Rheas

Rheas
Section 21: The Truth Slowly Revealed

Rhea was fast asleep when Daffa entered their room. It was not as usual that Rhea would wait for him to sleep. Even despite living in different rooms and houses, Rhea had still taken care of her all this time.  All the clothes he would wear, all the food he would eat, and even waiting for him to go home if he had to go to work overtime.

Rhea still remembered her status as a wife, even though she was not herself cooking for Daffa. Although he always uses the services of a laundry and cleaning officer services weekly. But he always remembered to arrange all the things about Daffa.

“Now it is different. You went through so many changes once you got into your parents' house Rhea.” Daffa threw his buttocks at the side of Rhea's bed and gently stroked her head.

“You don't want to take care of me because you feel that your rights have been taken away?” Daffa grieves.

“I owe you a lot if I don't.” Daffa covered Rhea's body up to her neck, so that she would remain warm.

“What would a wife be if her husband never appreciated her Rhea. I never hated you. Instead I did it to prove to you that you are mine and will forever remain the same.”

“Thank you for giving me your most precious possession. Sorry for ever doubting you, you know exactly. I didn't really mean to do it. I know you better than anyone. You're a good girl, and now you're my woman.”

Daffa was just about to get up from his position when Rhea suddenly held him down until the two of their neutrals clashed.

“You pretended to sleep?” Rhea nodded and grabbed Daffa's body closer and hugged him.

“Hey, you heard everything, right?” Rhea again nodded, but she did not let go of her embrace in Daffa's body.

“It's just me, nothing else.” Daffa returned Rhea's embrace and made the girl start sobbing herself there.

“I know you never meant to hurt me Rhe. I know you'll never betray me or Devian. You were my first love Rhea.” Rhea took off her embrace from Daffa and looked at her from such a close distance.

Rhea doesn't doubt it. He just wanted to dig it deeper. Digging into something he's been trying so hard to hide for years. ‘Cinta’. Whether it was love for him from Daffa, or just the opposite. Love from him to Daffa. He looked into Daffa's eyes closely and tried to find that honesty from behind his shady beads.

“Honestly, I doubted you when Devian disappeared. There are so many insoluble clues. You are the last person to be with Devian, and you forget everything after it happened.” Daffa tried to digest his own words.

“But as soon as you see your condition and one by one the evidence of Devian's crimes is revealed, ‘I Doubt’.” Daffa began to cling to his own words. Is it true if he should reveal it to Rhea at this time. The love between them was filled with doubt.

“Is this little girl trying to hold everything back? Is he really that strong to hold it? Or you even have your own reasons to survive.” Rhea was still listening.

“Steve's presence near you never even helped. Time and time again I found evidence of his betrayal and you were in it. My heart breaks to trust him Rhea. I'm sick so much to believe that you're different from what I ever thought of you.”

Daffa sobbed and Rhea now took turns to pull the young man into her arms.

“He punishes Steve.” It was clearly Rhea who instantly made Daffa look up at him.

“Who?”

“Sheryl. Someone told me. All the emails you received, I also received them.”

“Where do you know that I always get mysterious emails?” Daffa let go of his embrace and turned to stare at Rhea sharply.

“I saw it on your phone a few times while you were asleep. You're using our wedding date for the keyword combination. I got the same email but about a different person. Someone's trying to complain to us sister.”

“But who?” Rhea shakes.

“The one who sent Steve for me has revealed all of Steve's duties to you. And the one who sent your informant has sent me something.”

“Informan? How far do you know?”

“She is Keenan. Keenan Aditya, Riggle's father's son. She's always with me.” Honest Rhea.

“Keenan, is the reason my father and mother fought for me all this time. Keenan is the one who always stands behind my birth mother and Mr. Naratama. Keenan is the key to everything. But he disappeared since my mother left. From the news I heard he followed you.”

Daffa tried to digest all sorts of Rhea's explanations towards him. There were so many complicated and difficult things for him to digest. The girl kept more than she thought.

“How do you know it's Keenan?”

“Keenan is like a shadow. No one has really been able to follow him all this time. Even Riggle's father. But it holds so much of what we once knew. I'm sure Keenan is the key.”

Daffa didn't want to hear anything more. It's still so hard to digest everything right now. He asks Rhea to stop everything and hugs the girl tightly.

“I didn't know that you had to endure everything yourself. I'm sorry.”

Rhea was preparing Daffa's dressing as usual when the young man walked into the bathroom. Daffa soaked for so long in the bath to hide his pain. He cried under the water so that Rhea could not hear him.

“Keenan is Jason. Keenan that Devian has finished off. I'm sorry Rhea. You may never find your mother. Maybe he was one of those corpses.” Isak Daffa's.

****

“I want you to report everything to me Keenan.”

Keenan was making a video call with someone.

“Don't call me Keenan. ‘Jason’, looks like it's better. For a big man like me.” Jason always boasts a body that looks more like a bouncer than a nineteen-year-old teenager.

“Who is it?” Jason shows a picture of a woman with a sweet girl in his arms. The photo had always been attached inside his pendant all this time.

Weird right? A silver pendant with a photo of the girl inside. A man who looks like Jason would never do that. That's a little embarrassing. But that was proof of his love for the two women in the photo. Jason loved them so much.

“His name is Rhea, she's my aunt's daughter. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever met in my entire life. He's only eight years old."

"You know, it's possible that my father would allow me to marry her one day.” Jason clearly with his sparkling eyes.

"I'll hook it up with the camera from my necklace. I have to see Devian now." The man at the end of the phone nodded.

His phone was connected to a surveillance camera that was in his necklace wirelessly. And it is very possible for the person who is on the phone with him to observe everything from a distance.

Jason's position at that time was already inside the basement where Devian was crazy. For a great executioner like Devian, Jason was indeed the best choice for him to send alongside him.

“What are you doing Devian?” scream Jason with his camera still on.

“They are all guilty. I didn't kill them, Naratama told me to."Pekik Devian is like an orang-in-waiting.

"Aziel fucker, he asked me to do it.” Devian trembled as he showed his bloodied hands to Jason. He has displayed and preserved one by one his victims. But it was all so hard, when he had to do it for one more person.

“Aibi..” Ogre Jason glued.

“You can't do this motherfucker! You're not human! You monster!” Jason's emotions began to be provoked and almost hit Devian if the young man's hand did not first hit him with a large iron that is still in his gang.

“I just hit them, but they die.” Devian's grin began to laugh out loud as soon as he saw Jason slide into unconsciousness.

He didn't really realize it. The iron floated by itself without control. He hits Jason suddenly without being lured by anything. It was a rumah when Jason came and it was not the right thing.

Devian is completely insane. He doesn't even feel guilty at all. But as soon as a necklace slid down Jason's neck he realized something.

“I gave this to Daffa. Are you my brother Daffa, are you back? But why did you die? Did I kill you?” Devian started to get aggressive again.

Jason's necklace is a Daffa-given necklace he got from Devian. A spy necklace that Devian himself never knew.

Jason used it as a weapon in the crucial moment. Coupled with a photo of the woman inside, making it even stronger. Who would have thought if the necklace had made Devian hate her girl. The little girl he had been protecting with his own life.

“No, Naratama killed you, he asked me to execute the last victim. That's not you, brother. You're alive, I know.” Devian whinek is not good.
