Repairing the Past

Repairing the Past
Chapter 20

The night is getting late. The sleeping Chu Yao was now comfortably lying on her bed. I don't know why she always falls asleep near the bodyguard.

Sometimes it caused excessive worry to Mo Yan. If the habit of the girl applies also to others, it could be easy to use.

Mo Yan stared fixedly at the face of the woman who had just been in his carriage. The corner of his lips curved up making a thin smile that had millions of meanings.

His veined hand grabbed the sword lying on the cot. He turned around and closed the door so carefully that there was no sound of a squeak in every crack of wood.

With lightning Mo Yan dashed through the darkness of the night. He left Chu Yao at that place alone.

He jumps up and activates his predatory instincts when he realizes some black-clothed people have been moving after him.

His sight instantly sharpened. His foot tread lightly stepped from one place to another. His body spun avoiding the tip of the arrow that had suddenly shot speed towards him.

The sword sheath was thrown and nimblely repelled all the arrows that kept darting in turn.

Instantly several black-clothed assailants with masks covering the entire face charged towards Mo Yan simultaneously.

Mo Yan jumped up and made a twisting motion. His sharp sword easily tore the flesh of the humans who attacked him and made them not breathe for a moment.

"Kill him or we die here!" Say one of the attackers to some of his remaining comrades.

They launched an attack again. Mo Yan twitched to the right side when a sword almost combed his neck. The cold-faced man twisted and gave a front punch attack and rained his sword tip mercilessly at the assailants.

With a dense killing aura, he again made a round kick and made an attacker bounce with a broken collarbone.

Mo Yan's lips were tightly clenched. His sight increasingly looked like a starving wild beast. He defended against three attackers with a tanking technique.

Nimbly he made a somersault without touching the ground and slammed the sword alternately on the three attackers. Fresh blood splashed onto that handsome violent face.

The death of the three attackers made another formation scatter. They retreated and stood in a position ready to attack.

Unmindful with Mo Yan. The man survived with a hunting breath. His sword which was covered in a deep red liquid was still directed perpendicular to the front. He remained silent waiting for the impulsive moves of those who were about to kill him.

Just a few minutes later another black-clothed person appeared around them. Although the number is still inferior to the number of previous attackers, but the martial skills they have are not ignorant.

Mo Yan took a step back. His brain immediately thought realistically. Although his ability is above the attackers but he will definitely still lose. Their number exceeded the capacity of strength that Mo Yan possessed.

Inevitably he had to choose, escape or die in the fight tonight.

Before he decided to vote, people dressed in black actually advanced against the previous attackers. They kill each other and slaughter each other.

"Stop them without any leftovers!" Raung was one of the black-clothed men who was still standing his back to Mo Yan.

"The bastards are worth eliminating. How dare they attack your majesty!" Angered the other black-clothed man on Mo Yan's right side.

The battle was fierce. The sound of swords clashing together, the screams of pain to blood spurting made the situation at that time like hell.

One by one died with large tears in several vital areas leaving only a few people dressed in black there.

Those people approached the two people who were previously still standing right in front of Mo Yan. They bowed respectfully with the sword still clasped tightly. Then all those people turned towards Mo Yan. They saluted by bending one of their knees to the ground.

"Greetings to your majesty, forgive us for coming to your rescue late." Said the black-clothed man standing on his right side.

Mo Yan's sword tip no longer drew forward. Slowly the blood-soaked thing came down to touch the ground. Confusion enveloped his cold face. He did not immediately give any response. The man turned around and even walked away leaving the people who were still in the kneeling position.

"Wait for your majesty! We're coming to pick you up." That person again spoke and prevented Mo Yan's move.

"You're wrong people!" Mo Yan replied with an intimidating aura.

"No, we're not wrong people. You are the person we have been looking for all this time. You are the youngest prince of our kingdom. You are the prince of the kingdom of Alorra that we have been waiting for all this time. "

mo Yan's eyes narrowed. He flipped his body and thrust his sword towards the masked man in front of him.

"Once again you're rummaging, I'll slash your neck!"

"Your majesty, I do not mess with you." Answer the man in a firm voice. He even removed the mask and introduced himself, "the servant is Chen Fei Yi. The defense minister of Alorra kingdom and he was Luo Xu An. The first-rate war general of Alorra kingdom."

They took out the identification plaque stored inside their clothes and handed it to Mo Yan.

Mo Yan took the plaque without lowering his level of vigilance. He examined the authenticity of the object then turned on the two faces of middle-aged men in front of him.

"Wakeup! I'm not your prince. You better get out of here. " Said Mo Yan while throwing the placards right in the lap of Minister Chen.

"Your majesty, we can't get you wrong. We can prove that you are the youngest prince who went missing twenty years ago." General Luo spoke up. His confidence was clear in his eyes.

"Didn't your majesty have a jade pendant that is green in the shape of a drop of water? And it was stored in a sachet bag with gold-drenched phoniex embroidery motif?!"

Mo Yan gasped at General Luo's guess. No one in the world knows about the locket. Ever since he was found in a war zone and raised in a training camp to date it has remained a secret he never revealed. Even to the employer.

