TERRA EMPIRE: ON THE EVE OF WORLD WAR

TERRA EMPIRE: ON THE EVE OF WORLD WAR
EPISODE 59: MEETING OF THE PREFECTS

Humans living on the upper land have for centuries known that the ocean holds a million mysteries. It is not just the existence of foreign organisms that have never been known or written on encyclopedias or Wikipedia, but deep beneath the ocean camouflaged by the blue water and millions of fish swimming quietly it also saves the life of a city that many thought was long lost or destroyed.

In the deepest part of the sea Neo Atlantis stretches hundreds of kilometers in diameter that almost resembles a third of the European mainland – starting from France to Austria – with a self-sufficient power source that is able to support the entire region was relentless, a seabed city that had never experienced darkness in its entire lifetime dotting the seabed like hundreds of lighthouses by the beach.

The buildings in Neo Atlantis were not so different from those of the cities on the mainland above, however, it's just that there are more arches and dynamics on each side to adjust to underwater currents that often change unexpectedly. The absence of windows indicates that the entire building is prepared to prevent water from entering the interior, although it does not reject at all the encounter of nature with the human technology that built it, the unification of sea water with Neo Atlantis buildings.

The shape of the city resembles a disc, the edge of which is an area that serves as an urban area or residence, between the edges with the shaft is connected by six hexagon-shaped transportation connecting lines, while the shaft part is a component of the center of Neo Atlantis where there is the Imperial Palace as one of the main buildings.

In the Imperial Palace, or what locals know as Magna Palati, that's Mr. Janus. The man had just exited the transporter room and rushed towards the meeting room where the five Prefects were already waiting for him. Balin Pati - Prefect Archipellago, Clementine Cointa – Prefect Mainland, Sylvester Borje – Prefect Avrupa, Takumi Hara – Prefect Pacific, and Magendy Okocha – Prefect Shadowland.

“Good morning Prefect! May you enjoy a good night's sleep,” said Mr. Janus was in the room. He greeted them then exclaimed, “Heil Terra!”

The five turned their heads, stood up, and replied to his greetings together, “Heil Terra!”

Each Prefect had already placed himself on the bench of their choice on a round table, a table that was deliberately created as a simulation of Oculus that could not be occupied because no one had filled the position of the Atlantic Territory, and Mr. Janus took an empty place. The six of them quieted down for a while before starting the meeting.

Mr. Janus started the meeting with a saying, “ Before I describe what is happening out there, it helps us provide updates on developments in each region and what issues are important to note. Who wants to go first?”

“Nothing serious in Archipellago,” Balin getting started. “We got a significant development with the signing of MOU cooperation on the construction and operation of nuclear reactors with the Government of Indonesia. This means next month via Omnitech and Nusapower we can build reactor pillars to defend the area around the ring of fire from cladding on the seabed.”

“Do we still need to do the renovation for the pyramid in the southwest part of the Sunda Strait?” ask Clementine Cointa. “Because if still, means my territory resources that must go there.”

“No need, Clementine. The pyramid was still good enough to work thirty more years. Although our finances are no problem, but there is no harm in a little frugality due to the construction of this reactor.”

“I agree!” Balin nodded. “And hopefully the reactor will be enough to replace energy needs in most parts of Southeast Asia.”

“The most important part in my opinion is precisely the reactor pillar. So that the ring of fire around Indonesia no longer bothers our friend,” Magendy Okocha smiled to Balin Pati.

“I was touched by your concern,” Balin responded with a full expression. “To be honest I'm starting to get a little tired of pulling magma out of the mountain so as not to spray in urban.”

“That I heard,” Magendy grinned.

“Enough of me,” Balin said.

“How about you Magendy? Is there something you want to share with us?”

“In addition to the problems of famine in Somalia, civil war, and slavery by the state and mine owners that have not yet disappeared, Shadowland is completely safe. I guess they keep learning to give more help to these poor people, and that's good because after all the world has to be balanced, ” Magendy said.

“We still keep the animals?” ask Clementine.

“It should not be allowed to disappear from the face of the earth by foolish humans,” commented Clementine Cointa.

Balin defends himself, “The fools also learned from his mistake by preserving the Komodo dragon lately.”

“Which is clear we are responsible for keeping what is left on this earth since the flood hit,” said Mr. Janus.

“Yeah! They are well awake. We have secured some DNA for biological cloning if the animals fail to breed on target,” said Magendy Okocha. “So if you have trouble preserving animals that should be a blessing to your land, just give them to Shadowland.”

“Sounds like a clothes cleaner ad to me. If the dirt on your clothes can not be cleaned with the usual cleaner, use So Clean,” comments Takumi Hara followed by the laughter of his colleagues.

“That's why I love this guy,” Balin Pati pat the Pacific Prefect on the shoulder. “He doesn't talk much but what he says is a fresh joke. So what about your territory, Hara san? Anything important for us to be aware of?”

“Economic competition between China and America is increasingly unhealthy for the upper world. But it is not as important as the conflict between the United States and North Korea. It's just that as long as we're in control of China, then everything is still in control in the Pacific. All I was worried about was the deteriorating natural conditions in some important cities such as Guang Zhou, Wu Han, or Tianjin because their industries were too advanced. Moreover, in recent years they began to develop biological weapons experiments.”.

Clementine Cointa groaned, “I don't understand why we let them develop biological weapons? I mean, are we able to survive their gun attack if it leaks?”

“That's also what I just wanted to say.. when it leaked,” Hara pointed. “My only concern is for the humans who live on the mainland above, not us. Do they have enough immunity and antidotes if they are still limited to aggressive elements?”

“I'm sure we can survive what we have. Just make sure that they don't develop something that's still unfamiliar to us. If you have people in the factories, they make sure we keep getting the latest discovery samples so we can keep monitoring.”

“Quiet, Mr. Janus! There's always our people in that kind of place,” Hara smiled.

“Who's next?” Mr. Janus looked at Clementine Cointa and Sylvester Borje.

“Many things we should pay attention to in my region, how about you first Sylvester?” Clementine Cointa said to her colleague.

“Thank you, Clementine,” says Sylvester Borje. “European union bloc is further weakened by the certainty of the exit of the United Kingdom from the union. What needs to be feared is the following wave of American efforts lobbying Britain and France to support them in their aggression to Iran. If Britain and France move, Germany will most likely follow suit in order to take heart the unity of the united European bloc. If the three countries are united, other countries certainly do not have a choice.”

“How much do you think England and France want to support?”

“Britain will support because America offers economic cooperation in a more favorable scope than they do business with the rest of the countries in Europe. France is in negotiations because they do not want to be controlled in terms of oil supply, on the other hand they must get oil resources to meet the demands of the Commonwealth countries. According to my calculations, sixty percent chance they will support.”

“So it all depends on the development between America and Iran. The sooner we finish it, the better. Where in fact it is difficult, why is it so.The explanation is in Clementine..” said Mr. Janus. “...because after that it's my turn to give exposure.”
