Chapter 27

Bruuk!

Both of Ina's eyes were wide open when she heard a loud noise from outside the minimarket which was quite dark. Ina turned towards Aiko and the mother who was asleep nearby. While Zean, the teenager slept near the Mama Anita. Ina also turned to Samuel who also still closed his eyes while leaning against the goods. Everyone was still asleep, probably because they were exhausted.

With Ina awake, the girl looked outwards at the sight of someone from outside. Fear, but curiosity dominated him more at this time. Despite the fear, Ina still walked towards the glass wall that became a barrier between the outside and inside of the minimarket.

His eyes narrowed when he saw a man dressed as a policeman, but his manner of walking and gestures seemed abnormal to Ina. If he's a cop, it's not like that cop can help them get out of the area as soon as possible.

"Hey! we...,eemphh!"

The sound of Ina's cry was stifled when she felt someone smothering her mouth from behind.

"Ssttt, don't make any noise okay!"

Samuel whispered softly in Ina's ear, and the girl let out a sigh of relief when she found out that the person who was smothering her mouth was Samuel.

"He's Sam's cop, not that we can ask that cop to get us out of here!"  Ina spoke again, though her voice was whispered and only Samuel could hear her.

Samuel's gaze pointed at the man Ina said was a police officer, the man was indeed dressed as a law officer. But the way he walked and his movements looked strange.

"I'm sure something's wrong inside that precinct?!"  Samuel narrowed his eyes even more when he saw how the man's movements were not far from them.

"Shii*t, he's looking at us!"

Samuel immediately pulled Ina's arm and hid under the cashier's desk, while the man outside the mini market was seen walking towards the mini market area that became the hiding place of Ina Samuel and others. The man was seen walking limp with his nose constantly moving as if he was sniffing something.

The sound of the glass door opening, Ina who was curled up under a fairly closed cashier table could only tightly hug the body of the man who was preparing to throw a small blackout tube they found under the cashier's desk.

"How are the others?"

Ina whispers back to Samuel, Ina worries about Mama's sister and Aiko's friend, who Ina makes sure they are still fast asleep. What's more, Zean, the teenage boy will definitely have difficulty when awakened if it's sapped and fast asleep.

"You wait here, don't make the slightest sound, okay!"  Samuel stared at Ina with orders.

"Where are you going?"  Ina grabbed the end of Samuel's warm jacket as the man was about to die himself.

"I will wake them up, before the officer who has started to turn into a terrible creature finds them. I'll be back soon, so please! you don't go anywhere okay!"

Samuel convinces Ina to let her go, but when Ina does not wake them, it is certain that the half-finished creature will find all of them.

"Be careful, Sam!"

Ina looked worriedly at Samuel, but she was also worried about Mama and the others. Samuel looks down the hallway minimarket with heart, lest he meet the creature at the end of the hallway later.

Braak!

Samuel held his breath as one of the floor cleaning bottles fell and broke right in front of him. His steps stopped when he saw the creature at the end of the hallway that Samuel was going to pass, what should he do now? stay put or turn around?
