The five of them ran, down a long hallway that would lead them to the emergency elevator. But unfortunately their journey is not as smooth as their shadow, in every corner and connecting door there must be undead ready to pounce and make part of them.
All five tried to outsmart by not making any sound, even their entire body was bathed in perfume. Fortunately, Ina still has some bottles that she took from the supermarket some time ago, while trying to escape from the attack of the undead with Samuel, Mother and Sister.
Under Samuel's direction, the four of them help each other to get to the rooftop and get on the helicopter. Luckily Veron was trained to ride it until they could breathe with relief, even if only a little.
"Snuggle!" Samuel sizzled softly as he saw some undead surrounded the elevator doors that would lead them to the rooftop. The man clucked in annoyance, maybe if one or two undead he could handle it, but if more than that it was difficult. What's more, the only weapon they had was an iron rod that Samuel found upon returning to the room where Ina and the others were.
"We go through the stairs only," proposed Zean who had just kept watching the surrounding area, especially the direction from behind their bodies. Zean was afraid that the undead would arrive without their knowledge.
"Through the stairs must pass through the undead first." Veron looks gaunt. If only there was something in his hands that he could use to hit the damn undead, he might have advanced.
"You take them to the elevator, I'll distract the undead."
Ina turned his head, he had not had time to voice to forbid Samuel had first risen and came out of hiding. The man walked firmly closer to the undead who were seen starting to piqu, sniff and slowly moved closer as if provoked.
"HEIII HERE!"
TING
TING
TING
The sound of iron flashing that Samuel hit made the undead more aggressive, they attacked and moved outside especially as Samuel ran while continuing to hit the iron rod to the floor causing a deafening loud sound, making the undead more brutal and outside chasing Samuel.
"Come on!" Veron pulled Aiko's arm. They immediately headed for the elevator door, followed by Zean. But his third step stopped when he saw Ina still silent and pecked at his place while looking worriedly at Samuel who was getting away from him.
"Yes!"
"Sister!"
Aiko and Zean's calls aren't even able to make Ina aware. The girl only moves when Zean pulls her and takes her brother to follow Veron and Aiko who have already gone to the elevator.
"Why did you let Samuel go alone? Don't you guys care-,"
"He'll catch up with us later! You don't worry, Samuel isn't stupid and weak." said Veron.
Ina fell silent, she complied as Zean continued to drag her along. The girl's eyes kept on the empty passageway that was passed by Samuel to divert the undead.
"Damn! Elevator's locked. We can't wear it to get to the rooftop fast."
Everyone was stunned, including Ina who had been busy thinking about Samuel's situation. Aiko came closer, she stared in disbelief at the iron door that Veron repeatedly kicked.
"We're just going through the stairs!" Aiko decides first, she is quickly followed by Ina and Zean. Behind them, Veron continues to feed the elevator doors that he cannot handle.
Stairs are not the best way, because they believe there is not sure safe from zombie attacks. But how else, there is no other way but through the stairs and elevator to get to the rooftop.
The sound of their steps echoed as they climbed each step of the stairs. A noisy voice that could have invited the undead to chase after them. But the four people are also unlikely to step slowly, because it is demanded by time and circumstances.
On the other hand, Lukman, Anita and one oriental-faced woman were seen rushing in the footsteps of the bule man who was in front of them. The three rush, two boxes of vaccine are on hand and they must immediately take it to an uninfected place.
"What about our son?" asked Lukman with a worried look.
Brant turned his head, he looked at the tired face of the dead man making the prevention of this deadly virus. Brant knew very well how the oriental-faced man worked in his pressure to have the vaccine finished quickly.
"My sons and nephews will take them."
Lukman was speechless, his worried face slightly lessened, he glanced at Anita and co. The two women were still in the same face, worried and scared.
Back where Ina and the others were, hundreds of steps had gone up. His fourth breath was stinged, even Veron coughed as he felt his throat start to dry.
He rested his hands on his knees, Veron was still trying to neutralize his breathing as well as his heartbeat.
"Aaaakkkhhh!!!"
Both of Veron's eyes flashed when he heard Ina and Aiko's screams from upstairs. The second time the weak again moved quickly, Veron swallowed his hard-earned salivary when he saw two undead attacking the three.
Braak!
The man smashed a nearby garbage can into one of the Zombies. Quite successful but it only seems to invite the creature to do clayy and brutal.
Zean still has trouble with resisting attacks, he tries to protect his brother so as not to be bitten by the undead who look so horrible and disgusting in his eyes.
Braaak!
Aiko mercilessly hits the creature's head using a fire canister that she somehow gets from nowhere. The undead fell, almost to Zean if only the teenager did not immediately dodge. Aiko immediately reached out to Ina so that her friend would wake up, Ina had saved from the creature's attack and now she also did the same
Break it!
