THE ABOVE THE CLOUD(ABC)

THE ABOVE THE CLOUD(ABC)
12. Maybe I got some wisdom?

The director's meeting that afternoon started a few minutes after Reksa arrived. The other two directors were forced to wait for his presence before starting.

Before Agus protested with almost the size of the project expenditure yesterday (stadium construction, etc.), Reksa had bombarded it with orders of raw materials that exceeded the needs. This has happened more than three times and every purchase, handling excess material is always late. Although it is still in the costs listed, but that does not mean Mutual is not a problem with it.

The three discussed the viability of the next project and determined who would be on duty in the field. One of the engineers in the field who had become a candidate resigned because it was not strong with working hours and the many responsibilities that must be carried.

The other director, Ruslan, this time in silence.

Muta took a break at a meeting to call Sera. But she heard that her daughter was already sleeping from Sri's nanny. Finally he continued the meeting with a sour face.

At four o'clock fifteen, Reksa exited the building.

Meanwhile at home, Sera had been bathing and tidy with her rabbit backpack, looking at the short needle pointing to the number four, completely unconscious with the long needle that had passed the number five.

Sera frowned as she thought, while Sri's nanny sat waiting beside Sera.

Before the short needle left the number four line completely, the door opened.

“Papa!!” Sera jumped off the sofa and ran towards him before stopping one step away from him.

Muta who thought he would be hugged, lowered his arm back without the slightest change to his face.

The mutual half crouched down and faced Sera. “Sera is already si–,” she stopped seeing her daughter's face filled with powder. Why does this adorable daughter now look like a mochi sprinkled with flour? Wearing powder is okay, but why should it be like this? What benefits?

Instantly Reksa felt she might have to take care of Sera herself.

Never mind. Mutual decided to talk about this later. Since it was too late, he could not delay their trip to the tomb.

This time Sera reached out her hand asking to be guided with her own initiative. The journey to the funeral was silent. Muta, because he did not know what to say; also Sera who was too enthusiastic to realize the strange atmosphere in the car.

Down at the public cemetery, Sera gazed at the tall gate in awe. He followed Reksa inside and saw that there were only a few people and each of them stood on a mound of dirt. He had never visited a place like this, so Sera had no idea what this place really was. But the thought that he would soon meet his mama made Sera forget her confusion.

It was only when Reksa brought Sera to the front of a tombstone that he was forced to ask. “Pa, Mama?”

Muta pulled Sera closer and pointed to the inscription on the tombstone.

“Sera know what this is?”

Sera.

“Li-ly,”

“Mama Sela Lily.” reply Sera plain.

“Iya. This is Lily, Sera.”'s mama.

Sera seemed not to understand why her mother's writing was on a stone. He looked around, after sure not to see the figure of his mother around the cemetery, he looked back at Reksa like asking for an explanation.

Mutual suddenly mute and speechless. If she explained that her mother was dead, would she understand?

He could not hide and continued to look for excuses because it was impossible for him to show a figure that was no longer present to Sera.

Lying about this is also not a pleasure, even to small children.

Mutual opened his mouth after deciding.

***

Until Reksa carried Sera to the floor of his apartment, his whimpering still did not stop. Although this time the volume of his cries had already reduced, but this was already over two hours.

Sri's nanny was home when they got home. At the table there are dishes that are still steaming. Muta opened Sera's little shoes. Looking at the shoes, he remembered that he had not bought new accessories for Sera other than clothes. He just wanted to move to throw the shoes into the trash, but also remembered with the bag Sera was wearing. Witnessing how Sera had so guarded the small bag, Reksa cancelled her intention and put the little shoe on top of her expensive leather shoe.

He then walked in, patting Sera's back. When he was about to take her to the dining table, Reksa just heard a very slow sound. He then realized that Sera had fallen asleep.

Mutual: ….

Should he wake up, or let it go? She hasn't had dinner yet, but woke up maybe she'll feel sad again? Maybe she'll cry again?

Mutual went into the room and turned on the lights. Instantly a multicolored variety pierced his eyes.

“...” suddenly he felt sorry choosing these colors. He glanced at the mattress where the various colored flower and leaf puppets originally arranged by the window were now sleeping side by side on the bed like a handbag.

Forget it, Sera likes it, so what to change for.

Muta laid Sera on the bed and moved to wrap her face and neck. When he finished, he moved to the dining table to pull the special dish for Sera into the kitchen cabinet. While reading the report on his tablet, Muta ate dinner first and set the alarm at 12 pm later. He predicted Sera might wake up.

Initially Reksa intended to work one-to-two hours. But he began to drown with his work until falling asleep at eleven in his chair. An hour later, he woke up with an alarm.

Holding a dizzy in his head due to a sudden awakening, Muta flicked the mouse and the computer screen that initially died instantly lit up. Reflexively, Reksa glanced at the monitor screen next to her and glanced at Sera's room.

She jumped to see Sera's bed empty and ran to her room.

Mutual started thinking of taking Sera to the master room for a while.

