Repairing the Past

Repairing the Past
Chapter 67

After two days, the wedding procession was finally held. Not much preparation is done.

As per Mo Yan's promise, the procession was very simple which important could take place solemnly.

Chu Yao did not mind. He actually felt Mo Yan's decision was very appropriate. It does not want to attract the attention of many people even though the actual actions they do are enough to make a stir on some sides.

"Son Hua looks so pretty." Fu Rong's chirps that saw Chu Yao were in front of the dresser in a red wedding dress.

"Sure, I'll dress her up!" Replied Sheng Xin who was already standing behind Chu Yao's body earlier.

"Then, I also want to be made up to be beautiful."

"Wait for someone to propose to you and I can make you makeup."

Fu Rong was weaving lips followed by the laughter of Sheng Xin and Chu Yao simultaneously.

"How's the atmosphere outside?" Sheng Xin asked Fu Rong, "is everything ready? Your Majesty is there?"

Fu Rong flicked his shoulders, speaking indifferently, "it seemed to be ready. It's just that his majesty seems a little preoccupied with minister Chen and general Luo."

Sheng Xin glanced at the unmoved Chu Yao then turned back to Fu Rong, "what are they doing?"

Again Fu Rong shook his head, "that's it. I only heard a glance as general Luo said about the ready calaveri."

Silence struck them. Chu Yao tightly pursed her lips. He involuntarily grabbed the edge of his wedding robe.

His premonition said that the situation was getting urgent. The war is about to happen.

Could it be that the Airland emperor had prepared for the border at this time?

If so, Mo Yan would have to join his troops immediately. If it is delayed longer, it will have an impact on the decline of the fighting spirit of the soldiers.

But..

This war, is it worth the results you want to achieve?

Should it take many new innocent victims a real peace can be achieved by both kingdoms?

Chu Yao swallowed all of her own perspective. He has no picture. Everything that is happening right now has never been through in his past life.

Ever since he decided to find out the cause of the death of the mother, all the flow of his life changed one hundred and eighty degrees from before.

A lot of things have changed.

'True father said, I will regret everything if I have known the truth behind it.' Chu Yao's inner self is grim.

On the other hand, Mo Yan who was already wearing bridal clothes, got quite a shocking news from general Luo.

The Airland Empire had set up a formation on the border with the number of temporary calaveries above ten thousand battalions of troops.

"And they seemed to be carrying quite a number of artillery that were already preparing behind the existing army of caverns." Said general Luo with a serious face.

"Did they deliberately put artillery there? Had they not fired a projectile in a long-range trajectory on the battlefield, it would have wiped out all the soldiers. Not only our soldiers, but their own soldiers will be killed unceremoniously!" Chief minister Chen is confused.

"That's one of their military strategies." Mo Yan said with his expressionless face, "the emperor of Airland seems to have no interest in the lives of his soldiers for the sake of mere victory."

"So what's our next noble plan?" Ask the minister Chen.

Mo Yan took out a piece of paper from behind his clothes, "stay carry out the initial plan. If things are urgent, move on to a backup plan."

"Send an equal number of kalaveri troops to stand in front of the battlefield. Slip a thousand artillery pieces inside the formation that I had formed on the paper. Make sure the number of infantry guarding the border gate to the capital is enough to provide defense until the war ends with an absolute victory in the hands of Alorra!" Firmly Mo Yan while giving the military strategy draft in his hand.

General Luo nodded his head and accepted the paper swiftly. Then it passed leaving the event venue in a bit of a hurry.

Mo Yan looked at the back of his loyal general with a hopeful look. With a sigh, the young man turned back to another old figure he relied on.

"Minister Chen, you should be in the palace with the prime minister. Condition the situation there well as our plan. I leave all the decisions to you two!"

"Well, I'm going to the palace now!"

Minister Chen did not delay the time. He immediately got on his horse and roared like the wind in the darkness of the night.

Mo Yan hardened his jaw. The view is far ahead. As if looking for a bright spot but a beam of light never found.

Although in the last four years he has often fought in life and death in the field of war, but this war seems to bring its own atmosphere for him.

Mo Yan no longer cared, he already had someone who was always waiting for his presence. Wishing for his safety.

And if bad possibilities occur, hopefully the woman can continue her life as usual without regret and guilt.

