"Dea..."
A familiar voice in the ear made Dea who was sitting in front of the mirror gasp in surprise. The phone in his hand fell to the floor.
He saw a Mandala who was well dressed and looked handsome. Really, his left hand that was cut off by my side on the operating table a few months ago did not seem to diminish all the charm in Dea's eyes.
"Why you?" ask Mandala while closing the door. He also walked closer.
What did Amadea do? Of course he immediately lowered his head and took the phone off the floor. It is even as fast as lightning pressing the power button for the screen to turn off.
Don't let Mandala see a conversation balloon between him and Meirika on the phone screen. Don't make.
The mind of Amadea who had been worried and confused half died with all the guesses from the voice note code sent Meirika so it felt increasingly dizzy seven circumference.
If the lipstick that adorns his thin lips is not perfectly arranged, surely his pale lips are already visible. He was helped with all this makeup so that Mandala was not too aware of the changes in her facial water.
"The dea? Everything okay?" tanya Mandala who is now a step away in front of Dea.
Amadea nodded quickly. His hands cleverly hid his cell phone into his lap.
But as Dea tries to hide the evidence, Mandala's sensibility can't beat the trick. Evidently, now Mandala was staring intently at Amadea's lap.
"The dea? What's wrong with your phone? Your mother called you again? He said something that hurt your heart again?" mandala asked suspiciously.
Amadea felt her breathing become irregular because her heartbeat was racing with her lungs. It doesn't feel good. But she felt grateful that Mandala thought she was panicking because of her mother, not because of Meirika. Yes considering yesterday Mandala had warned him to report that Meirika contacted him and did something.
"No-no, Mom. No papa. I'm just saying congratulations on our marriage and saying once again that she really can't attend" Dea told a lie.
Ah, boro-boro her mother congratulated. Riris Sayuti doesn't even care. She was busy with her new husband and two-faced stepson.
"Oh, okay. Patience, yes. I know you must be sad. The procession will begin soon. I'm a little tense as well because I have to sign the wedding documents." Mandala slightly smiled smirkingly while looking towards her left hand. The problem looks a bit strange indeed if he is not clever to cover his shortcomings.
Amadea was sad. Yes, he can remember the last few times Mandala really hard to use his right hand because he was not used to it. Yes, although not revealed in front of him, but Dea clearly knows how Mandala has trouble opening the car door, installing a seat belt, taking a glass to drink it herself, even just buttoning a shirt.
These ordinary things were trivial things that he could do easily before. But now, that includes hard. Especially about the signature...
Silent.
Amadea couldn't bear to chimed in. He knew the Mandala figure was a figure who hated being pitied. So it is useless to encourage him or say cliche things that calm the heart. It would all be ridiculous for him.
"Dea, I can't sleep all night. I walked out in the middle of the night and saw your door closed. Then I want from the balcony and your room light is off. I thought you couldn't sleep either so we could meet and chat. I don't know why I've been sleeping a lot lately to see you. Even if I don't talk, but I just want to see you."
The deg!
Silent again. Amadea really felt her tongue.
Mandala smiled thinly. Ah, so sweet.
Dea, who had lowered her head, looked up at Mandala.
What is this feeling? It's a kind of relief but it's a little strange.
"Oh, Mas Mandala was nervous as well last night. I'm not the one who can't sleep. It means that he considers this marriage important. It's not just a transactional wedding. Marriage contract. You misunderstood Amadea. You're too prejudiced. But about Meirika...
Aghhh! Is she really pregnant with Mas Mandala's child? Why the hell would I know that in an inappropriate atmosphere? But he didn't say it directly. It could be just the trick, right? Mas Mandala has also said that Meirika is sneaky?
Ah, but what if it turns out to be real? Am I evil for having continued this charade marriage while I know a woman out there is pregnant with my future husband's child? But I've been paid too. And I need the money...
I said no to this?"
Amadea's humble voice gave her a headache.
"Tok tok...!"
Suddenly in this silence came the sound of knocking on the door.
"Pak Mandala, Miss Dea, everything is ready. Five minutes to start." Karen's voice rang out behind the slightly opened door.
Mandala looked at Amadea who was also looking at her and smiling.
"Leave that phone here, Dea. Forget your thoughts about your mother first. This is our moment. Let's go." And Mandala stretched out her right hand with a raised smile.
With the head still in disarray because of her conjecture about Meirika's pregnancy, Amadea tried to keep smiling and standing. He received Mandala's hand.
Mandala now stands on equal footing with him. The man looked very paddled as if this was his real wedding. How does Amadea's heart not shake?
As she walked one step toward the door, Mandala's eyes fell on Amadea's shoes and whispered.
"Why not wear your father's favorite shoes?" The sound of a Mandala close to Dea's ear made the girl's heart rippling.
Within seconds Amadea's eyes glazed over. Really, those shoes he left in his room this morning. She did not want to ruin the perfection of this fancy dress and makeup with those cheap shoes. But can a Mandala remember those sneakers and don't mind if she wears them at this crucial moment?
Clearly, this stifling novelty of Dea's chaotic heart gave rise to an unstoppable cry.
Mandala stopped her steps because she was confused her bride cried violently five minutes before the wedding began.
"Dea, what's wrong with you?" ask her in a soft voice.
Dea was crying hard.
