Lisa lowered her gaze from the sky and looked towards Mingyu. "You think I'm stupid" he said with a sigh. He straightened his body and tried to dispel the longing he felt for the man. Then calmly and with great pride he said, "We can't marry."
The black mingyu eye brows clutched over her beautiful gray eyes. "You decided not to get married, just because I don't think wet soil smells like perfume?"
"You don't understand a word I'm saying" Lisa said tenaciously. "The truth is that if I marry you, you'll make me an unhappy person like you. And if you make me unhappy, I will definitely repay you by making you unhappy, and then in a few years, we'll both be as wry as your grandmother. Don't you dare laugh," hardened Lisa when she saw Mingyu's lips twitch.
Mingyu grabbed Lisa's hand and took her for a walk down the path that separates the rose gardens and leads to a gazebo covered in trees decorated with spring flowers. "You don't put one important fact into your consideration. Ever since I took you to the inn, your life has changed completely. Even though your mother was just bluffing about suing me in public court, your reputation is already ruined." Mingyu stopped at the gate of the gazebo and leaned against the trunk of the tree and spoke in a dataset tone and bluntly, "I'm afraid you have no choice but to give me the honor of being my wife."
Lisa giggled amusedly, stunned by the man's figure and his manners, though she now disrespectfully refused the man's invitation to marry. "Marriage to an ordinary girl from Morsham is not at all an honor to a noble like you," he reminded Mingyu jokingly, "and although you did not say it sincerely when we last parted, it is not the case, you're not my servant. Why did you say those words to me?"
Mingyu snickered contracting Lisa's cheerful demeanor. "Horms" he admitted.
Lisa shakes her head, looking like a charming girl who has the courage and intelligence to argue with Mingyu. "Have you never said anything sincerely?"
"Rarely."
Lisa nodded knowing. "It seems, saying what one has in mind only applies to what your grandmother insultingly referred to as 'lower class'. Why do you always seem to want to laugh every time you see me?"
"For some reason I can't understand," Mingyu replied amusedly, "i like you."
"That's good, but it's not enough to be the basis of a marriage," Lisa persisted, returning her first worries. "There are a few other important things, like......" His voice disappeared in silence. Like love, he thought. Love is the only thing that matters.
"What-like?"
Unable to utter that word, Lisa hurriedly shifted her gaze and shrugged indifferently.
Love, Mingyu speechlessly finished the sentence with a long sigh, he desperately wanted to return to the meeting with the manager of his grandmother's land that was cut off earlier. Lisa wants love and romance. She forgot that innocent girls of Lisa's age certainly expected a little affection from her future husband. Insisting on not wanting to stand in that place like a drunken fool and trying to persuade Lisa with empty sweet words, he decided a short kiss was the quickest, most effective way, and most powerful to carry out his obligations and eliminate the anxiety of the woman, thus he can continue his meeting.
Lisa surged nervously when Mingyu suddenly raised a hand then cupped her cheek, forcing her to stop paying attention to the gazebo gate.
"Look at me," the man in a low, seducing and unfamiliar voice made Lisa's spine flutter with anticipation.
Lisa slowly turned her gaze to the man's brownish face. Although no one has ever tried to kiss her, once looking at her seducing expression and my eyes it was Lisa knew something was going to happen. Immediately he felt anxious and without further ado he said, "What are you thinking?"
Lisa's highly active imagination immediately works when she recalls the novel she once read. When kissed by the man they secretly love, the female character always falls unconscious, or sacrifices her honor, or says in love half dead. Afraid of embarrassing herself like that, Lisa firmly shook her head. "No, really," he said. "I... I think you better not do it. Not now. You're really good at offering, but not now. Maybe next time I...."
Not caring about Lisa's protest, and trying hard to hide her gel, Mingyu placed her fingertips under her chin and raised her face to be kissed.
Mingyu closed his eyes. Lisa opened her eyes wide. Mingyu lowered his head. Lisa prepares herself for love. Mingyu touched her lips lightly to Lisa's lips. Then it's all done.
Mingyu opened her eyes and looked at Lisa to see the woman's reaction. But what was seen was not an innocent joyous reaction as expected. Lisa's eyes widened in confusion, and, yes, disappointed!
Relieved that she did not embarrass herself like the female characters in the novel, Lisa frowned at her tiny nose. "Is a kiss just like that?" his question to the respectable man whose famous hot kiss can make a girl let go of her girlhood and a married woman forget her wedding vows.
For a moment, Mingyu was motionless, observing Lisa with her reckless and calculating gray eyes. Suddenly Lisa saw something exciting and dangerous glowing inside the gray eyes before her. "No," Mingyu muttered, "There's more," then her hands wrapped around Lisa's arms, pulling her closer so that their bodies barely touched each other.
His little heart, which Mingyu had thought to have died a long time ago, chose that inopportune moment to suddenly wriggle awake after so many years of silence. 'You seduced a child, Mingyu!' His little heart warned with disdain. Mingyu hesitated, more in shock to realize that her little forgotten heart had suddenly appeared and not from feeling guilty for her actions. 'You deliberately seduced an innocent child to do your will because you didn't bother to explain to him.'
"Now what are you thinking?" ask Lisa to worry.
Some ideas came to Mingyu's mind, but he then remembered Lisa did not like empty praise, therefore he decided to be honest. "I think I did something unforgivable because I seduced a child."
Lisa, who was more relieved than disappointed that Mingyu's kiss did not affect her, felt like laughing. "Toss me?" repeat while chuckling amusedly and then shook his head so that his wavy hair became messy. "Oh no, for that you can calm down. I think I'm stronger than any other woman who would pass out if she kissed and handed over their honor. Me," he finished his sentence wittyly, "not at all affected by the kiss. No," he added, "meaning I feel that kiss is disgusting, because it's not so, I swear. That kiss was pretty good."
"Thank you," Mingyu said, with a flat face. "You're really good." Holding Lisa's hand in the curve of her hand, she turned around and guided the woman a few steps into the gazebo.
"Where are we going?" ask Lisa that.
"To a place not visible from home," Mingyu replied flatly, stopping under the branches of a flowering apple tree. "Mild kissing is allowed in the rose garden between couples who are getting married, but, a more passionate kiss should be done in a more closed place, or in the gazebo."
Lisa, who misunderstood the straightforward and lengthy explanation, did not immediately realize the intent of her words. "That's amazing!" he laughed and looked at the man. "Among the nobility there are rules for everything. Is there a book that talks about all of this?" But before Mingyu could answer, he gasped, "Me-kissing me with passion? Why?"
Mingyu glanced towards the gazebo gate to make sure they were alone, then directed her entire seducing skill through her gray eyes and lazy smile towards the woman standing in front of her. "Egoku," his god in a low voice. "My ego was hurt imagining you almost fell asleep when I kissed you earlier. Now, let's see if I can wake you up."
