28. Suspicious

At 7 a.m., Arfian arrived at the hospital. Before entering the hospital building, Arfian stopped by the hospital canteen to buy breakfast because he did not have time to eat at home. Arfian also intends to buy Early breakfast.

While walking down the aisle to Early's treatment room, Arfian saw a man who had just come out of Early's treatment room. Arfian felt familiar with the man's face. Arfian tried to remember the man's face.

“Who is the man. It looks like I've seen his face but I forgot where I've seen his.” Arfian Mumbles.

After pondering for a long time, Arfian remembered that the man was the man who was with Early in the photo sent by Keisha via email. Arfian recognizes the man's face as Early's older brother.

“He's her brother Early. Doesn't he live out of town. Oh, maybe Early contacted the man so that his brother could accompany Early in the hospital.” Inner Arfian.

Arfian went into Early's treatment room.

“Mas, where have you been. I missed you last night. I'm sad you weren't with me last night.” Said Early with a disappointed tone of voice.

“I'm sorry Darling. My body, soul and mind were very tired. I accidentally fell asleep.”

Arfian then kisses the top of Early's head.

“One more time, forgive me.”

“Iya Mas, it's okay. I just feel sad you weren't with me last night. I'm afraid you'll never come back to my side. After our baby left me, I was afraid that you would also leave me, Mas.” Early tears returned.

“I'm sorry, Honey. I'm sorry..” Arfian's lips continue to recite an apology. The return of Keisha's face present in his mind made Arfian feel even more guilty.

Arfian continued to accompany Early from morning until now, during the day at lunch time. A nurse walks into Early's treatment room while pushing a wheel filled with food for the patient. The nurse prepares lunch for Early on the table next to the patient's bed.

Arfian painstakingly fed Early lunch until it ran out.

“You're not at the office, Mas?” Ask Early after finishing her lunch.

“Iya there is actually some work that I have to finish in the office. But I'm afraid you're alone here like last night.” Arfian was worried.

“I'm fine left alone. I won't get bored, I can rest while watching TV. As long as you promise to be back soon, I'm fine left alone now, Mas.”

“True you won't be anything if I stay a while..?” Tanya Arfian was still hesitating.

“Iya Mas's. You just calm down. Finish your work quickly and quickly come back here to accompany me.” Answer Early sure.

In the afternoon, Arfian returned to the hospital. Before going to Early's treatment room, Arfian was about to see the doctor who first treated Early in the ER room.

Baruntung after asking the nurse who was also there during Early treatment in the ER, the nurse named Ana was driving Arfian to see doctor Aziz, the doctor who handles Early in the ER. Sister Ana knocks Aziz's doctor's room and asks permission to enter her room

“Happy Afternoon, Doc.” Sister Ana gave her regards.

“Sore..” doctor Aziz replied briefly.

“Sorry Doc, there is a family of patients who want to see a doctor.” Connect sister Ana.

“Good afternoon, Doc.” Arfian gave his greetings while shaking the hand of doctor Aziz.

“Dok, I pamit.” Sister Ana said

“Thank you sister.” Arfian said thank you

After sister Ana leaves the room, Arfian introduces herself to doctor Aziz.

“I am Arfian, a family of a patient named Early, who doctors handle in the ER” room, Arfian said.

“There can I help you with?..” Ask doctor Aziz politely.

“If I may ask the doctor. I would like to inquire about the condition of the pregnancy of the patient while having bleeding which eventually made her miscarry. May I ask how many months she has been pregnant, Dok” Tanya Arfian carefully.

“I can't be sure how many months she was pregnant during a miscarriage because I'm not a gynecologist and can't calculate her gestational age before she has a miscarriage. The patient may also not realize that he is pregnant so less careful. But usually miscarriage cases tend to occur in the first trimester of pregnancy. I can only guess based on the condition of the patient at that time, her pregnancy may be around 8 to 10 weeks, or 2 to 3 months.

“Can she get pregnant again later, Doc.?... I'm afraid this incident caused her to have trouble getting pregnant again later in life.” Ask Arfian.

“To find out the condition of your wife even further, you should consult a gynecologist. I do’a condition your wife will be fine.” Answer doctor Aziz.

“Thank you for the information, Doc. And once again, I am very grateful that you saved my wife's life said Arfian, who during a talk with doctor Aziz referred to Early as his wife. He felt ashamed of his sin if he admitted that the miscarriage patient was not his wife but had just become his lover.

After leaving Aziz's doctor's room, Arfian walked down the hospital hallway to Early's treatment room. Arriving at the front entrance of the Early treatment room, Arfian stood silently looking at a man sitting beside the patient's bed. The man stood his back to the entrance. The Arfian position is not visible from Early's place and the fiercely argumentative man. Arfian opened the door very slowly until there was no sound of the door being opened. Then he heard Early screaming.

“Go from here, Ryan. I don't want him to see you here.” Shouts Early at the man.

Arfian stood up to hear what Early was shouting.