"How do you know I have that thing?" Mo Yan asked full of probing.

"Mentri Chen unintentionally saw a glorious sachet pouch fall down while buying jewelry at a crystal merchant by the side of the city's axle road." General Luo answered by throwing a glance at the Chen minister.

Minister Chen nodded his head and went back to explain, "last afternoon I went around as usual and accidentally saw his majesty take out a bag of money that coincided with the sachet's fall."

"Not your highness. After I see your sachet pouch, I immediately return to contact General Luo. We took the initiative to meet his majesty early today.unfortunately we were the first people brengs*k it. "

Mo Yan sheathed his sword and walked over to one of the corpses lying not far from him.

"That means they're the ones who've been following us since this morning. Do you know who they are?" Mo Yan muttered accompanied by a question to General Luo.

"We don't know for sure, which is clear they're the men who don't want the noble back in the empire."

Mo Yan thought for a moment in silence. He then got up and said, "even though I have the locket, it doesn't mean I'm the one you're looking for."

Minister Chen followed Mo Yan's footsteps. He flatly denied the firm man's assumption, "I can't be wrong. There is only one locket in this world. It was a token of identification and the absolute power of the successor to the kingdom of Alorra."

"If your majesty still does not believe, your majesty can order us to do anything. We are ready to give up our bodily souls for the sake of loyalty to the last successor of the Empire."

Mo Yan pressed his temple. The arrival of Minister Chen and General Luo actually made himself in a dilemma. On the one hand he was very happy to have found his true identity.

On the other hand he was also worried that this news would be the forerunner of his separation from Chu Yao. The woman still needs herself. The thorny matter that Chu Yao faced was not an ordinary matter. There was no way he could leave the woman to fight alone.

"Easy! You don't have to prove anything to me. I know you're not lying." Mo Yan's.

The two old men smiled. They exchanged looks and nodded at the same time.

"Thank you, your majesty! Is your Majesty willing to come back with us as soon as possible?" Reply to Minister Chen with a respectful attitude.

"I can't go back now." Reject Mo Yan.

"But our country needs a leader. Although our country is still stable now, there are some things that the prime minister cannot do without the approval and guidance of the legitimate successor to the kingdom." Clearly minister Chen with a little force.

Mo Yan was getting more and more in a dilemma. He gripped the sword in his hand.

"Give me some time. I will think about this carefully before making a decision. Go then! Meet me in three days." Mo Yan passed by and disappeared from the sight of the two old men.

In Lei Zuan's private house...

Chu Yao who was sound asleep suddenly woke up to the sound of footsteps. His eyes combed for the source of the sound in the still-dark room. A shadow appeared right across from her.

The shadow's stature was exactly the same as the man he knew. There is no movement. Just silently stared in front of Chu Yao.

"Mo Yan's." Chu Yao exclaimed with a wave of her hand. But the shadow still did not flinch.

Chu Yao got up and put on her shoes. He intends to approach the figure to ensure his condition.

"Mo Yan, why are you quiet?" Chu Yao asked worriedly.

The figure moved but it disappeared in an instant after leaving a written message.

'Out'

Such was the writing that Chu Yao read when it was already in sufficient illumination.

The look on the girl's face changed immediately. He only realized that the figure was not his personal bodyguard. He was very familiar with the rhythm of Mo Yan's arrangements. The man always conveys something directly.

Also, if he has an obstacle so that he can not talk face to face, the man always delivers a message through another colleague and of course the person will not leave before the message is finished he read.

That figure was not Mo Yan. Not even the fellow bodyguard. That figure must be an intruder.

But why did that figure not harm him? It was precisely leaving such a message that it caused a lot of speculation in Chu Yao's mind.

Where is Mo Yan at the moment? It was not usual for the young man to leave himself for more than an hour without the slightest escort. Is Mo Yan in danger?

Chu Yao squeezed the paper and threw it at just about anywhere. He pulled out his outer clothes and put them on while running small in the corridor.

His steps stopped when he was at a corner not far from Ye Zuan's house.

The atmosphere that night was very quiet. Chu Yao glanced around with high vigilance. His dagger was already tightly held in both of his hands. His eyes sharpened in harmony with his current instincts.

There was no movement on that empty road. Only the sound of the wind and his breath could be heard clashing against each other.

Chu Yao turned around and dodged with excellent reflexes when a hand struck her abruptly.

A black-clothed person appeared before him and tried to carry out an endless aggression on him. The shock of the attack made Chu Yao retreat a few steps until she fell against the road wall.

The punch that the assailant had launched on his back was enough to make Chu Yao spit out fresh blood. Judging from any angle, that person was not a balanced opponent for him. He was quite sorry to have missed the opportunity to practice some defensive martial methods to Mo Yan.

"What do you want?" Chu Yao asked with a gasping breath.

"You!" Reply to someone who appears suddenly from behind.

Not yet able to turn his head, Chu Yao was already inching her head above the ground. Both of his daggers fell not far from his body and caused quite a strong clanking sound among the dark night atmosphere.

He fainted instantly with a powerful enough punch on his back neck.
