Pradha has been unemployed for a week. His feet have improved too. The clock shows at 09:00 when Pradha is still curled up under the covers. Abipraya's wife had to wait another month for the next photo shoot.
Pradha was forced to get out of bed, as her phone rang. The woman grabbed a flat object lying on the nightstand, and leaned her back on the headboard.
"Mother?" Pradha narrowed her eyes to focus her gaze, then immediately shifted the green button upwards.
"Dha, how are you?" greet Laksmi from the end of the phone.
"Good, Mom. Mom, how are you?"
"Less too good, because no one realizes, today what day."
"Oh, a lot of people forget the day it turns out. Same dong kayak me," kekeh Pradha.
"Wait!" Pradha stopped her laughter.
A second later he remembered something. The beautiful woman glanced at the calendar that was on the nightstand, then grabbed it. Today is March 15th, her mother's birthday.
"Geez!" exclaim Pradha patting the forehead.
"Bu, sorry ... Pradha forgot that it's your birthday!"
"Basic!" I heard heavy breathing from the end of the phone.
"Can I meet? There's something I want to talk about."
"Can you meet me where, Mom?" After finding out where the mother asked to meet, Pradha immediately got up from the bed and prepared.
Thirty minutes later, Pradha was already on the streets of Gatsu. The scorching sun made Pradha's eyes slightly glare. He repeatedly grumbled because of the traffic jam.
"Oh, why is the vehicle in front running like a snail!"
Pradha again glanced at the clock that was coiled around her wrist. I don't know how many times he's done the same. The woman was stuck on the street for nearly an hour. After successfully passing through traffic jams, he finally arrived at a typical Balinese souvenir shop.
"Finally there!" pradha exclaims while removing the seat belt, then stretching his muscles that feel stiff.
Pradha stepped out of the car and walked over a footpath made of gravel. His smile broke because he imagined he would meet his mother again. As per Balinese custom, in fact he was forbidden to visit his parents after marriage because of experiencing the thing called down caste.
However, Pradha ignored the custom this time. On her mother's birthday, she wanted to make her most beloved woman happy. Pradha pushed the glass door in front of her, then stepped lightly towards the corner of the shop.
"Mother!" call Pradha then splash into the arms of the mother.
Both miss each other. Laksmi gently rubbed the princess' back and released her embrace after feeling satisfied approaching Pradha. Pradha immediately pulled the wooden chair in front of him until there was a sound of friction from the wood and ceramic floor.
"Where, Mom? Where are you going today? Let Pradha take you anywhere you want to go!"
"No, Dha. Mom's not going anywhere. I just want to see you."
Pradha frowned. He looked at his mother full of questions. Grasping Laksmi fingers lovingly.
"Mom, why? Looks like there's something mom is craving?"
Laksmi started to tear up. Pradha again got out of her chair, hugged her mother, and tried to calm her down. Hearing Laksmi's cry feels like being slashed. Much more painful than a real incision.
"Mom, why? Dong's story, same Pradha." Pradha let go of her embrace and sat down in front of her mother.
"Your father's attitude has changed since your marriage."
Pradha scrunched her forehead. He stood back up and pulled the wooden chair he had been sitting on so he could get closer to his mother. After getting her comfortable position to hear the mother's complaint, Pradha again grasped the woman's fingers.
"Your father is acting so cold. He never talked to Mom again. Suppose coming home from the hotel, he would immediately take a shower and stay in the room." Laksmi's tears are back.
"Di-he never greeted me again, Dha!" Laksmi's cry broke for the second time.
His shoulders trembled violently as it endured a great deal of sadness. As if the shoulder is no longer strong to withstand the burden of sadness. Pradha's heart feels like it's squeezed. It hurts to see my mother cry like that.
"Mom doesn't know either. How could your father change so quickly."
"Sorry, Mom. Pradha can't help anything. But, if you need a place to pour out your heart, I'll be ready whenever it is." Pradja rubbed the rest of the mother's cries with her thumb.
After a little more calm, Laksmi asked back about the news of the princess. He also did not forget to ask Abi. Pradha looks uninspired when telling her home life with Abi.
As a fellow woman, she understood very well the feelings of Pradha at this time. Laksmi tucked Pradha's hair child behind her ear, then smiled gently.
"Dha, I know it's heavy. Mother used to experience it too."
"really?"
"Yes, I was also betrothed to your father. However, as time went on love began to grow between us."
"But .. Our current position is not the same, ma'am." Pradha bowed lethargic with her busy fingers twisting the ends of the skirt.
"What do you mean, Dha?" Laksmi fused her eyebrows together because she heard the princess's words.
Pradha took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. His eyes emitted a very deep sadness, and it was caught by Laksmi.
"Are you unhappy with this marriage?"
Pradha. He could only stare at the end of the shoe that wrapped his feet. It was as if there was a large stone blocking his throat at this moment.
"Dha, I'm sorry I asked the wrong question. I know it must be hard to unite two hearts that have never been adrift at all. But, it's definitely later ...."
"Never, Mom. Our hearts will never be cut off!" cut Pradha.
"Why?" Laksmi tilted her head and frowned.
"Abi turned out ...." Pradha took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly.
"Abi turned out to be Brother Rama's sister." Pradha's shoulders slumped instantly.
Laksmi was widened after knowing that fact. He knows very well how Pradha loves Rama, and almost goes crazy when the man suddenly leaves.
"When I almost forgot about it, Brother Rama came back and is now so close to me! I hate this fate, Mom!" Now it was Pradha's turn to cry.
Laksmi immediately grabbed the body of her beloved daughter. He tried to calm Pradha down. After Pradha calmed down a bit, Laksmi tried to advise the princess not to get carried away with her old feelings.
"Dha, after all you're married now. As much as possible avoid meeting with Rama."
"It seems too late, Mom. The taste returned to the surface. I feel calm and comfortable when I'm next to Rama."
"Dha, listen to me carefully." Laksmi held onto her upper arm and stared at her intensely.
"Remember how he just dumped you! He disappeared for so many years, and is now back again without the slightest guilt!" Laksmi's anger begins to overflow as she recalls how Pradha went through a difficult time because of Rama.
"But, Mum. Brother Rama is leaving because of father! Father secretly went to see him and forbade him to see me again!"
"Are you sure you'll still love that guy with that weak fighting power?" Laksmi smiled obliquely upon hearing Rama's ridiculous reason for leaving Pradha.
"Dha, if you were together again and one day your relationship was hit by a storm again, he would do the same! Forget her, and start a new life with Abi!"
