Nalla's Promise

This morning I was preparing to take a class at one of the most extraordinary schools in my city. Initially refused out of shame, but Sister Nalla always encouraged to rise and was not inferior to my circumstances.

"Are you ready, Ci?" he asked when I combed the hair that began to be long almost waist-length.

"Leave the hair tie, brother."

"Here, Brother Nalla help."

His hands began to rub this hair gently which a comb helped to tidy it up. Not so long ago, my hair was bound by his help.

"Well, it's beautiful" she said with her hands pinched this nose plan.

I smile.

"Free, Brother. I can't see what my face looks like?"

"Don't talk like that, just pray. There will come a time when you can see this beautiful world."

The words of Kak Nalla are always able to cool the heart, he's a substitute mother after his return a few years ago. We lived three of us at home with Dad. I have been blind since childhood. In the past, it was Mother who always encouraged. After Mom's return, Nalla's sister was always there for me.

"Depart, yuk?" take him while giving me the stick.

I'm nodding.

We darted on a motorbike, the gentle wind flashing my face this morning. I tightened my arms at Sister Nalla's waist.

"You scared?"

"Ah, no. It's just that Cici wants to hug Nalla. Sister Nalla's been good always there for Cici."

Suddenly, Nalla stopped his vehicle. It looks like he got off the bike, before long my shoulder was holding.

"Ci, Sister Nalla will always be an eye for you. Never fear the darkness that is with you at all times, for there is Sister Nalla who always faithfully illuminates your steps. Spirit, yes, Ci?"

I'm nodding.

Not long after, Nalla again drove his motorcycle. Eventually the motor stopped again.

"Have you arrived?"

"Already, Ci. Come, Brother Nalla interracial," he asked.

His smooth hands began to guide me to walk. Until I finally felt a hard object in front of me. Maybe this is the door? There are also many voices here. Maybe they're my new friends, I don't know.

"Good day, Mom?" said Brother Nalla.

"Just, this is Sacred, huh?" said a woman.

"Yes, I put my sister here to study. Please guide him, I don't want Saints to be fooled by others."

"Surely, I will guide him as best I can."

"Let's go with Mommy, will you?" said the woman who might have been my teacher at school.

I tightened my grip on Sister Nalla. I was afraid of having to communicate with new people.

"Holy why?" ask the woman when my feet are pecking.

I hugged Brother Nalla, "Cici is afraid, Brother," I muttered to her.

"Not to be afraid, there will be a teacher who will take care and provide knowledge for Cici."

I nodded, Sister Nalla has always managed to make me a courageous person. It really became the eye and the encouragement of my dark life.

I stepped in assisted by the woman who said Kak Nalla is my teacher. Ah, I hope he's as good as Nalla.

"For the children."

"Morning, Mum ...." Many voices are heard in my ears.

"This is your new friend. Come on, introduce your name, you're beautiful" she told me.

"Hi friends. My name is Holy Khanaya. Just call me Cici, greetings everyone."

"Greetings, Cici."

After a few moments of introductions, I was finally welcome to sit down. The teacher took me to sit next to someone who didn't know what his name was?

"Hi, you're Cici, huh?" I heard a man beside me.

"Yes, who are you?"

"I'm the Son, greetings" he said, then the hand grabbed me.

"Greetings to the Son, may we be good friends" I said with a smile. Although he may not see, but I'm trying to be friendly with a new friend.

The lesson began, I did not think it was very exciting to get knowledge even new friends at this school. Until it was not felt, the school clock had rolled quickly and the bell rang.

"Holy, let's go home." Son invites.

I walk with a stick as a guide. I don't know why, I always miss Nalla.

"Son, come home" said a woman calling.

"Yes, Ma!" reply Son. "Ci, I'm going home first, huh?" said my son to me.

"Oh, yes. Be careful, my brother will be picking me up soon too."

It seems that the Son has passed away with someone he called Mama. Not long after, Brother Nalla called my name.

"Ci!" screeches with a less clear voice.

"Sir Nalla in front of your school gate!" Again, Sister Nalla called me.

