Four years later...
The horse-footed roar that drove a chariot drove slowly through a countryside on the Alorra border.
A girl in her eighteen year olds pulled out the window curtain. His face was round with a tied hairstyle resembling a ball with a long ribbon on his right and left sides. His eyes moved from one place to another. As if looking for something. Then again close the curtain with a breath.
He shook his head at the other woman sitting opposite him in the carriage. The woman was beautiful, oval-faced with small eyebrows. A glimpse of his clothes that are quite luxurious reflects the status in his cage. A noble lady of the Kingdom of Alorra and her personal servant.
As per the servant's body language, the noble lady nodded and instructed something to her two personal bodyguards sitting side by side while holding the harness of the horse carriage. Both answered in unison. Whipping a horse and speeding without much talk.
Not long after, the carriage stopped in front of a small gate made of wood that was already quite weathered. The door was covered in a dry haystack on each side. As if deliberately arranged to hide the hugg inside.
The lady and her maid came down slowly with the help of two guards. The waiter looked confused. He occasionally threw a glance at the master and turned it to the two men who were escorting them.
One of the guards knocked. Waiting and going back to doing the same. Time and time again. There was no response from behind the gate. The bodyguard turned himself around and asked his employer, “Does the lady want me to check it in?”
“Do it!” That short answer made the bodyguard disappear quickly.
Silent.
A few minutes passed until the sound of 'Shelf!' was heard!' with a gait from behind the gate. Another bodyguard reflex guarding the lady kicked the wooden door and into the yard.
“Who are you? How dare you enter someone else's house without permission?!” Shouted a young girl dressed in green tosca while shaking her waist. He was no more than five to sixteen years old.
“Just kill that unscrupulous intruder, brother!” He added when the legacies of the bodyguard who was caught redistributed.
The white veiled woman, whom the young girl called her sister, did not make a sound. Just press back on his leg which was above the neck of the bodyguard.
Both of the guards' hands were twisted backwards. Locked by the woman's hand so that she can't move.
The noble lady held the bodyguard standing beside her. The man was about to advance in an attacking position. His motion stopped in place with the graceful motion of the master.
The noble lady lowered her posture and bent her knees slightly in courtesy to the two women in front of her.
“Please forgive our impoliteness. We tried to knock on the door but got no response. My bodyguard just did the orders from me. He's just checking things out. Please ladies be willing to forgive.”
The veiled woman did not flinch. His eyes were so sharp and so cold. His movements do not move even more pressure on the body he is studying.
“Didn't you hear the lady's apology? Release him!” Shouted the waiter who had been staring in horror at the condition of the bodyguard in pain.
“Ming Ming, impolite shout like that!” Reproach the master who is increasingly uncomfortable with the intimidating aura of the veiled woman.
Ming Ming Ming pursed his lips and lowered his face. Then apologized half-heartedly to the cold woman he was shouting at.
“Xiao Hua's.. Does your leg not hurt? Release her! Your brother doesn't want to clean up a corpse that you like to live with.” Said a young man who came out from behind a club.
The white veiled woman snorted, pulling her legs and hands from the body of the fallen man. He walked to the right side and took off the knife that stuck on the side of the pole without saying a word.
“Please forgive my two abusive sisters.” Said the young man courteously to those who were across his eyes.
The young girl standing beside the young man interrupted, “Sister Bai, they have forcibly entered! Sister Hua is just trying to keep us.”
“You are, let's apologize.” The young man's smile seemed upset. The youngest brother even threw his face away and left just like that.
The young man scratched his cheeks that did not itch then even chuckled at the behavior of his sisters. Very politely, he smiled and let his guests into their 'house.
The noble lady walked in following her servant and personal bodyguard. Then told his subordinates to wait at the door.
“What is it that makes this lady of noble status to our humble place?” Ask the young man and sit down.
The noble woman became unwell with the friendly treatment of the host. With great unpretentiousness, he introduced himself, “Young master need not be awkward. Just call me Sheng Xin. I am looking for a master to beg for help.”
The young man smelled a smile, “What kind of help does the lady need?”
“I hope young master and your brothers are willing to treat my brother's illness.”
The white veiled woman, Fu Hua, who was standing behind the young man glared sharply with both hands crossed. Making the two people sitting around the table become clumsy all of a sudden.
“Looks like miss wrong person. We do not have the medical expertise to treat sister miss.”
“No! I can't be wrong! Master is the person we have been looking for a long time. I am sure you are a healer as well as a poison master, Fu brothers.”
The look on the young man's face changed immediately. It was like giving a sudden limit. Yet Sheng Xin did not care. He further solidified his determination to bring those people back with him.
“Go from here! We will not do anything for high status people like you!” Sela's younger sister was the youngest while putting herbal tea on the table.
“Xiao Rong.”
Call the elder brother with a face that was all wrong towards Sheng Xin who was standing from his original seat.
Instead of being offended, Sheng Xin instead humbled herself by kneeling down pleading with the people in front of her.
His subordinates instantly moved forward, helping the miss rise and stand properly. But that action actually made Sheng Xin scold them.
“Don't help me! I won't stand until the young master is willing to help!”
Sheng Xin's actions had apparently triggered Fu Hua's reaction. He walked up to them and stuck a knife on the table to the surprise of the people there.
“Nona.. We'd better go back.. Those people don't seem to be the family of physician Fu. They are very rude and uneducated.” Said Ming Ming who approached the master.
“You can't say that! They are indeed the healers and poison masters we seek. Anyway I won't stand until they're willing to treat big brother.”
“But.” Ming Ming tried to persuade yet Sheng Xin was still motionless. As if convinced by his determination.
According to the information he obtained, the Fu brothers are famous for their treatment methods are quite strange. They combine medical theory and poison at the same time in the practice of medicine they do.
