Chapter 40. Difficult Times

"Mama! Mama!"

Pradha who panicked continued to sharpen her hearing. He walked towards the balcony of the room. After coming out of the balcony, the sound of Nakastra's crying became clearer. However, his son was not seen on the balcony.

"She! Nakash!" pradha shouted in panic.

"Mama!"

Pradha swerved for a moment because he thought the source of the sound was coming from below. He stepped quickly to the edge of the guardrail. The woman looked down.

"She!" pradha cried hysterically when he saw Nakastra was lying on his side, and his head was thick with bushes.

Pradha immediately stepped out of the room, and climbed the stairs one by one. He opens the door and immediately runs into the back garden where Naka falls from the balcony of the room.

"Good, Naka! Why did you fall!" Pradha's tears welled up while lifting up Nakastra's body.

"Sorry Mama, Son. Mama's been neglecting to take care of you!" serang Pradha while smearing both cheeks round Nakastra.

From the pocket of the pants, still heard the voice of Reya who called the name of the friend. Pradha no longer paid attention to her phone. He immediately ran out of the house to seek help.

After walking out of the alley, Pradha immediately found a taxi. He immediately took his son to the hospital. Her heart was so troubled to see Naka who continued to cry, but Pradha did not see any blood coming out of the little baby's body.

On the other hand, Reya was forced to turn off the phone. He was worried because he heard the cry of Naka and Pradha mixed. Seeing his wife look so worried, Ken approached her.

"Darling, what's wrong with you?" ask Ken to panic.

"It looks like something bad happened to my best friend, dear."

"Pradha?" guess Ken.

Reya nodded quickly. Although he had never met, Ken knew his wife's best friend. He knows a lot about Pradha from his wife.

Almost every time Reya told me all about Pradha. Each of them has free time, surely Reya will tell his togetherness with his friend. It was there that Ken got to know Pradha.

"Let's call her later, so you don't worry."

"Good, sweetie." Reya and Ken embrace.

"Naka had a broken bone in his arm, ma'am. His head was safe because there was no impact. Fortunately, there are bushes that hold their heads when they fall" explained the doctor who handles Nakastra.

"We need your consent to perform the operation."

"Do whatever it takes to cure Naka, Doc!"

"Alright, we'll excuse you for the operation preparation."

The doctor with the full PPE left Pradha. Shortly thereafter, Rama approached his wife. Pradha soon burst into Rama's arms, and her cries broke instantly.

"What did the doctor say?" rama asked as he rubbed Pradha's back.

"Na-Naka ha-should be operated on, brother." Pradha answered Rama with a stammering voice due to sobs.

"No, not pa-pa. Naka will be fine. The doctor will do his best." Rama continued to try to calm his wife.

From the direction of the ER, Naka lay quietly on top of the gurney. Several medical teams pushed him and took the boy to the operating room. Pradha and Rama quickly followed them all.

Two hours later, Pradha was allowed into the recovery room to accompany Naka. The woman held back the tears from dripping. Seeing her little baby lying weakly finished the operation made Pradha's heart seem squeezed.

Guilt filled Pradha's heart at this moment. He felt he was negligent in looking after the son. His chest was so tight if he remembered the incident that befell the son.

"I'm sorry Mama, son." Pradha grasped the fingers of the son while gently rubbing the back of his hand.

Naka looks a little moved. Pradha immediately brought the face closer to the face of the son. He kissed the top of Naka's head who continued to rummage calling his name in a semi-conscious state.

After Naka's consciousness recovered, he was transferred to the treatment room. Rama walked towards the administration room to inquire about the operating and maintenance costs of Nakastra.

"It's 25 million in total, sir."

Rama's stunned. Maybe that money used to feel a little bit. However, the economic situation is different now. That much money is very difficult to get by Rama in the near future.

Rama stepped on the sidewalk, then sat on a chair in the room. He pulled out his phone and checked his account balance through a mobile banking app.

"Gosh, where did I get the flaws?" Rama rubs his face rough when he finds out that he only has 5 million savings.

Many days Rama tried to sell his motorbike, but there was no buyer who matched the price he offered. Finally Rama decides to ensure the tenant of Pradha's house. He pressed the bell button when he got in front of Pradha's house.

"Sir Rama? Come on, please come in!" bring a young man named Rico.

Rama follows Rico and sits on the living room couch after being invited. He repeatedly gulped to reveal his intentions to Rico.

"Look, Co. Nakastra was hospitalized for a broken bone. Soon your contract for this house will be over." Rama took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"Can you give me the next contract money now? I need for Nakastra's operating expenses."

"Can't!" sahut young blonde.

"Darling!" rico exclaims to Loretta, the lover.

"Where is there such a thing? The lease is one week away! I don't want to make any money faster!"

"Darling, don't be. Just one week's distance is the same?" Rico tried to persuade the lover.

Loretta squinted at Rico. An idea also appeared in his cunning brain. He smiled back, then turned his eyes to Rama.

"Give us a 30 percent discount if you want early payment!"

"Darling, you're outrageous!" Sontak Rico got up from the chair and pulled roughly Loretta's arm.

"Deliver! I just wanted to tell him how to do business!" loretta exclaimed while staring at Rama's sinister.

"That's enough!" rama shouted because he had run out of patience.

The handsome man got up from the sofa and folded his arms in front of his chest. He stared at Loretta. Rama also carved out a slanted smile to mock the young woman in front of him.

"All right then. Please start packing! I'll sell this house, if you don't intend to rent it."

"Can't do it dong! We still want to rent this house!" loretta protest.

"Ah, yes. About business, I remembered something. You'll be charged with repairing some of the chaotic home conditions that you've been doing for the past year!" exclaim Rama.

"Paint the wall that began to dull, some floors broken, and the roof of the house that collapsed. I'll count everything, and charge for repairs because as long as you guys stay don't take good care of this house." Rama smiled triumphantly.

"Can't be! That's ...." Loretta's words stopped, because Rama left without caring about the woman's ravings.

Rama immediately started the motor and turned the gas lever to return to the hospital. Throughout the journey, his mind felt so tangled. He no longer knew where to find money.

Arriving at the hospital, a sad reality must be faced by Rama again. He saw his wife crying in front of the ward. Rama approaches Pradha and hugs her loving wife.

"What's wrong with you, Dha?"