I walked with the help of a stick down the street until my hand held an iron, maybe a school gate.

Suddenly there was a sound of objects being dragged along with the sound of screams from Kak Nalla.

"Yeah!!!"

"Sir Nalla why?"

"I'm useless" I said, sitting on the street with the stick I was still holding.

"Cissies?" I heard Dad's voice.

"Dad, Sister Nalla ....." I cried in his warm embrace.

Not many words, Dad asked me to go to the hospital to catch up with Nalla, he said, with the water flowing in the corner of my eyes, I can only pray that everything will be fine.

Arriving there, Dad immediately invited me to find information about Kak Nalla. After bagging the information, Dad took me to a room.

"Nalla?" father said as he heard the door of the room open.

Dad led me in.

"Dad? The sissy?" the woman who has always been the eye of my life.

"Sir Nalla." I cried when Brother Nalla grabbed my hand.

"Where are you, Nalla?" ask Dad.

"Nalla is fine. Oh yeah, please read this, Dad."

I don't know what they're talking about and I don't know what I read from Sister Nalla. I can only look up and always hope everything will be okay.

I received word that today someone will donate his eyes to me. Ah, very good of him.

"Come, are you going to the hospital?" take Dad.

"Good, Dad."

Without asking much, I followed Dad. However, after I arrived.

"Cock instead of diem? Come on," take her while I'm still sitting in the car seat.

"I'd like to see Sister Nalla first, Father."

"No, your hours of operation will begin. So you need to get an operation done."

"Oh, like that. Yes, hopefully this will be a surprise for Nalla. Finally, I will see my face, Brother Nalla is also Father," I said with a smile.

I was finally taken into a room. Ah, I can't explain it because anywhere and whenever these eyes are always dark. Yes, I am Holy Khanya, a fifteen-year-old blind from birth.

**

The bandage wrapped around the eyes to the head finally opened.

"Slow down, huh? If you feel dizzy, you close your eyes and open slowly again," said a man.

I followed him, sure enough I felt dizzy when I opened my eyes. Immediately I closed and started slowly until finally a man in a white uniform smiled even a mature age man with a handsome face beside me.

"Holy," said the man I knew his voice.

"Dad? Is this really Dad?"

I was amazed to hold back my tears, amazed to see the man who always guided me and always held me in despair. Look at the whole room, see the activity from the window. Ah, wait, there's less.

"Where's Nalla, Dad?"

"Son Nalla has come home."

"Well, why don't you meet Cici here?"

"Sir Nalla rests at home, Ci." Dad turned his eyes.

"Oh."

I don't think time is rolling so fast. I was in the hospital for five days, so I was finally allowed to go home. Happy when I hear the news. With passion, I came home with Dad.

"Why do we stop here? What is this place?"

"Later you know, come with me."

Without asking much, I followed the steps of my father who entered an area. Until finally the move stopped.

"Hold, it's a gravestone, that's a headstone" Dad said.

I'm holding. "Mother, this is Mom's headstone, right?" I memorized it so much when I held the thing that Dad called a headstone.

"Who's this then?" I pointed to the gravestone that was beside Mother's tombstone.

"Sir Nalla." Those tears fell on Dad's cheek.

"What's? Dad said, Nalla's sister is home? Dad lied!"

Dad hugged me with sobs. "Nalla has fulfilled his promise."

"What promise?"

"It will always be an eye for you and now it's yours."

"What?"

Dad nodded. "It's a picture of Nalla, she said you'd love to see her." Dad showed me a picture of Nalla.

"Oh my God, Brother. Why when I can see, and Sister Nalla is gone? What is this vision for? I'd rather not see than Brother lying there. Oh God, you are so unfair!" I hugged a headstone that was still made of wood.

"Don't be like that, all the way to look after Nalla's eyes because he has given it to you. I'm glad you can see, Ci," he said.

"I'll watch the eyes that Brother gave me. Calm down there with Mom, huh, brother? I'll keep Dad here." I rubbed Kak Nalla's headstone with a broken feeling.

END.
