Alex is silent, there is no intention at all to answer Tama's question. Feeling that Tama finally chose to leave the room.
"Rest, though you won't. But you need it" Tama said before passing by behind the door.
Alex didn't feel any pain in his body. His chest still felt extremely painful as he moved, like thousands of needles piercing inside. Every breath was heavy and torturous. However, the fear of losing his soulmate was so much greater that it could make him endure. Alex puts his head next to Arie's. Smelling the scent of the wife's body. The narrow-eyed man desperately wished all this was just a sleeping flower. It will disappear when he opens his eyes.
The day is rolling fast. Two days have passed since the accident that Alex and his wife suffered. The police lost track of the perpetrator, they only found the truck that had been burned down.
While Arie was still lying weak, there was no sign yet of the beautiful woman coming to terms. Doctors have tried everything they can to give Arie treatment.
Grandpa Wu accompanied Alex a full day yesterday. Today it was the father-in-law who accompanied him. With Arow Adinata accompanying his son-in-law.
"Son, you better get some rest, just let your dad and brother take care of Arie." Adinata. He could not bear to see his daughter-in-law who continued to be by his daughter's side.
Alex shakes. "No, I'll stay here. Dad go home, I'm fine."
Adinata could only sigh.It was very difficult to talk to Alex at a time like this. He's very stubborn.
Alex was in the room with his wife. However, he still refused to lie down.
Adinata walks over to Alex, who is next to Arie's bed. With one hand that continues to hold tightly to his wife's hand that feels cold Alex stared fixed Arie's face that is still at home closed his eyes.
"Alex, you need to rest. If you continue like this your condition will not improve. Arie will be fine" said Adinata, placing his hand on the daughter-in-law's shoulder.
Alex smiled wryly at the words of his in-laws. The old man pretended to calm himself. Though Alex knew how he roared in his tears when he first saw the state of Arie.
"I'm fine too, if you think my comatose wife is in good health. So I am still conscious and can speak clearly, much better than him. I don't need a break. All I need now is for Arie to open her eyes again. If you're tired, I'd gladly tell the nurse to take you out" Alex said flatly and coldly. He kept watching Arie.
Somehow Alex's speech is now very cold and impressed like cornering others. Adinata threw away the words of the son-in-law could not say much. Alex's words were not wrong, but whether he should say so. Adinata just wanted to calm him down, why Alex spoke so coldly to him.
"Alex don't talk like that Dad used to, "arow growled. He felt Alex had spoken outrageously to his father.
Adinata hints at Arow to be quiet. Adinata could understand how devastated Alex saw the condition of his wife who was already on the verge of death. He felt the same way when Anjar died.
"Okay son, I'll be back tomorrow. Take care of yourself, Arie will need you the most when she opens her eyes."
Alex did not reply, he was still focused on his wife. Adinata could only let out a long sigh, seeing that Alex did not respond at all.
Adinata leaves the room with Arow. Exiting the room Adinata finds Chiko sitting outside the room. Chiko immediately stood up and bowed respectfully as Adinata and Arow came out.
"Don't you have to be in the office?" ask Arow.
"Today I want to convey something to Mr. Alex directly" Chiko explained.
"All right, then I'll go home first. Please take care of them" Pamit Arow, then he followed his father's steps.
"certain."
After the two passed, Chiko rushed in.
"Master," said Chiko.
"No sir, like what the police said yesterday. We could only find the truck in a state that was already burnt out. I'm still trying to find clues" Chiko reported.
Alex turned his wheelchair around, customarily able to look directly at his personal assistant.
"Give more people more.check every Cctv installed around the minimarket and the place where the truck was burned."
"You should find him immediately. I want the culprit to be tormented for the rest of his life!" alex said with anger.
"Okay sir, I'll do it."
The conversation of the two of them came to a halt when someone of care brought in a baby box. A little baby with his skin still reddened. The baby came after a critical period. The nurse hopes that the patient will quickly be aware when close to the baby.
Slowly the nurse brought the baby box closer to Alex. With forced Alex to catch a glimpse of the face of the sleeping little angel.
What he feared was true, the baby's face was very similar to his mother's. Except for his nose which is similar to Alex's. A sense of haru enveloped his heart, seeing that the little angel was born perfectly. However, fear dominates her, she is afraid she cannot take care of her daughter, or even she can hate her innocent baby if Arie leaves her.
"Why did you bring him here?" ask Alex flat.
"Usually a mother has a deeper bond with her child. I tried to wake up Madam. Maybe Madam will wake up if the baby is nearby," said the nurse explained, she was actually very afraid of Alex's gaze as if piercing to the tip of the foot.
Alex's response was beyond the nurse's expectations. It was the first time Alex had met his daughter, but she was impressed. He didn't even seem to want to see the child.
"You heard it baby, this nurse brought our son to meet you" Alex said flatly.
Hoe..
Suddenly the baby was crying. It was as if she called her mother to open her eyes immediately. The longer it gets tighter.
"Make him quiet or take him out, be noisy!" jolt Alex. His heart felt torn to shreds hearing the sound of the baby crying.
The nurse was still frozen in place. He was still trying to digest the father's words from the baby.
"Are you deaf, I said take the baby out!"
"Yes, sir." The nurse hurriedly pushed the baby box out of the room.
Arie POV.
My body feels heavy and tired. I want a break in this flower garden. So sweet and soothing. There was a white light shining brightly. I'm gonna go over there.
I got up from my seat and walked towards the white light. It was beautiful, like pulling me into it. I took a few steps towards the light.
The sound of a baby's cry sounded very poignant. I turned my body and stepped away from the light. The crying was getting louder from behind a door.
As I was about to open the door, the sound of crying disappeared. I also abandoned my intention to turn the door handle. I let go of the door handle and walked towards the bench where I was sitting before.