Many people have been helped and healed thanks to their lunge. Only, the Fu brothers had an antipathy towards noble status. Especially the officials who work in the government. They often refused to treat the diseases of the nobles who had come all the way to them.
Because of their attitude like that, they often move places to live. In general, many nobles are targeting them to be killed because of heartache for the rejection they do.
Sheng Xin wiped away a drop of water flowing down her cheeks. The weather in the summer has made him sweat more and more.
Without feeling the time passes so quickly. The sun had sunk in the western horizon and changed with the darkness of the night. Sheng Xin's focus was diminishing. His body was starting to get tired.
Within minutes, the woman was helplessly drooping on the floor. Ming Ming and his two bodyguards rushed over. There was anxiety on their faces.
“Let him up there!” Fu Hua exclaimed as one of the bodyguards carried Sheng Xin's body.
Those people looked in annoyance at Fu Hua. But the woman did not care, instead walked towards the cot that was not far from where Sheng Xin was kneeling just now.
“You better follow my sister's orders if you want your misses to be healthy as usual.” Kekeh Fu Bai, the young man who gave a quite friendly welcome to Sheng Xin and his entourage.
Sheng Xin's subordinates were initially hesitant but ended up doing as well as what Fu Hua had said. Fu Hua opened his acupuncture needle. Checking Sheng Xin's pulse then unhesitatingly stuck some acupuncture needles in the woman's body.
A few minutes later, Sheng Xin opened her eyes and was immediately assaulted by the maid.
“Ck, why should we bother to treat it?”
Fu Rong grumbled while carrying a cup of tonic. He gave it to Ming Ming with a sullen face then sat down near the table. Fu Hua was indifferent. He still acts indifferent and cleans up his acupuncture equipment without making small talk.
“This.”
“Drink that tonic! Hasn't miss been feeling dizzy and painful around the neck lately?” Fu Bai said in a confused manner Sheng Xin and her subordinates.
“Xiao Hua who noticed it. The face and the gurgle of the lady showed all the symptoms that the lady felt.” Fu Bai.
Sheng Xin smiled, “True. Some days I am not healthy. These headaches and pains caused my sleep quality to diminish. It turns out Miss Fu realized it. I thank you for being helped by miss.”
Fu Hua passed by without giving any response.
“Kak Hua is indeed cold but at the same time most concerned. Unlike big brother Bai who only knew of poisoning others.” Ejek Fu Rong to his eldest brother.
Fu Bai chuckled softly then poked Fu Rong's forehead until the girl complained of pain.
Sheng Xin smiled again and placed the empty cup in the hands of her personal servant, “Key young master and Miss Fu will I remember. However, my initial goal was not to treat the illness I was suffering from, but to beg the Fu brothers to come with me, treat brother.”
Fu Bai and Fu Rong threw one another a glance then smiled weakly.
“Miss wrongly asked this man! Miss should have persuaded sister Hua. We're here just following what he ordered.” Fu Rong clearly with a relaxed attitude.
Fu Bai laughed softly and confirmed his youngest brother's words, “Xiao Rong was right. Persuading Xiao Hua was not easy either. The mood of the girl is easy to change.”
Sheng Xin clasped the end of her clothes. Her eyebrows are slightly wrinkled but still accentuate the tenacity side that is characteristic of her, “I will try to persuade Miss Fu. Please allow me to stay here until Miss Fu agrees to help my sister.”
Fu Rong yawned and wriggled, “Terupon y'all! I won't interfere. Just prepare yourself mentally if you are dealing with Brother Hua. I'm going to sleep first!” He waved his hand from behind his back.
Sheng Xin was confused. He looked at Fu Bai with great hope. The young man got up and said, “Let's be as comfortable as miss. Hopefully the efforts of the lady are not in vain.”
Fu Bai bowed respectfully then left following his two sisters. Leaving Sheng Xin and his subordinates in that place.
A few days passed, Sheng Xin did not show any despair. He kept trying to get closer to Fu Hua. He helped Fu Hua's activities. From looking for herbs, processing them even doing other rough activities.
Although Fu Hua often did not care about her, Sheng Xin was not discouraged. He kept trying to make the woman aware of her existence.
Sometimes, he cried silently because of cold treatment and harsh words from Fu Hua. Sheng Xin was not used to it. It's just that he can't back down. He must be willing to be treated like anything in order to melt the ego that wraps the woman's heart.
Wherever Fu Hua went, there was Sheng Xin. What Fu Hua did then Sheng Xin would help him. Continuously until one day Fu Bai took Fu Hua to look for herbs on the hill. The two talked to each other even though part of the conversation remained dominated by Fu Bai. Fu Bai's unusual attitude had made Fu Hua suspicious.
Without making small talk, the quiet woman said, “If you invite me here to represent Miss Sheng, you better go there. I don't want to go just to help powerful people like them.”
Fu Bai sighed, “I don't mean to persuade you to help people you don't like.”.
“..It's just, don't you feel sorry for Miss Sheng? He has done a job he never did. He even received all your ill-treatment. Your rude remarks.”
“He did all that for his sake. The law of reciprocity exists.” Fu Hua Cuek replied while picking herbs.
Fu Bai did not like the cold answer Fu Hua gave. Her face turned sour, “Not all nobles are as you think. There are still many good ones and we just haven't met them.”
“Like a needle in a haystack.” Fu Hua replied with insinuation.
“Xiao Hua.” Fu Bai let out a long sigh, “..Four years have passed. How long are you going to live like this? There's no way you're living in the past. You are no longer Chu Yao, you are now Fu Hua!”
Fu Hua's gaze sharpened. Fu Bai felt the woman's emotions rise rapidly as he uttered Fu Hua's real name.
