Chapter 23 (Bond of Mother and Child)

Riko returns home to pick up baby Nayya uy reunited with Melati. Riko asks Mia for permission.

"I want to bring baby Nayya to meet Melati," Riko's permission

"For what Mas, he's still so small he doesn't understand anything. Why did you want to go to the hospital?"

"I hope Melati will come to her senses from her coma after meeting Nayya. They mother and son must have a strong bond."

"Alright take her but I'm coming with you" explained Mia glancing at Riko.

Hospitalized

Riko asked the nurse for permission to enter the ICU room with her baby. At first the nurse forbid because Nayya's baby was still very small but Riko kept begging and finally the nurse allowed it on condition that no more than 10 minutes.

Not wasting a long time Riko immediately entered the ICU room with baby Nayya while Mia waited outside and looked out from behind the glass window.

Riko approached Melati, put Nayya's baby to sleep nearby and held Jasmine's hand to Nayya's baby's head.

"Darling to see who's coming, can you feel it, Ainayya our son came to see you. You know I named her after you Ainayya Hikari, you said you wanted to name this baby by that name. Nayya needs you so much so get up quickly. He can't stay here for long so meet him at home. Nayya is waiting for you," said Riko Iirih in Melati's ear.

Riko kissed the baby Nayya to Melati's cheek and then took her out because the nurse had called her to come out.

Riko gives Nayya to Mia to take her home immediately. Then he went back into the ICU.

"Are you happy now, I have fulfilled my promise but I beg you to keep your promise to wake up" said Riko holding tightly Melati's hand.

Melati shed tears, slowly opening her eyes. Soon Riko shouted to the Doctor. The doctor came to check on Melati.

"Where is my wife Doctor?"

"It's a miracle payk conditions Melati Mother is very good, later we will move to the VVIP treatment room," said the doctor then left the room.

Some nurses moved Melati to the treatment room.

Riko was so happy she hugged and kissed Melati venting the longing she had this week harbored.

"Thank you for keeping your promise even sooner than I thought" Riko said with a face to face.

Melati still looked weak and pale lying on the bed.

"Thank you for bringing Nayya here" Melati said, her voice barely audible to Riko.

"Can you feel his presence?"

Jasmine nodded

"It's good to recover quickly we'll go home to see Nayya," Riko smiled.

Tok .. tok.

I heard the door knocking.

Sari, Dani and Rose entered the room and immediately hugged Melati tightly. Her mother shed tears.

"Why do you cry, Melati is here, Mom." Melati wiped away her mother's tears.

"Happy mother is very happy, these are happy tears. Thank you for trying so hard, I'm so scared to lose you." Sari hugged Melati again, venting all the worries she harbored during this week.

"So mom don't worry anymore Melati's back in Mom's arms." Melati smiled and everyone in the room smiled happily.

3 Days later

Melati's condition has improved and allowed to go home.

Melati lay in her room with riyko.

"You don't work Mas, these few days you keep accompanying me in the hospital?"

"Everything has been taken care of by my Assistant, so just calm down a month of work is also not papa," said Riko lightly.

"You are that!" jasmine said a little annoyed.

"I'll take food for you" said Riko stepping away to take food for Melati.

A few minutes later Riko came back with a tray of food and jasmine.

"Let's eat fast, I'll bribe you?"

Riko scoops the food and feeds it into jasmine's mouth. Riko painstakingly fed the jasmine while continuing to look at Melati's face, Riko continued to smile.

"Why did you keep smiling, is there something strange on my face?" Melati rubbed her face rough.

"Nothing strange." Riko pulled Melati's hand which rubbed her face.

"Why do you keep smiling?"

"I'm just happy to see your face, I'm happy with you, the more I fall in love and go crazy with you. I thought I was going to die when you were in a coma yesterday.Don't you ever leave me again!" riko firmly.

Melati just smiled saying nothing.

Finished eating Riko helped Jasmine take the medicine.

"Where your promise will bring Nayya here, I would love to see and carry her," Melati's plea whined a little.

"You're already 1 child's mother but your behavior is still like a boy." Riko pulls Jasmine's nose in a pinch.

"Is she beautiful, what is she like?I'd love to see her, do you have a picture of her?"

"She's beautiful like her mommy and you guys have the same eyes that made me fall in love." Riko thrust her phone at Melati showing her a photo of their baby.

"Nayya is so beautiful she must look like her Daddy. Just looking at the picture made me anxious especially if I carried it,"greeting towards Riko.

"You're so upset look at Nayya, why don't we make her another one like Nayya?" said Riko stared at Melati flirtatiously.

"You're starting again, huh!" jasmine said annoyed banging Riko's body.

Riko giggled happily because it managed to make his wife upset.

"Is your shirt wet, baby?" tanya Riko pointed to Melati's chest.

"Yes my asi go out, can I breastfeed Nayya, Mas?"

"Why are you asking like that, Nayya is your daughter."

"I feel unworthy to have Nayya, because there's a Mother who's been looking forward to her for years." Melati took a long breath.

"Nobody has more right to have a child than her birth mother who for nine months was pregnant and risked her life to make her baby see the world."

"Why do you say that, Mom, do you want to end this drama. You're gonna hurt Mia's mom and your family."

"But if it continues to hurt you, I have promised not to hurt you again" said Riko looking into Melati's eyes.

"I'm fine Mas, you better let go of me. I'm letting go of Nayya for you and Mia's mother.began to live happily with Mia's mother."

"Do you not love me at all and want to leave me, you want to be with Andika?" Riko shed tears.

"It's not like that Mas, I just want things to go I don't want to hurt Mia and your family." Jasmine hugged Riko.

"But you're gonna hurt me, I love you and just love you."

Melati was flabbergasted hearing Riko's words and released her embrace.

"What do you mean you don't love Mia anymore?"

"I wasn't sure but after you fell into a coma I realized you were the one I loved. Me and Mia are just tied to a wedding. Slowly the love was eroded and is now gone."

Melati was silent hearing this her heart was worried between being happy or sad.