"Come, before the other creatures come!" Veron took immediate steps. He walked first after helping Zean get up, one hand reaching for the fire extinguisher in Aiko's hand. Looks like this thing is enough to knock out those creatures.
Rooftop is not far away, their breath is thinning. Even Zean who was still visible can now start not strong anymore to step, Ina even to support his sister to keep going.
Braak!
Veron smashed the door hard, breathing heavily, eyes twinkle with relief visible from both eyes when he saw a helicopter already parked on the helipad and ready to fly.
"Uncle," he murmured.
His steps were reflexively backward, even Ina and Aiko who were nowhere behind Veron almost fell backwards as the man took an impromptu step.
"Why? Is there a goddamn thing!" Aiko was stunned, she took a step back as well as Ina and Zean when she saw two creatures, not two but four undead walking limping around near Helicopter.
"That?"
"Sam's father" said Veron.
Elsewhere Samuel was still running, this time he was no longer chased by zombies. But he was far enough away to rush towards the rooftop.
"I have to go to Dad's room. There is a door that connects directly to the rooftop area." he murmured.
Without waiting for him to immediately run towards the elevator, his steps were stopped when he saw one undead not far from the elevator door.
Samuel clucked, again he had to distract the creature again just like before.
With the keys in his pocket, Samuel threw the object far enough away to make a noise and attract attention.
Successfully, the creature pursued a voice that he thought was very beautiful. Samuel came out and got into the elevator. It only took a few seconds for him to be upstairs, where his father's office was.
Samuel came in, lucky that the door wasn't locked. But again Samuel was stunned, he stared at every corner of the room but there was no one including his father.
Where's the old man? Has his father escaped?
Without wanting to think about anything unimportant, Samuel immediately pressed a button on the wall to open the bookcase that connected the place to the rooftop.
Before long the door was open, Samuel immediately rushed in and did not forget to bring the items he might need later there.
He sighed violently, his mind branched out, besides thinking about his father who turned out to have run away, he also thought of Ina. How's the girl doing? He hopes Ina survived to the rooftop.
Braak!
The connecting door opened, and this was the umpteenth time he was stunned when he saw something in front of him.
"Dad," he murmured.
He walked slowly, his knees loosening as he saw the person who became one of those monstrous creatures was his own father. The one who is indeed responsible for the chaos in New York and the country.
"SAAMM!"
The cry of someone resuscitated Samuel, the man turned his head into a voice. Both of her eyeballs rounded back when she saw Ina trying to hold her body so as not to be touched by the creature. While Veron tried to turn on the helicopter that arrived problematic.
It was no longer just 4 beings but so many undead here, and it all happened because the door from the direction of the stairs opened making the undead who were still left there approach.
Samuel ran towards Ina who was dying to block his father's incarnate creatures.
BUGH!
Although Samuel's trembling still hit the head of the creature using an iron rod that he carried until no longer struggling.
Ina immediately got up and hugged Samuel tightly. He cried, his hand hit the body of the man who was currently staring blankly at the sky.
The helicopter began to light up, the roar of the propeller resuscitated Samuel to hurry away from there. Zean and Aiko approach after successfully closing the door from the direction of the stairs and defeat several undead who manage to get out to the rooftop using an extinguishing gas canister.
"You okay, Sam?"
Samuel lowered his head, he was still silent as he looked deeply at Ina who was still holding her. Until finally Ina was stunned when Samuel scooped his lips suddenly, sipping it slowly before releasing it again.
"Better than that" he said lightly.
Ina was still sculpting, her two eyes not blinking at all. Even when Samuel pulled his arm to get into the helicopter, the girl was still frozen.
He didn't think Samuel would kiss him, right on his lips. It felt like Ina was yelling, but she tried to hold him back. Until finally exclaiming the propeller of a helicopter not far from them makes Ina and the others stare in that direction.
"HURRY, THE CREATURE IS GETTING MORE AND MORE. WE NEED TO GET OUT OF TOWN!"
The sound of the screams sounded indistinct, but the five of them were quite understanding and immediately rushed up. The helicopter's propeller roar is getting louder, flying anything it can afford to fly. From up there they could see how the beautiful city was destroyed, the chaos where, even Ina and Aiko could not afford to look down continuously.
"It's over" said Veron, he let out a rough sigh. He rested his head on Aiko's shoulder, and strangely the girl was neither angry nor evasive.
Similarly, Ina, he hugged his sister tightly, his heart was relieved when he saw his parents were in a helicopter that had flown far ahead of them.
Tiredness has changed with tranquility, even though their city is destroyed, the inhabitants become terrible creatures because of the likeness of irresponsible people, but they will not forget all the memories left there when getting a new place to live later.
"You want to come with me, Nay?"
Ina turned her head, the embrace of her sister she did not let go at all. Both of his eyes looked deeply at Samuel, slowly his smile was present, the girl nodded and enjoyed Samuel's embrace from his side.
It's over, but the story is just beginning.
