THE ABOVE THE CLOUD(ABC)
60. Daddy Sugar

Sera was trying to find the right time to chat with her Papa.

What does papa like? Hows it?

But it just so happens that the busyness of Muta when it began to increase. Every time Sera talked to her Papa, this topic would stop in the middle, either on the phone or because of other business.

Sera also began to face the year-end exam. With the rush that comes non-stop, time goes by so fast. Without feeling Sera has gone up to 3rd class.

Sera's hair started to grow longer touching her back. The little girl was still looking childish with her pinched cheeks and black eyes. But his movements and attitude seemed cautious. Any who sees the figure of Sera, people will ask ‘anak who she’ and so on in a flattering and awe-filled tone. Parents at the school discover that Sera is the only child of a rising company president.

Listen, the president is a widower.

Lately, Sera is often intercepted by beautiful brothers who are very nice to her. Sometimes offering food, offering to go home, sometimes suddenly venting he likes this, the person is like this, and praising Sera endlessly.

Sera was suspicious of course, but she still tried to be polite. The strangest thing is that there is a beautiful older sister who pretends to fall in front of him. Hey, this little Sera isn't stupid. He wondered if that fellow was practicing the charade? The problem was that Sera's body was too small, it couldn't help.

Because the incident was still around the school before Sera got in the car and went home, Sera guessed they might still be relatives of the students who attended the school here.

Sera was confused by this situation. He finally confided in his friends. In this third year, Sera was still with Khalia and David.

This time Akmal was in their classroom as well.

Time was really not felt, Sera muttered softly. Just yesterday he and Akmal sat together playing a puzzle while at Kindergarten. I don't think they're third grade anymore.

Back to Sera's curse.

Akmal sat down while holding his cheek and listened before replying. “Maybe you are rich little sister for them?”

He remembered his college cousins who liked to shout laughingly at every look at him. They're gonna race to pinch his cheek. Akmal did not like it of course, but in the end they would give Akmal money, he ended up with a heavy heart accepting. Akmal knew from a small age that his face was liked by many people.

David grunting. This one boy always antagonizes Akmal since they are classmates. When their class is apart, they get along.

“Naive.”

“What did you say?”

“Stupid.”

“I report to Miss, yes?” Akmal sneered, unwilling to argue uselessly with David.

David who heard it did not care and just let go of his tongue, before turning back to Sera. This year they sat down. Starting in the third year, each child will have a companion to sit with.

With a proud smile David gave enlightenment, “You don't know? Aunties outside on saying who is suitable to be your Mama.”

“Hah?” Khalia and Sera exclaimed simultaneously.

“Iya, even my cousin who is 24 years old and works in the next city until he knows the news. He asked me, you need Mama gak.” David chuckled, enjoying Sera's distress.

Sera tried to refrain from shaking David's head, considering that David gave him Plushie Panda after returning from Country C before school holidays last year.

“Why are they so insistent? I don't like it either.. Their efforts will be in vain, he means.” said Sera saturated.

“Oh, Sera, you should have seen your Papa time to school.”

Sera raised her face, listening to Khalia who was standing beside the table. “That medal-sharing time, Papa are you coming? The end of the year event that many brothers and relatives were present.. Papa you.. if I hear, mba-mba around me say your Papa is sugar daddy material.”.

“Sugar daddy?” David frowned confusedly.

“Gula?”

“Papa's sugar?”

“Papa sugar?”

“What the hell, unclear.”

“Stupid, this is not a term to be interpreted richly so.” Akmal said anxiously while holding his throbbing forehead. Why does it feel like he's back in the days of Kindergarten? He felt that everyone was sleeping, only he himself was awake.

“Yaudah if so try you translate.” David gave a signal.

Akmal sighed. “It's an adult term where maybe I know.” Akmal, who has an older sister who always teaches bad things (inadvertently), believes that these words do not deserve to be mentioned by elementary school children like them.

“Adults like to use strange terms. Oh, maybe sugar daddy means sweet Daddy? Sugar is sweet?” Khalia guessed, plus, the discussion time of the people looks ‘suka’ once. Who doesn't like something sweet, right?

“Huh, My papa is sweet?”

“Er...,” in the eyes of children, something sweet is definitely a cute, small, beautiful, and adorable. They cannot judge a father-father as ‘manis’.

“So displacing.” David grimacing.

“Hey, my papa is not disgusting!” Sera exclaims.

“Trus Papamu is sweet, so, yes??”

“Ngak....,” Sera replied in doubt. “My father is handsome and dashing! Sugar Daddy means something awesome!”

Akmal patted his forehead, giving up.

“Huh.” David ignored Sera's answer. At that moment his eyes accidentally looked at the window of the classroom and caught a beautiful young woman. David's eyes sparkled at her, he noticed that the woman was staring at him.

“Oh..,”

Three other people who were busy discussing saw David the babbler suddenly shut up. They followed the direction of his gaze and looked at the same figure.

“Wow, angel.” Khalia clucked slowly.

Akmal rounded his eyes, yet he had another thought. Why does that face seem familiar to him?

While the most familiar Sera immediately stood up from her chair.

He half ran out and called. “Kak Arina?”

