Six Of Foxes (Six Foxes)

Six Of Foxes (Six Foxes)
The silva 2

The shipwreck was more than a year ago, but time has not been long. Some of Silva wants to go back to the moments before they were spoiled, to the long days when they were Silva and Reader instead of a Knoulbar and a witch hunter. However, the more Silva pondered, the more he was convinced that moments of togetherness never existed. That three-week period was a lie that was built by him and Reader to survive. A bonfire that burns people alive is the true truth.

"Silva," Reader said, now sprinted behind her. "Silva, listen to me. You have to hang on to the others."

    "Let me alone."

As Reader held his hand, Silva turned around and clenched his hand, as a result clogging the air breathing flow into the young man's throat. An ordinary man would certainly let go, but Reader was a trained Dushenka. The young man snatched and locked Silva's arm next to his, pinning his arm against his body so strongly that he could not use his hand. "Stop," said the soft Reader.

Silva thrashed to fight the Reader's grip, looking up as he glared at her. "Take me off."

    "can't. Not while you're still a threat."

"For you, I'll always be the acaman, Reader."

The corner of his mouth was raised, forming a regretful smile. His eyes almost implied sorrow. "I know."

Silva slowly released. The Knoulbar stepped back.

"What will I see at the Royalemerald?" Silva according to explanation.

    "You're scared."

"Yes," said Silva put his chin forward, defying no point in denying.

    "Silva-"

"Say. I need to know. Torture room? A blazing fire on the roof?"

"The bonfire is no longer used for executions at the Royalemerald"

"Then what? Drawn until the convict's body is split in four? Shoot squad? What is the view of the execution grounds visible from the royal palace?"

"That's enough, you judge me, Silva. I know, since I've tasted it, and this way doesn't solve anything, it has to stop."

"He's right. You can't go on like this" said Tera standing in the snow with the others. How long have they been there? Did they see themselves attacking Reader?

    "Don't interfere" snapped Silva.

"If you keep fighting, you two will cause us all to be killed, even though I still want to lose cards often."

"You must find a way of peace" said Krista. "At least for a while."

"This is none of your business" growled Reader.

Ken stepped forward, his expression fierce. "Of course it's our business, and keep your tone."

Reader raise hand. "You've all been deceived by it. Here's his skill. He assures you that he's your friend and then-"

    Krista. "Then what?"

    "That's it, Krista."

"No, Silva," Reader said. "Tell them. You once said that you were my friend. Do you remember?" He looked at the others. "We traveled together for three weeks. I saved his life. Then save each other. After we arrived at Divayina, we could have revealed his identity to the soldiers we saw there at the time. But I didn't do it." The reader started pacing, his voice rising, as if memories were mastering him. "I borrowed money. I'm working on an inn. I was willing to betray everything I believed in to ensure his safety. When I saw him heading to the dock to reserve a spot on the yacht for us, a Kalterville merchant who was there was ready to leave." Reader returned there, standing on the dock with Silva, as Silva could see in the young man's eyes. "Ask him what he did then, this honorable ally. The girl who judges me and my people."

No one said a word, but they all watched, waiting.

"Tell them, Silva." urged Reader. "They should know how you treat a friend."

Silva gulped, then forced himself to stare at them. "I told the Kalterville man that he was a slave trader and that he was holding me captive. I asked for their mercy and begged them to help me. I kept the seal I took from the slave trading ship we attacked near Mudik Island. I'm using it as evidence."

Silva couldn't look at them. Ken knows, of course. He must inform Ken of the charges he was about to withdraw when pleading for help to the young man (Episode 15 Reader). However, Ken never brought it up, never asked why, never reprimanded him. You could say, Ken's feelings actually became calm after giving his year. A young man nicknamed Fox or Dirty Hands was unlikely to judge others.

But now, the truth can be witnessed by others. The Kaltervilleans secretly knew that slave traders were entering the port of Moontown, while most of the contract workers were slaves. Silva knows exactly what will happen when he taps Reader with the charge.

"I don't understand what's going to happen" Reader said. "I don't speak Kalterville, but Silva can. They caught me and fucked me. They threw me into a cell in the boat and locked me there in the dark for weeks along our way across the sea. The next time I saw the sunlight was in Moontown, when they dropped me off the ship."

"I had no choice" said Silva, tears choking his throat. "I don't know---"

"Try to tell me one thing" Reader said. Anger overflowed in his voice, but Silva could hear other emotions as well, such as pleas. "If you could go back to that time, if you could undo what you did to me, would you do it?"

