Nenden did not have time to answer, they were surprised by the noise of the medical team. Sontak Nenden turned her head to the action room where her husband was. He quickly rushed there as soon as he knew, the team was busy coming to the room. Closing her mouth with her hands, her eyes continued to look at the doctor who was trying to save her husband's life.

The eyes of the Goddess widened when she found out that the person who was lying in the blankar and in the middle of handling some medical personnel was her beloved father. He almost burst into the room if Roxas hadn't held him back.

A doctor rises above the blankar then performs Pulmonary Heart Resuscitation (CPR) or commonly known as CPR. The doctor was seen several times pumping Herman's heart that stopped beating. A nurse approached and attached a heart shock device. Herman's body jumped up as soon as he got an electric shock.

The man's heartbeat hasn't returned. The doctor ordered to inject epinephrine, then the doctor went back up to give CPR. Before long the heart shock device is again given, but the monitor still shows a straight line. After three attempts, the doctor stopped performing CPR.

“Time of death, at 22.26 minutes,” said the doctor.

“FATHER!!!” the goddess shouted hysterically as she looked at the monitor screen still showing a straight line, and heard the doctor's speech.

The goddess immediately detached herself from Roxas then poured into the action room. Hugged the father's body stiffened above the blankar. Meanwhile, Nenden's body almost fell if Roxas did not catch him immediately. While guiding the mother of her best friend, she walked towards the action room.

“Sorry mom, we can't save your life. I lost a lot of blood and his condition was already critical when I got here.”

Nenden's tears are getting louder and louder to hear it. With a step she approached her husband's body. There were no words coming out of his mouth other than sobs. Roxas couldn't help but cry. Herman was like his own father. He can get the figure of a father from Herman.

The atmosphere of the funeral took place accompanied by the sobs of Dewi and Nenden. All the residents of the Soleh haj tenement house, including the family of the angkot photographer, helped usher in the departure of a man who was notoriously friendly and humorous. Not only them, all Herman colleagues were also present there.

Friends of the Goddess and also some teachers also came to pay their last respects to Herman. Adrian as the guardian of the class Dewi also came. The man only looked at the Goddess who kept crying in his mother's arms.

After Herman's body was put into a pit, the gravediggers began to hoard the 1x2 hole. The Goddess's cry grew louder as her father's body wrapped in a shroud began to be covered by the red earth.

Haji Soleh who took care of Herman's funeral paid his last respects by leading a prayer for the deceased. The goddess immediately rushed to the father's tomb. Hugged a headstone that read the name of the man who had always been an idol for him. The tears kept falling.

“Bapak... why stay with Dewi. Goddess still needs gaffer.”

Almost all of Dewi's classmates shed tears hearing the girl's cries and sedu sedan. Nenden was not able to relieve the sadness of the child. He himself was still quite surprised by the reality that happened. Just yesterday he was still walking together to deliver food for his son to school. She could still hear the voice of her husband a few hours before his death.

One by one the men who had taken Herman to his last bed left the burial area. Friends of the Goddess also began to leave the public nutrition. The Goddess is still in the same position. I want Adrian to come closer and bring the girl into his arms. But the man could only be silent fixated on seeing the Goddess's sorrow.

“Dewi.. is dear. Pity your father if you keep crying like this. Pray for your father to get the best place by Allah.”

Ratna, the wife of Haji Soleh tried to calm the Goddess who was still crying. Nenden wiped his tears and approached his son.

“Come on, we go home.”

“Ngga.. The goddess is here. Poor father alone. Mr...”

“Do not do so, Wi. You are calm there. Let's go home, son. Don't burden your father with your cries.”

Nenden continued to persuade his son, until finally the Goddess stood up and was willing to go home. Haji Soleh, Ratna, Adrian, Roxas, Micky, Hardi and some close neighbors who were still there immediately followed the steps of Nenden and Dewi who left. The Goddess turned her head to come. It was hard to leave my beloved father lying there alone.

Adrian, Roxas, Micky and Hardi did not go home immediately, they chose to stop at the house of the Goddess first. They also want to help Nenden to prepare for the event that will be held tonight.

Nenden's return was greeted by police officers who had just delivered the cargo driven by Herman. The green colored cargo was indeed taken first to the police station to complete BAP.

“Good morning bu Nenden.”

“We mourn the death of Mr. Herman. Our arrival in addition to delivering the cargo driven by Mr. Herman, we also want to inform that the perpetrator of the stabbing Mr. Herman has been successfully arrested and is now in the process of checking.”

“Thank God, sir. I hope they are given the punishment of worth.”

“We will do our best. Oh yes, we found this in car.”

Police officers gave her a white packet of cookies that Herman had bought before the stabbing. After that, the police officer left Nenden's residence.

Knowing what was in the package, there was no intention of the woman to check the contents. He gave it to the child. The goddess opened the white plastic. His chest felt squeezed as soon as he saw the cake box with the name of the famous store on it. The girl recalled asking her father to buy her a cake at the store.

With trembling hands, the Goddess opened the lid of the cake. His eyes stared at the nilar black forest with decorations and writing on it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SON, GODDESS MANTILI. The crying that had died down was heard again. His tears fell again, blocking the view of his eyes that still continue to look at the last cake the father bought for him.

“Mr... sire... PATERAAAK!!!”

As usual, after the last lesson was over, Adrian gave a lesson after giving his students a fifteen-minute break. The man shared about the exercises he had arranged. After yesterday discussing the subject matter, today he intends to test whether his students have really understood the material presented yesterday.

After sharing the training, the man returned to his desk. Adrian's eyes stared at the empty Goddess's table. It has been five days since the departure of her beloved father. Roxas, Micky and Hardi had come to the girl to persuade her to go to school, but Dewi still had no desire to go back to school.

An hour passed, all those who had followed the additional lessons had completed the exercises. Alternately they handed the question sheet to Adrian. The man allowed everyone to go home. Only Roxas was asked to stay in class.

“Goddess, still don't want to go to school?” ask Adrian.

“Iya, sir. Every time I go and go to school, I stop by his house. But the Goddess is not yet going to school. Mother said the Goddess rarely went out of the house. She keeps clinging to herself in the room.”

Adrian heard it. It seemed like Herman's departure had dealt a deep blow to the Goddess. If the Goddess did not immediately return to school, then she would have missed a lot of lessons. The final exam is approaching.

“What if you persuade. Who knows if the Goddess wants to hear that the father is talking. She didn't say the same thing to me or mom.”

Roxas' words awaken Adrian from his daydream. What his student proposes has a point. It was time for him to go to the Goddess and persuade her. The Goddess is his responsibility.

“Good. Tomorrow I'll go to his house.”

“Need me to accompany sir?”

“Not necessary. Let me go there myself.”

“Hopefully you can persuade the Goddess, yes. I was sad to see the rich Goddess lose that spirit of life. And that makes it even more sad, I as his best friend can not do anything.”

“With you always being by his side, it is already a support for him. Give him a little more time to get rid of his sadness. Don't get bored to keep entertaining him.”

“That's for sure, sir.”

Adrian smiled faintly. His brain was spinning how to persuade his student to go back to school. Losing someone dear is not easy. But he was sure that the Goddess could go through it all. It's just that the girl still needs a little time.

For yesterday's request that his father Dewi be saved, sorry, this is not in accordance with your expectations. The departure of Herman will be a turning point in the life of the Goddess. And when the Goddess is in a state of decline, Adrian and Aditya enter in a different way and certainly give a different effect on the Goddess. So... Follow the flow ya😉
