulfa embrace her husband to the lake.

Awe filled Zulfa, and he did not cease to give thanks to God who created nature as beautiful as this. Yusuf then took Zulfa around looking around the lake and finally stopped on a swing with a strong rattan rope and around it attached to vines.

"Sit here Fa" Yusuf said as he patted the spot beside him.

"I've been waiting for this day to come, sitting alone with the woman I love" Joseph said, looking at Zulfa at a glance.

"Spending until sunset, I used to think it must be cool to invite children to play here".

"You know the Fa? you're the first woman I've brought here".

"What the hell is mas?" ask Zulfa curiously.

Joseph who got a response from his wife looked at Zulfa then laughed, there was happiness in his heart when his wife responded to his words "You don't believe?".

Geleng Zulfa "Emm. face mas Yusuf doubt, maybe I believe mas Yusuf will not date but when ta'aruf mas time did not bring a single girl here?".

The twitch in Zulfa's nose was given by Joseph "You are first and last for me".

Zulfa stuck out her tongue in disbelief and got a pinch on her cheek. They both spend time telling stories and go home before sunset.

"Fa, get on my back".

"Huh? no need mas, anyways the mas house will deket, surely soon to arrive".

"You're exhausted Fa, here I'm carrying".

Zulfa simply nodded in defeat, she then climbed onto her husband's back. "Mas Joseph is strong?".

"Do you doubt how strong I am?".

"No" Zulfa chirped quickly "I'm sorry to trouble Joseph's mas".

"No problem Fa, you're my wife".

Zulfa tightened her grip, for some reason she felt comfortable. At first he refused with this marriage but with time Zulfa was able to accept the situation.

As the sun began to set, Joseph and Zulfa were often tempted by passers-by or simply to walk together after coming home from the fields.

"Oh, the newlyweds look messrainya".

"Hehe, yes ma'am. I'm sorry my wife's mom is spoiled she's tired a little ask in the cradle" Yusuf said not entirely lying while the mother just laughed and understood. After the mother was parted, Zulfa pinched Joseph's chest and the victim only grimaced with less pain.

"Mas Yusuf what the hell, Zulfa was ashamed".

"Why to be ashamed, anyways right" said Yusuf "Next night we go to the city of yuk".

"What are you doing?".

"Fetish".

"Come, later buy satay ya same martabak".

Yusuf confirmed the position of his carrier "Later if you get fat how?, now it is very heavy".

"Bas..!!" yelled Zulfa did not like it.

"My skin is sick, if you scream so loud anyway"

"Lagian mas Yusuf nyebelin" said Zulfa then drowned his face on Joseph's shoulders. Yusuf who realized that smiled, his heart beating fast a happy feeling filled his heart. Feeling Zulfa this close makes him no longer fret about his life.

"Sometimes people think, if after marriage will be poor because of the burden that increases. But after you came, I was no longer afraid of the poor Fa, for God gave you your riches" Joseph went down the cobbled path with gratitude. Every step, every memory, every time with Zulfa he will always remember.
