In a small, narrow healthy room, Silva tried to heal Krista as before, but she never did this or got training for this kind of job.
During the first two years of education in the capital city of Juwel, all the Soulvalin Knoulbars were gathered in the same place, learning the same material. However, their education should be split. Healers learn the intricate twists and turns behind wound healing, while heart furniture becomes warrior-experts wounding people, not restoring. Although in fact the order is branching out equally, only the remains of each branch are motivated by a different foundation of thinking. To kill, a clear target is needed. On the contrary, healers need every slow stage.
However, while looking at Krista, Silva hopes that the lessons he has learned are not mediocre.
Civil war broke out when Silva was a child, he was forced to flee with his classmates. When the war was over, King Juwel wanted all the remaining Knoulbar soldiers to be gathered by training and released into the field as soon as possible. Therefore, Silva only spent six months in advanced grade. At the time, he was excited. Now, he is grateful if only he could attend school just a week longer.
The slender-bodied Krista was muscular and small-boned, statured like an acrobat. The knife stabbed him under his left side arm. He barely survived, not if the knife that had struck him was sharpened diligently. It was only a few inches from his heart.
Silva knew that if he had done the same to Reyn earlier, scrapping his skin, Krista would have had internal bleeding. So he tried to close the inner wound so as not to keep bleeding, but Krista had lost a lot of blood, and Silva did not know how to deal with it. He had heard that some healers were able to equate one's blood with another's, but the technique had to be done correctly, otherwise the patient could be poisoned. Clearly, it was all far from Silva's expertise.
In keeping the wound closed, Silva also covered Krista with a light woolen cloth. For now, Silva can only monitor Krista's pulse and breathing. Intrigued, Silva rolled up Krista's sleeve on the right. Her skin was smooth unmarked. The fox tattoo and pocket watch that leads to the exact 3 o'clock, the tattoo that the full-time Geak member bears, is not printed on Krista's body. In Krisbow, the gang alliance shifts here and there, but our gang is our family. Silva himself has two tattoos, on his left arm symbolizes the House of Cherry Blossom, while the real tattoo is sealed on his right arm: a fox who wants to wake up or sleep at 3 o'clock. The tattoo conveys the time when the living and the dead world really becomes thin and inseparable, or called: Witching Hour. At 3 am the paranormal powers increased. And of course the tattoo also conveys the world that he is a member of Geak, harassing him is the same as inviting revenge from them.
Krista's been at Geak longer than Silva, but apparently not tattooed. Bizarrely. He is one of Geak's most valued members and it is clear that Ken trusted him - to the extent that he trusted someone. Silva recalled Ken's dream of putting Krista on the table, his face the same as usual - cold, sassy, outrageous - but under his anger, Silva felt the other one too. Or maybe his heart is purely romantic.
Silva couldn't help but laugh at himself. How unlucky are people who fall in love. Love is the guest we let in but then cannot be told to go home.
Silva flicked Krista's straight black hair from the face. "May you be well," Silva hated her soft, vibrating voice in the cabin. It didn't sound like a warrior or a formidable member of Geak, instead like a boy who was somehow out of nowhere. He trained to be too short a soldier and, sent on his first mission too early. Lita even commented so, but they begged to be allowed to leave. Finally the senior gave up.
Lita Awkalin - a mighty Storm Summoner, whose beauty is too late, and can crush Silva's confidence to pieces once his eyebrows are raised. Silva idolized it as high as the sky. Sembrono, Tol*l, lack of concentration. Lita said so to Silva and others, even ugly again.
"You're right Lita. Satisfied now?"
"Teler," said Tera.
Silva looked up and looked. He saw that Tera was swaying back and forth while resting on his heels. "Who's Lita?"
Silva squeezed back in his chair. "Nobody, Member Hochi Knoulbar."
"Well, the one who controls the Second Army?"
"The Remnants of the Second Army." The Knoulbar Juwel warriors had been severely beaten during the war. Partly fled. Most died. Silva rubbed his tired eyes. "Are you the surefire way to find Knoulbar who doesn't want to be found?"
Tera rubbed his hanky, held his gun, then grabbed his neck again. Tera always seems to be moving. "Never thought of that" he said.
"I think if they don't want to be found, let's leave it alone."
Silva glanced at him fiercely. "Barchen won't let them, they hunt everywhere."
"Is it active like Reader?"
"It's worse."
"I have to find the shackles of his feet. Ken gave me a good job."
"You changing?"
The overflowing energy became a thin figure, Tera who was unable to stay still suddenly receded. Just this time Silva saw Tera as this. For the first time in this cramped cabin, Tera nailed her gaze to Krista. He deliberately turned away, Silva realized. He doesn't want to see Krista. The blanket had shifted according to Krista's shallow breathing. Tera spoke, her voice tense.
"He can't die" Tera said. "It's not like this."
Silva squinted his eyes at Tera in confusion. "Not like this how?"
"He can't die" Tera repeated.
Waves of frustration swept through Silva's mind, he felt swayed, between wanting to hug Tera tightly and snapping that he had put in the most effort possible. "For the sake of Goddess Shi, Tera," he said. "I've tried my best."
Tera shuffled, her body coming back to life. "I'm sorry," he said rather gloatingly. He patted Silva on the shoulder awkwardly. "Good job."
Silva scolded. "Not conclusively, there, just chain the blonde giant."
Tera saluted and lowered her head to get out of the cabin.
According to her touch, Krista's skin was too cold. Silva pressed his hand against the girl's right-left shoulder and tried to smooth out her blood flow, in order to raise her body temperature slightly.
Silva was not one hundred percent honest with Tera, Hochi not only wanted to save Knoulbar from the prisoners of the Barchen. They also have their own mission on the island of Mudik to find Knoulbar who may still be alive in hiding, and try to convince him to resettle in Juwel and serve the kingdom.
