“Rhea has heart failure!” one of the nurses ran over to Dean who was checking Rhea's medical records with Ms. Syahnaz and also Prof Riggle.
“The three of them ran towards Rhea's ward which was in the VIP area complete with layered escorts from the snapper-class bodyguards.
“Dik, hold! We need you.” Dean performed CPR on his sister while the Riggle Couple helped him with some medical equipment such as a Defibrillator, ECG, and some other equipment needed.
They work with each other like a group of people who are going to war. While Daffa the husband is still busy with his fugitive in the Naratama Execution Warehouse.
“Sorry Sir, Miss is having a cardiac arrest.” Whisper someone to Daffa to make the young man immediately lose control of himself.
Daffa ran like a doormat to his luxury sports car that he could only drive himself. He was racing with his heart that was not because of. Breaking the silence of uninhabited highways. Time has shown at 02.15 where everyone is still late in their respective depths.
It only took him about fifteen minutes to reach the hospital in that speed.
“How's Dean?” daffa asked in frustration as soon as he saw Dean who at the same time had walked out of the action room.
“We lost the baby.” Lirih Dean is weak.
“The condition is stable, I admit that her pregnancy also weakened her condition yesterday. Now it's better, we did lose it, but thankfully she is a strong girl.” Both breathed at the same time.
“I doubt he will remember everything so consciously.” Ogre Dean. They were sitting side by side with Daffa right now. In one of the visitor seats in front of the ICU room where Rhea was.
“What do you mean?”
“Wounds on his head. Of the many cases we have encountered, it is likely that he will experience Amnesia. This may be total amnesia or it may be partial. We can only monitor him after he regains consciousness.”
“What do you mean tell me this?”
“I just want you to be prepared with all the possibilities.” Dean left Daffa for his room.
There were still so many things he had to do to monitor his sister's development. His heart is very painful. He is a strong young man, he is also a great doctor. But who would have thought when his sister was lying on her operating table, she became very weak.
He was just trying to stand up in front of everyone. In spite of all that, he was devastated for his sister.
Cring..Cring…
A classic tone of call resonates at inopportune times. His phone rang and displayed a mysterious caller ID on his screen. ‘Black Shadow’.
“Quickly investigate further, if there is still anyone who wants my sister dead. Kill him first.” Dean says as soon as he picks up his phone.
He just picked up and turned off his call at the moment he wanted. Everything left an impression as if he was a man so feared, and untouchable.
Geck..Geck…
The door was tapped by someone at an inopportune moment.
“Who?” dean tried as quietly as possible.
“I, husband Rhea.” Answer Daffa formally.
“Log.” Dean immediately changed his facial expression as soon as he heard Daffa's voice calling out to him from behind the door.
“How can I call you ‘Bro’ when you yourself call me ‘Adik Ipar’.” Kekeh Daffa at a glance.
Daffa himself actually did not want to joke or just greet with his new brother-in-law. He had his own thoughts on Dean. Especially about the possibility that Dean is Keenan who has been anticipated by Rhea.
“I don't think it's the right time, right?” Daffa threw his butt in one of the chairs across from Dean's desk. It is like a family of patients with doctors fighting for their families.
“For?” Dean tried to take it seriously.
“Better I inquire his condition as a family of patients is not it?” Daffa chuckled forcefully and automatically removed the tense look from Dean for him.
“I don't like that opinion. I'd rather talk to you as my sister-in-law.” Dean slightly stepped towards the table that was to his left. He took two cans of instant coffee from there and gave one to Daffa.
“Thanks.” Dean nodded kindly.
“I don't think you're as detailed as it looks. Do you love my wife so much?” Dean chokes.
Dean knew where the conversation was going at the moment. This is not just a normal question between brother and sister-in-law. He knew for sure that Daffa had thought that he was Keenan.
“There is only one person who loves me so much more than his own life, and that is Keenan.” It was the only belief Rhea could never refute by anyone.
And Daffa witnessed it these few days. Dean doesn't just help Rhea show off her abilities. He helped Rhea by sacrificing his own life. Daffa could see it from the way Dean looked at his wife.
“Sorry Doctor, but Young Miss is awake.” The presence of a nurse in his room has broken the tension between the two handsome young men.
“Looks like not much appreciates you here. They didn't even knock on the door to get in.” Daffa's scorn is only countered with shoulder scribbles by Dean.
He was too used to being relaxed. According to him, the attitude of formality is only used for a neat suit who works for the government. While the mafia under the guise of a doctor never seems to need it.
They walked to the ICU to see Rhea. The nurse was right, Rhea was conscious. He was even sitting so firmly on his bed. Although with an oxygen mask that is still faithfully perched on his face.
“Kak Keenan.” He was overwhelmed with pleasure when the two young men approached him.
“Oops. You dismantled it early.” Joking Dean to Daffa while blinking one eye. He welcomed his sister's embrace and held her for quite a while. He didn't even give Daffa a chance to get close.
“You who?” after the hug came off. Rhea looked at Daffa who was pecking at the doorway.
“You don't remember me?” asked Daffa in a trembling voice.
Mrs Syahnaz and Prof Riggle immediately entered between them and broke the tension between the two.
“You guys should chat first.” Said Syahnaz who was directly embraced by Dean.
Dean took Daffa to the hospital garden to have a casual conversation and relieve his tension.
“He considered me Keenan after Keenan died. He could not accept the fact that Keenan was dead.” It was Dean who made Daffa dumbfounded.
Far from the bottom of his heart, Dean felt quite guilty. He had used his sister's Amnesia Retrogarde to control Daffa's memory. He has no choice, no one should know that he is Keenan. Not until he knows who is behind all the misfortunes experienced by his sister Rhea and Devian, too,