Silva forced himself to face them. He had a reason, but what's important? After all, where do they deserve to judge him? He straightened his spine and raised his chin. She's a member of Geak, a Cherry Blossom worker, and sometimes a dumb girl, but most of all, she's a Knoulbar and a warrior. "No," Silva said firmly, his voice echoing. "I'll do it again."

Suddenly rumbling the ground. Silva almost lost his footing and saw Ken resting on a stick.

"Has the fault so far in the air?" ask Reyn.

    Reader frowned. "Looks not. But---"

A piece of land was ejected from under the Reader's feet, toppling it to the ground. Another shove to Silva's right, knocking him on his back. In them, a similar thing hurled upwards, as if the earth had come to life. A strong wind slapped them, accompanied by swirling snowflakes.

    "What the fuck?" exclaim Tera.

"Sort of an earthquake!" yell Krista.

"No," while pointing to a dark empty spot, unheard by the roaring wind. "We're under attack."

Silva crawled to find shelter. He thinks he's lost his mind. There was someone above the sky, hovering far above him. He watched the humans fly.

The Storm Caller Knoulbar can control the airflow. He had even seen them throwing each other into the air to play around in the Little Palace, though, but controlling a human in order to fly constantly requires a level of skill and devotion that is beyond reason - at least until now. Arta mortem's. Silva has little faith in Ken's display. Silva even suspects that Ken lied about the events he witnessed so Silva would come along. But it's different that if Silva's head hit and lost his memory, it's real.

The Storm Caller circled above, stirring the air until it became a crazed typhoon.

"I need a distraction!" yelled Tera from the middle of the storm.

    Silva heard a whirring sound.

"Come on," cried Reyn. Silva revealed to the snow. A boom blared above, while an explosion lit up the sky right next to the Storm Caller and crashed out of line, concentrating on maintaining balance. Even if it was only a few seconds, Tera got enough time to aim at the rifle and shoot.

The eruption shook and evaded the Storm Caller to the ground. A piece of ice came back. They are trapped like animals in cages, ready to be slaughtered. Tera took aim in between the chunks of ice, in a row of trees far away from them. Silva realized that there was another Knoulbar there, dark-haired and, punching upwards. Before Tera wanted to shoot, the ground came up and Tera was thrown because a mound of earth suddenly appeared in her leg. He fell while shooting from the ground.

The young man in the distance squealed and fell, resting on one knee, but the other was still raised, so the ground was still rumbling. Silva raised his hand, trying to target Knoulbar's heart, but the target was too far away.

She saw Krista giving Ken a warning. Without a word, Ken positioned himself behind the nearest hunk and cupped his hands to his knees. The ground swayed and swayed, but Ken stood firm as Krista threw herself gently into the young man's hand. The girl disappeared behind a chunk of rock without any fuss. A moment later, the ground was ground.

    "Cats are reliable" Tera said.

They stood in a daze, the air seemed to be too calm after the hustle and bustle just now.

"Reyn," nasal Tera while waking up. "Get us out of here."

Reyn nodded, took a lump of clay from his bag, and gently leaned the lump against a nearby rock. "Everyone get down" he ordered.

They chatted while taking cover. Reyn patted the powerful explosive device and plunged away, directly crashing into Reader and Tera while they all covered the ears.

    Nothing happened.

"Are you kidding me?" tera Tukas.

Bums. The hunk exploded. Ice and rock debris rained down on their heads.

Reyn was covered in dust and revealed a somewhat dumbfounded expression. Silva tried to hold back the laughter. "Try to make sure that you know that your tools will work."

Silva and the others find Krista standing tall near the trembling body of a Knoulbar. The young man was wearing army green colored clothes and his eyes were blurry. Blood poured out on his upper thigh, while a knife sticking out from the right chest. Krista must have thrown the knife when she escaped from the stone cage.

Silva knelt down beside the young man.

"I need a little more" muttered the Knoulbar. "A little more." The Knoulbar grabbed Silva's hand and it was only then that he recognized the young man.

    "Nerst?"

He twitched to hear his name, but was not impressed to recognize silva.

"Nestor, it's me Silva." He attended school with the young man in the Little Palace. He was a Fabricator, one of Durast's masters at manipulating metal, glass, and fiber. The incident just now made no sense. Fabricator make textile, weapon. He should not have been able to act like the one Silva had just witnessed.

