The reader was unable to. He had not expected it to be this heavy to return to see his hometown again the first time after so long. He had a week more on top of the septicaye to prepare himself, but his head was busy thinking about the path he had chosen: Silva, Silva, a vile witch who took him out of a holding cell and placed him on a ship that drove north under the boundless sky.
The northern coast is spotted briefly for the first time in the afternoon, but Aye decides to wait until dusk in hopes of their landing disguised by a dimly lit sheath. Whaling villages stood along the coast and residents could have seen them. Although they were camouflaged as a group of hunters, nobody wanted to be caught. Geak stands out once is a suspicious group.
They spend the night on the boat. At dawn the next day, Silva approached the Reader while packing the equipment for the cold temperatures shared by Tera and Krista. Even though the girl's eyes were still marsupial, she was flexible, not stiff at all, and even in pain, Krista shrewdly hid it.
Silva held up a key. "Ken told me to let go of your shackles."
"Are you going to hold me back at night?"
"So Ken. And you, perhaps. Please sit down."
"Just shine that key."
Silva. "He also wants me to remodel your face."
"What's? Why?" Altered her appearance by Silva's sorcery is an unacceptable discourse.
"We're in Barchen now. He wants you to look the other way with you right now, just in case."
"Do you know how big this country is? Likely--"
"Even if you're not recognized here, the Royalemerald may recognize you, but I can't change your appearance immediately."
"Why?"
"I'm not a good Spear. All of Soulvalin is now taught that skill, but I'm personally lacking."
Reader degrading.
"What?" ask Silva.
"I've never heard you admit that you're not shrewd."
"Well, it rarely happens."
Reader was horrified when she realized that her lips were forming a smile, but it was easy to remove the smile when she thought that her face would be changed. "Lunark wants me flanked?"
"Not much. I will change the color of your eyes, your hair - even if you have only a little hair. The change won't be permanent."
"I don't want to." I don't want you to get close to me.
"It won't be long, nor will it hurt. But if you want to refute ken---"
"Yes," said Reader while bracing herself. Free to argue with Lunark, moreover, he can lure Reader with his forgiveness letter. The reader took a bucket, turned it over, and sat there. "May I borrow my shackle key now?"
As soon as Silva handed over the key and Reader removed the handcuffs that shackled his wrists, Silva put down his carry-on box. The box is hand-held and consists of a number of small drawers containing jars of powder and pigment.
"Why are there biscuits?"
"Lack of space" Silva said as he pulled out a black container from a drawer.
"That's what too?"
"Black antimonium." Silva approached Reader, then thrust his chin back with a fingertip. "Split your jaw, Reader. If you keep bluffing, your teeth could be all destroyed."
Reader cross.
"Stop it," the Reader grumbled.
"What's? Keep your head up."
"What are you doing?"
"Blacken your eyebrows and eyelashes. You know, like a woman going to a party" Reader must have grimaced, as Silva suddenly burst into laughter. "Express your face!"
Silva leaned forward, his wavy brown hair stroking Reader's cheeks while he blended antimonium on the young man's eyebrows, his hands clutching Reader's cheeks.
"Close your eyes" muttered Silva. While his thumb rubbed his eyelashes, Reader realized that he was holding his breath.
"Your woman is not like a rose anymore" she said, then wanted to kick herself. He should have paid no heed to the smell of Silva's body.
"I think it's like a ship."
No, she smells sweet, delicious like... "Caramel candy?"
Silva's eyes were bellowed, implying guilt. "Ken told us to bring the things we needed for the trip. People need to eat, right?" The girl reached into her pocket and took out a bag of caramel candy. "You?"
Yep. "No."
Silva shrugged his shoulders and stuffed a grain into his mouth. With the eyeballs turning and sighing. "It's so bad."
Reader was suddenly embarrassed to be able to watch Silva eat all day. This is one that Reader likes from Silva - he enjoys everything, whether it's caramel, cold water from the river, or deer jerky.
"Now the eyes," said Silva as he stroked the caramel candy and picked up the tiny bottle in his suitcase. "Open your eyes."
"What's that?" ask the nervous Reader.
"The solution, developed by a Knoulbar named Avfa Parila, is the safest method for changing eye color."
Silva is leaning again. His cheeks were red with cold, while his mouth was slightly open. Her lips were only a few inches away from Reader's lips. If the reader sits more upright, they kiss.
"You must look at me" Silva ordered.
I've been looking at you. The reader looked away so glued to Silva's eyes. Remember this coast, Silva? Reader wanted to ask, even if she knew the girl remembered.
"What did you make my eyes?"
"Why don't you stop talking? Do you want me to blind you?"
Reader sontak.
Finally, Silva turned back while examining the appearance of the Reader. "Brown," he said. Then he blinked. "Like a caramel candy."
"Erikson what are you gonna do?"
Silva straightened his body and stepped back, his expression trembling. "What do you mean?"
Reader was reluctant to see Silva's relaxed demeanor, but that wasn't important. The reader glances over his shoulder to make sure no one hears him. "You know exactly what I mean. I can't believe for a second that you're gonna let these people hand Erikson over to the Kalterville Merchant Council."
Silva returned the bottle to the small drawer. "We must do this at least twice more before reaching Royalemerald so that the color can be more concentrated. Pack your things. Ken wants us ready to leave on time." He closed the box and picked up the shackles. Then go him.