He said that young children sleep alone after the age of 5 or 6 years.

When opening the room door, the Reksa direct light turns on. In that bright and colorful room, he did not see a small figure anywhere. Mutual checked around and under the mattress but did not find it. He checked the balcony but it was clear the window was locked. With Sera's height, he couldn't reach her. As he passed through the closet, he faintly heard the sound of sobs.

Mutual immediately misses and loses the idea of how. He judged Sera crying out loud better than crying alone without sounding like this, making him very worried. What if he's out of breath in the closet, and he doesn't get up or doesn't check into the monitor?

Mutual then realized, that the three-year-old was too dangerous to stay asleep alone.

“...”  Muta opened the closet door slowly and found a small blob covered in blankets, curled up like a turtle in a shell on top of a pile of messy clothes. Occasional hiccups are heard. Mutual hope he doesn't need to see this sight.

His heart seemed to be sliced at the thought of his three-year-old little girl crying alone. Yes, she already considers Sera full as her little girl. From heart.

Muta lifted Sera from her shell, the little girl probably did not expect Muta would find her and was aghast. But as Reksa hugged her and called her name slowly, Sera immediately hugged her neck tightly.

The room light was turned off and he carried Sera around the house. But what came out of his mouth was just a question because Mutuals had no idea what to do.

“Sera don't cry.”

“Sera still has Papa.”

“If Sera is sad later Mama is also sad.”

All were unanswered except the last. Sera raised her head and showed her reddish face and puffy eyes.

Muta took her to the sink in the kitchen and washed her face, then helped her sit up and warm up the porridge before feeding her directly.

Sera may also begin to feel that she is starving because of the bowl of porridge and vegetables she managed to spend.

Muta did not directly bring Sera to sleep, but rather wrapped her in a blanket and carried her to the balcony, finding the starless sky outside.

“...” Mutuals that were poetic were voided instantly.

He brought back Sera in. There was no idea at all what his father wanted to do.

Reksa and Sera sat on the sofa, staring in any direction. Then the sickening classic question came back.

“Sera why?” shit, Reksa. Your mouth has no other questions? It was obvious that her daughter was crying out of sadness..

Asked like that, Sera's eyes turned red again. She almost cried again, but Reksa immediately interrupted her crying. “Sera can later send prayers to Mama so Mama is happy.”

“Mama happy?”

Mutual can only continue his nonsense. He only heard about this matter as late as possible, so he only interpreted it according to his understanding.

“Yes, Mama Sera is sad alone there, sleep.” Reksa says that Lily slept and will not wake up again to be able to accompany Sera. And he also pointed out that the cemetery was where Lily slept.

“So Sera sends a prayer, so that her Mama is not alone anymore.”

“What prayer is?” ask Sera plain.

Mutual: ….

I don't know? The hopes? The dreams? What is it, Reksa is not sure. He never prayed.

“That prayer.. Bismillah-hirrohman-nirrohim.”.

Sera listened seriously as it was about her mama. But listening to him, he did not understand at all. “Bilahim??”

“...” Shit, he can't teach you this. Why should he bring up this topic.

But since it had already happened, he could only continue. “Bi–”

“Bi.”

“Repeat, Bis–”

“Bis.”

“Millah.”

“Millah.”

“Bismillah.”

“Bimiwah.”

“....” at least he stopped crying, Muta reassured in heart. He spent time teaching Sera to memorize basmalah. He also taught her to raise both hands while praying for her mother.

Sera listened with two hundred percent seriousness. It does not take long for him to memorize basmalah, ta’awudz, and greetings.

“...” this includes prayer, right?

“Sera sleep, yes?” said Reksa tired.

“...” Sera's eye gaze that immediately looked up to hear the phrase Mutual like showing rejection.

“If you sleep later pray directly until.”

“Yeah?” sera's eyes instantly shone.

Of course not.

Don't know, added Muta in his heart. But he did not say it and just nodded.

Sera who got the answer got straight down from Reksa's lap and ran herself to her room.

Mutual: ...

Forgetting, he should not have let Sera sleep alone.

At the door of the room, Reksa saw how Sera crawled up to the bed alone and sat down, then solemnly propped up her hands and repeated the three words that Mutual had taught just now seriously.

“...” Mutual was like seeing a light adorning around his daughter.

Muta grew up alone, even though his parents were there, but they were busy looking for a way to get famous. Mutuals get along with bad adults, and it's ingrained. Only after he was forced to go to college and get beat up by his father did he see how much he was left behind.

He tried to pursue and find a job, because his parents were really fed up with his behavior. He could not reconnect with his old acquaintances.

Upon seeing his successful cousin and insulting him blatantly at the party a few years ago, then Muta began to move in search of his way.

It was late but he succeeded.

And so far, he has never known the figure of God.

He knew what the holy month was, and he celebrated. But at that moment, he was just doing his pleasure as usual.

On Fridays, he only remembered how many times he went to pray during his life?

“...” damn, could he be getting wisdom at the moment?
