"Fia, I didn't think we'd meet here."
Fia gawked, while Dafin snorted. The man's face was suddenly unsightly.
"You're making a deal with him behind my back?" dafin whispers sounded growling.
"No, Sir. The vow. Wherever I can make an appointment, just called he I can't pick up. How can the story be agreed?" reply Fia with a whisper as well.
"But why is he here?"
"Well, I know, sir. This is a party. It's only natural that there's him. He's also a businessman."
Fia gulped after replying to Dafin's words. He could even hear his own heartbeat. Being glared at Dafin was that sharp and the arrival of a man who was none other than Kevin made him flutter. He squeezed his stiff hands. Somehow he felt very nervous as if he had been caught cheating.
Back swallowing the saliva with great difficulty, Fia stared at the horror towards Kevin.
"Fia, I didn't think we'd meet here" Kevin repeated as he was right in front of Fia and Dafin. Kevin looks cool with a white shirt lined in a dark brown blazer. "Oiya, just call me why didn't you answer?" ask again with a tone that sounds unfriendly, tends to accuse.
"Masa, anyway? Is there?" Pretending to check the phone, Fia showed a crisp smile. "Eh yes, I'm sorry, Vin. My phone's in silent mode. After miting forgot to apply," he continued a little awkward.
Exhaling slowly, Fia felt uneasy after lying. Moreover, actually the presence of Kevin was never imagined by him again. The last time they met—after the announcement of the fake engagement between Fia and Dafin—Kevin got angry and forced him to return to Bali. But Fia who still wanted to work refused hard. Their relationship began at that time.
"Oiya, when did you get here?" ask Fia. He tried to stay calm so that their relationship would last. For him, friendships that have been established for a long time and since childhood do not deserve to be destroyed just because of differences in principles and opinions.
"So noon. To Jakarta just want to come here, replace papa. I didn't think we could meet here. You want to make sure you meet before returning to Bali tomorrow morning," replied Kevin who still sounded flat. Fia was getting nervous to hear that.
"Meet? Why?"
Fia was silent as was Kevin. They looked at each other to make Dafin who was the third person among them snort. He felt ignored and was really unhappy with Kevin's presence.
"Fi—"
Not finished Dafin's words, Kevin first pulled Fia's hand. "I'm sorry Mr. Dafin. I want to talk to you first, Fia. I have something to talk about."
"But—"
Again the words of Dafin were interrupted. Kevin quickly pulled Fia's wrist until Fia inevitably followed. Both were lost to the guests.
The upset Dafin again downed the alcoholic drink earlier as it swallowed water. He felt the need for water to be able to dampen emotions that he himself did not know the origin. Ignored by Fia made him growl, teeth churning with the look of a prosthetic eye. He looked at where the two men had disappeared to. Because of his focus, Dafin did not even realize that anyone was approaching from behind.
"What's gelatin?"
Dafin looked straight at him. The bald man smiled without burden.
''Sir Reynal," said Dafin slowly. He looked up when he saw Reynal Smith. While Reynal, he just smiled a little.
"Sir Reynal is here too?" continued Dafin.
However, Reynal who came with a glass of red wine ignored Dafin's question. It was even fun looking around. After finishing sweeping the surroundings, the bald man's wrinkled eyes were fixed on Dafin who still did not believe.
"Which do you think is more important between being cheated and being ignored?" ask Reynal.
Dafin. He raised an eyebrow next to it and made up, this old man's habit. Asked but answered with a question too, which is strange again. What is that nanyain time?
"I'm cheated," Dafin replied at last. He originally replied.
"Wrong, the one who ngenes is ignored. Especially ignored because it's insensitive."
Dafin was dumbfounded but inversely proportional to Reynal, the bald man carved a smile and patted Dafin on the shoulder.
"Remain, Dafin. The name is sorry it's not good, you know. I assure you," Reynal said and left, leaving without seeing the confused expression on Dafin's face.
Outside the house, Kevin and Fia continued walking hand in hand and had unknowingly arrived at the edge of the pool. Fia who did not understand the words of Kevin before was no longer able to compensate for the evil thoughts in the mind. He pulled his wrist and of course made Kevin stop.
"What are you talking about, Fin?" ask Fia. His eyes stared intensely at Kevin. "Is there anything bad going on with my family?" continued waswas.
Kevin shakes. "No, your family's fine."
Fia breathed a sigh of relief. Of all that could be their talk, only the family was Fia's priority and was always on her mind.
"Thank God. I thought you wanted to tell me the bad news," Fia said.
Strange, after that nothing came out of Kevin's mouth. Suddenly silent atmosphere. Kevin was silent with unblinking eyes looking at Fia. Fia who was stared at like that became misbehaved. He caresses his cheeks.
"Did I wear my makeup off?" tanyanya. "You think it's so great."
Kevin flanged. He was still scanning Fia's face. His gaze was shady but looked serious at the same time and of course made Fia even more astonished. He waved his hand before Kevin's eyes.
"Hey, Fin. You why? Why is cake so sad? Is there a problem?" ask Fia again.
However, Kevin's reaction remains the same—just a head bobbin.
"Well then?"
"I want to apologize for yesterday. I just realized I was overdoing it yesterday."
Fia's smile came up. He slammed Kevin's arm and chuckled. "That's all? I guess what. If that's all you don't get dizzy, Fin. I was dipping. I understand too. We've been victorious for a long time, so it's natural that you're shocked to keep getting angry when you suddenly know I'm engaged."
Kevin fell silent. He was still scanning Fia's radiant face. "But I mean it, Fia. I really want you to come back. We're back, aren't we? Cease working. After all, your relationship is just pretend, there's no reason for you to stay."
"Of course there is, Fin." Fia crossed her chest and then flipped over, her feelings turned to 180 degrees, her smile even lost evaporating in a second. His eyes were fixed forward and he saw the calm water.
"I told Kevin I didn't want to go back. I still want to chase dreams. I want to work because my family depends on me."
"Work matters please trust me, Fia. I'm just asking you to come back to Bali, will ya?" kevin said, he was welding.
While Fia, her face implied dislike. Kevin knows his dreams but always gets in the way. Fia became a little upset. He thinks Kevin is too imposing a will.
"What's the matter, anyway? Why do you keep pushing me back? You know my answer is the same. You also know my dream is to be a career woman. And this is the only way. Please don't block me Kevin" said Fia, she slightly shouted.
"Because I'm not calm. Because I always thought of you. Because you're far away, I can't focus on anything. Please, go back and stay with the man. I don't like seeing you pick him up. I always thought evil. That's why I'm almost crazy."
"K-kevin ...." Fia gasp. He's still digesting every word Kevin just said.
"Please stop working, go back to Bali and be my wife."