“Kak why are you here?”

“Kakak asked to pick you up.”

“Oh? But I used to go home at Bi Sri.” he already understood that Kak Arina works, really ‘kerja’ in his Papa company. Although his relationship was a little closer to his Papa, yet as far as he could see their relationship was nothing more than superior and subordinate. Even if there is a time when Kak Arina dinner at home or overnight, it is because he is still a distant cousin Papa. Sera was trying to believe despite still a little doubt in her heart.

“Iya, so today there is a family event, Papamu asked Kak Rina to pick up.” because Arina is more familiar about fashion to wear at an event like this, Reksa asked Arina to choose clothes for Sera. The event was planned since a week ago, but because of the busy work, Reksa forgot. Therefore, Reksa can only make sudden preparations for Sera.

“Family event?”

“iya.., same Oma and Opa also.” Arina knows that Sera doesn't really like to hang out with ‘family’. Arina did not say much.

“Oh.”

“Sera.”

Sera turned around to hear the call. He saw three of his friends standing at the back. David stood at the front with glowing eyes and asked, “Sera, who is it?”

“Why?” Sera frowned, she seemed to know where this chatter was headed.

“Know dong?”

Akmal wanted to know as well, so he just nodded. Khalia beside David looked at Sera and Arina alternately.

“This is Sera's friend, huh?” Arina in her soft voice asked. His body bowed, equated with the eyes of the four children in front of him.

“Oh, Brother.” Sera turned back to Arina. Sighing, the little girl nodded reluctantly and pointed lazily.  “Daud, Akmal.” said Sera briefly then pulled Khalia's hand closer and smiled:

“This is Khalia, my friend.”

“Hai everything.” Arina who realized the difference in Sera's attitude felt amused by her behavior.

Oh, so this is Sera's friend.

Looking at her friends Sera, Arina's smile grew more sincere. “I Arina. Call Kak Arina aja.”

“Hai, Brother. I am David, I sit with Sera.” Suddenly yellow sticking out among others, greget attention. He seemed to know that the topic about ‘Sera’ could attract the attention of the older sister in front of him.

“Oh, really? Hello David.”

“Why did I just see my sister here? If you come every day Sera would be happy!”

Sera: ???? Hellow's?

Hearing David say so, there was no way Sera could deny it, so she simply closed her mouth.

“Oh it's a pity that you have to work, so you can't do it every day.” said Arina followed.

“Oh, it's a pity.” the face of pure David shows sadness. David is a mixed descendant, his natural blonde hair is often mistaken for paint. People who are not familiar with his nature, think he is like a prince in western fairy tale books. Coupled with his now sad face, David increasingly attracted attention. The light gathered on David's head. Unfortunately the corridor was deserted, and the people around him were not appreciating David's appearance at all.

Arina laughed a little in response. “You are so funny.”

“Hehehe. Thanks.” David chuckled in shame, "Sister is also very beautiful." then added. "The most beautiful I've ever seen."

Sera, Khalia, Akmal: ….

Is this really that shitty David? Who likes to argue, babble, and antagonize people?

Why does he look mentally ill?

Sera was ashamed to let David speak in front of Arina. He pulled David away and pushed him back into the classroom. Akmal and Khalia, who were curious about Arina, were ashamed of David's behavior. Both of them were compact to hold David out of class.

Sera turns around and drags Arina to a chair in the shady school garden.

“An hour back from school, so Arina's sister has to wait a minute, okay?”

“Surely big brother interrupted your class activities just now huh?”

Sera did not deny, only explained. “Today the teachers have a sudden meeting, so we have an empty hour. Because soon home so not too tight.”

“Oh thank goodness. Brother forgot you guys were still at class. Seeing you guys who are sweet, brother so anxious to chat.” said Arina full of sorry.

“Cockwise, my friend emang on the strange, especially the yellow one.” said Sera marked David's blonde hair, even so, Sera's slightly flushed cheeks are referred to as members of the children who are ‘manis’...Suddenly Sera's mind was fixed to ‘sugar daddy’ previous discussion. Sera felt there was an idea.

“Sister wait here alone is okay?”

“OK”

“Um... I was actually a bit hungry,” said Sera reached into her pocket and handed her dinner card to Arina. “Can't I leave you to buy me food not make me eat back from school later?”

“Oh okay. What do you want to eat?”

“Em... anything, rice... chicken..

“But now you want two more hours..how about a snack of pastries just make a wedge stomach?”

“Oke.” Sera was silent for a moment, as if remembering. “Kakak must also be tired, brother just sit in the cafeteria while waiting for me. brother eat too, my meal card in use.”.

“Iya, sister knows.”

“I have to go to class, Brother be careful, yes?”

Hearing him Arina was confused to have to laugh or grimace. This little girl seemed to be unsettled leaving this big Arina alone. The woman rubbed the top of Sera's head and nodded. “Oke, sister wait here until Sera finishes school plus Sera food.”

“...Okay.” Sera finally returned to class.

Without Arina knowing, her interaction with Sera was witnessed by the caregivers who sat not far away. Some young women who came to school picked up their niece with the intention to get acquainted with Sera as well, immediately agitated to see the figure of Arina.