"The wedding procession is ready, your honor." Minister Guo said with a little subjugation.

Mo Yan nodded his head then turned his face with a faint smile at the corner of his lips as he looked at the figure of Chu Yao at the end of the corridor.

The red-hooded woman flanked by Sheng Xin and Fu Rong walked gracefully into the wedding hall.

Mo Yan reached out a hand to bring Chu Yao closer to him.

"Don't be nervous!" Whispered Mo Yan when he sensed Chu Yao's palm being so cold.

Chu Yao simply tightened her hands and followed Mo Yan's wide footsteps.

No one talks to each other. It was as if they wanted to finish the wedding procession immediately.

Chu Yao barely paid attention to the stage after stage of her sacred ritual. He only follows instructions as a formality. It was not that he did not want to get married, Chu Yao simply wanted Mo Yan to immediately fulfill his country's duties without needing to worry about him at this moment.

"With this you are both officially husband and wife!" Said the royal elder who had married them off.

Mo Yan approached and slowly flicked the wedding veil that covered the entire face of his wife.

A red tinge dyed Chu Yao's white face back then. Making Mo Yan who was usually always flat-faced, showed a wide smile until he showed a row of white teeth.

Everyone who was there was happy to see the unusual sight that the emperor was showing.

"This is the first time that your majesty has smiled so warmly." Sheng Xin muttered to Fu Rong and Fu Bai.

"With him here, we have never seen such a glorious other side. He was just cold-faced without much interaction with others."

"Only Miss Fu can melt the ice of a noble heart."

"If only his majesty could be like that continue. At least his face wouldn't make anyone else prejudiced." Fu Bai replied with a long sigh.

Fu Rong elbowed the older brother with a cynical look, "he had the aura of a leader, also a commanding authority to be guarded. Unlike you who like to show off faces asking for recognition of good looks everywhere. You red-assed donkey."

Sheng Xin inevitably chuckled at Fu Rong's sneer at Fu Bai. The poison master looked at his youngest sister with an embarrassed hue. He clenched his sister's head strong enough to make Fu Rong complain of pain.

"What are you laughing at?" Chu Yao asked Mo Yan who still could not hide his wide smile.

"Am I that ugly to the point that you can't hold your gel?!"

Mo Yan averted a reddened face, "i didn't say you're ugly."

"You're so pretty that I can't wait to eat you." Whisper Mo Yan gently in Chu Yao's ear.

Now the red tinge did not only appear on Chu Yao's cheeks, but all over the face until the neck was not spared from that color.

Only a moment was the warm atmosphere created, then in the next few minutes appeared a soldier with a breath who was hunting down from his horse.

The soldier saluted and bowed respectfully according to ethics, "your highness, emergency! Airland began the attack. Servants are asked to pick up their highness immediately!"

The mood suddenly changed. The originally relaxed one suddenly became tense and full of worry.

Everyone there looked nervous and confused.

Chu Yao stole a glance towards Mo Yan. The man looked calm yet his sharp eyes still could not lie to Chu Yao.

The woman grabbed the husband's hand and said softly, "go, I'll catch up with you after preparing some important supplies."

Mo Yan furrowed his brows. His face seemed unwilling to leave. He did not budge but his thumbs gave a delicate touch to Chu Yao's soft and radiant face.

The silvery-white girly man grabbed his wife with a complex feeling, "forgive me! I shouldn't have left you at a crucial moment like this."

"There is more to it than just a matter of marriage.., "Chu Yao replied as she rubbed Mo Yan's wide back, ".. The safety of the country should take precedence. Don't burden yourself with my current state. I never minded that."

Mo Yan clasped Chu Yao's hand and kissed her with his eyes closed, "after all this is over, we will be free. I will give you a peaceful life. Blissfully. Far from the world. I promise!"

Mo Yan cupped his wife's face and gave an******* dibibir Chu Yao who was ripe.

His feelings are very ambiguous. Years of living apart and now they have to feel the same pain of a war they did not want at all.

Mo Yan once had hope when he sat on the throne, things would become easy with just one command from him. But it turns out he was arrogant! Not everything he could handle with his power.

He's fed up!

Totally fed up with all the obstacles.

Mo Yan only wanted to live a quiet life with Chu Yao. If that hope is too much for him, how else would the heavens give his blessing so that he deserves it.
