TASTE (I'M A Doctor)

Night shift

Today my turn is guarding the night shift again. As usual I went around to check the condition of the hospitalized patients. Usually I'm with Aiko but it just so happens that Aiko doesn't feel well so she's allowed. Actually not permission but I asked Aiko to rest at home so that her condition quickly improved of course with the approval of Dr. Kang.

After checking the patient's condition, I decided to go to my room. Today I'm on duty with Dr. Kang.

I glanced at Dr. Kang at a glance, he was very focused on reading the results of the examination of the patient who will be operated on tomorrow.

I also sat in my chair and looked at my photo and my twin on the mobile phone screen.

I nodded "yes this doc is a photo of me and my twin" I replied as I held back his phone.

He sat next to me "then where is he now?" Ask curiously. As usual, Dr. Kang spoke a lot.

I was very surprised by his question, but I quickly dispelled my shock as "he was dead when we were little" I replied

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to"

"It's okay doc"

"Let's eat. I'm so hungry" he said arriving to reduce my feelings.

I also nodded in agreement with his invitation. I honestly haven't eaten since noon.

We went to the cafeteria and ordered the food. Menu bagin this every day is different there are halal and also there are non halal.

"I want to order rice and seaweed soup with meat. What did you order?" Ask Dr. Kang to me

I thought, today's menu is seaweed soup with meat, then I asked to make sure what meat he used "ahjeossi sorry I want to ask the meat used halal or not?" Ask me politely. He thought for a moment "sorry miss this food is not halal" replied his canteen trader understood what I meant.

"All right I order a drink and also bread" I said then followed by a nod of the uncle.

"I'm sorry because I forgot that you can't eat it" Dr. Kang said

He nodded, not long after the meal until "do you mind if I eat this in front of you?" Said Dr. Kang feeling bad

"It's okay doc, I'm used to it too" I replied again

After asking my permission he devoured the food as well as me devouring the bread I ordered earlier.

"Why did I forget to bring the supplies that Ani had made. If you bring supplies, you do not need to eat ginian bread" my inner.

After we finished eating, we went back to work. I'm busy monitoring patients and taking notes on patients.

But I haven't seen Dr. Kang in a while, but I don't pay attention to him because it's too late maybe he's resting in his room.

After I finished controlling all the patients, I sat near the administration to rest for a while but arrived Dr. Kang came.

"It's food and it's halal" he said as he offered food to me

Again I was surprised to be made "take it and eat it" he continued.

I took the food and immediately took my room. And so did he follow me.

"I'm sorry I've been troubling you" I said between meals.

He nodded and continued to focus on reading the patient's condition file that I had written and checked.

Now it has shown at 4 am, my eyes are very sleepy but the work is still a lot "if you sleepy sleep for a while" said Dr. Kang as if to understand my situation.

I firmly shook my head because I did not want to get a bad appraisal for my certificate. I tried to divert the sleepiness that hit me by pacing back and forth in the room and occasionally check the condition of the patient again.

It didn't feel like it was 7 in the morning and it was time for me to go home for a break.

I also say goodbye to Dr. Kang. He offered to drive me but I refused slowly. I really did not want to bother him but with his persistence I finally resigned.

"How can you drive in this sleepy state" he said on the way. My eyes are too heavy to open.

I just kept quiet did not answer it because it was not able to resist sleepiness and did not realize I was sleeping in the car.