"Please," asked Nestor, his face wrinkled. "I need more."

    "Mortem?"

    "Yes," he was. "Yes, please."

"I can heal your wounds, Nestor, as long as you don't move." The condition of the young man was severe.

"I don't want your help" he said, encouraging Silva.

Silva tried to calm the young man down, slowing his pulse, but Silva was afraid to stop his heart. "Please, Nestor. Don't move."

The young man was screaming against Silva.

    "Hold him" Silva said.

Reader moved to help and Nestor raised both hands.

The ground became a wave and stretched Silva and the others backwards.

    "Nestor, let us help you."

The young man staggered up and pulled a knife from his chest. "Where are they" he cried. "Where did they go?"

    "Who?"

"Kuwei People!" his roar. "Where did they go? Come back!" He took a step forward, and another step then fell to the ground.

Silva rushed to his side and turned it over. His eyes and hair were covered in snow. Silva pressed his hand against his chest, trying to recover his heartbeat, but it was useless. If the body is not damaged by medication, the wound is not fatal.

Something is wrong, Silva thought languishing.

Ken and Tera returned while panting.

    "Is something?" ask Reader.

Tera nodded. "The company of people is heading south."

"He's calling the Kuwei people" Silva said.

"We knew Kuwei would send a team to get Erikson out" Ken said.

Tera looked at Nestor's trembling body. "But we don't know they sent Knoulbar. How do we know they're mercenaries?"

Ken thrusts a horse-drawn coin on one side and two crossed keys on the other. "This is stored in the pocket of the Storm Caller," he said as he tossed the coin to Tera. "That's shu ye Kuwei. Crossing coins. He was sent on a government mission."

"How did they find us?" ask Krista.

"Maybe Tera's shot caught their eye" Ken said.

Tera grumbled and pointed at Silva and Reader. "Maybe they heard these two guys fighting each other. They've probably been following us for miles."

Silva was trying to digest the information he had just heard, Kuwei did not use Knoulbar as a soldier and they were other with the people of Bearchen; the Kuweis did not consider Knoulbar's devotion to be disgusting or unnatural, they still think Knoulbar is human. Kuwei would not be willing to use Knoulbar as a mercenary. At least, it used to be. Maybe mortems have changed their tactics.

"I don't understand" Silva said. "If they have arta mortem, why bother chasing Erikson?"

"It's possible they have, but they can't produce it" Ken said. "According to the Board of Merchants. Or they make sure Erikson doesn't tell anyone the recipe."

"You think they're gonna use Knoulbar who took mortems to break into the Royalemerald?" ask Krista.

"If they hire a lot of Knoulbar" Ken said. "That's what I'm gonna do."

Reader bobbing head. "If there's a Heart Furniture among them, we're done."

"Just now we're almost dead" Krista said.

Tera slid his gun to the shoulder. "Reyn has donated services."

Reyn jumped when he heard his name called. "Really?"

"Yes, let's just say it was your first installment."

    "Let's go ahead" said Ken.

"We have to bury them" Silva said.

"It's too hard and we don't have time. The Kuwei team is still moving towards Udeshleg. We don't know how many more Knoulbar's deploying, let alone the Rav team might already be inside"

"We can't leave them here to be eaten by wolves" Silva said, his throat choking.

"Do you want to make a bonfire for them?"

    "Fuck you, Lunark."

"Just do what you did, Liveko," Ken rebuked. "I'm taking you to Barchen not to perform funeral rituals."

    Silva raised both his hands.

The girl stepped forward, but Reader moved in front of her.

"Stop," says Reader. "Let me. I'll help you dig a grave." Silva looked into the young man's eyes. Reader took the chisel from his bag and handed it to Silva, then took another chisel from Tera's bag. "From here, head south" Reader told the others. "I know this area and I'll make sure we catch up with you by nightfall. We can move fast by ourselves."

Ken stared at the reader. "Remember your letter of pardon, Reader."

"Is leaving them both a good idea?" reyn asked, while they moved down the slope.

    "No" answered Krista.

    "But we still do it?"

"We either trust them now or we trust them later" Ken said.

"Will we talk about Reader's testimony regarding Silva's loyalty?" ask Tera.

Silva could vaguely catch Ken's answer: "I'm pretty sure the word 'straight' and 'honest' has already been crossed off our resume." Even if he wants to beat Ken, Silva would not want to be a little grateful as well.
