61. Kindness Kevin

Kevin saw Melani.

"Dare you here?" kevin asked, without asking him to sit in front of Melani.

"Yes Kevin, I'm in college here" Melani replied nervously. He never hated Kevin. But seeing the man made him remember his mistake with Arleta.

"You pregnant?" kevin asked surprised to see Melani's stomach. Questions Melani doesn't want to hear. Melani just nodded.

"Is that Armando's son?" kevin asked suspiciously. Melani surprised.

"Where do you know?" Melani was even more nervous.

"I was just expecting it, because you went home to Armando's apartment that day. Does Armando know?" Kevin who was shocked at this moment, his guess was just right.

"No. You know Armando is engaged to Trisia." Melani replied sadly.

"But he must know, at least he must take responsibility for his actions." Kevin said firmly. Kevin doesn't believe Armando will be quiet if he finds out Melani is pregnant with her child.

"His mother didn't accept me, that's why she's engaged to Trisia." Melani said the harsh reality.

"What exactly is your relationship with Armando?" Kevin curious. Armando is not the irresponsible type of man.

"We were lovers. Until I left her." Melani was honest. Just like Kevin thought. So Armando was engaged not of his own free will.

"You love her? Don't you want to get status for your son? The baby will be born without Melani's father." Kevin doesn't understand the girl's way of thinking.

"I left before I knew I was pregnant." Melani defended herself. But even if she knew she was pregnant she doubted whether to tell Armando.

"I understand now. So she didn't know you were pregnant. I know Armando, he's not gonna shirk responsibility" Kevin said.

"He was looking for me, I was hiding from him" Melani said quickly. He doesn't want Kevin to misunderstand Armando. So I did, thought Kevin. She can make sure Armando loves Melani if she looks for Melani without knowing she is pregnant. Her engagement to Trisia was just pretend. It must be Mauren. "So you went to college here?" kevin asked, breaking the silence.

"I avoided my father." Melani explained. Kevin doesn't know if Melani went home to his family. Melani tells Kevin who she is.

"You're crazy Melani. You can't keep it hidden." Kevin's reaction when he heard Melani's confession.

"I know I am gathering my courage right now." Melani. Kevin was silent again. He felt sorry for the girl.

"Melani, do you want me to be your baby's father?" melani's heart almost stopped hearing Kevin's question.

"You mean?" Melani does not believe.

"I will marry you until this baby is born. After that we will get divorced. You certainly don't want to be tied to me for the rest of your life." Kevin explained. Melani looked at Kevin, wanting to know the man's sincerity. He also thought of Kevin. Dad for the baby. That way the baby will have a father.

"You really mean it?" ask Melani doubtfully.

"Yes I'm serious. I'll go home to get everything you need ready if you agree. Look, once we get married you can continue to go to college here and I'll go back to Jakarta. I'm just offering you status. I can't give you love and affection, you know why. Only until your baby is born." Kevin made his point. Melani knows this is just Kevin's kindness to her. "Alright I agree." Melani replied in the end.

"You sure?" ask Kevin.

"I'm sure." Melani replied steadily.

"I'll go home and prepare all. I'll be back next week. Take care of your health." Kevin said before it passed. Melani also has to talk to Avery.

"You're getting crazy, Melani." That's Avery's reaction to Melani and Kevin's plan. Avery came looking for Melani. But her sister was determined to give a father for her baby.
