Chapter 41 - Start Moving

The morning has arrived. Inside the cave, Reynald sat face to face with his three subordinates.

"I'll give you a choice. I have sworn to bring suffering to mankind. You're free to follow me or not."

The three were not surprised to hear Reynald's words. Instead the three showed a face that seemed to know that Reynald would say that.

"Mr Reynald, wherever you go, whatever decision you make, we will follow you. Even to hell," said Shina who sat down.

"Until I die, I'll follow you, if only" Everest replied.

Gardieta has not yet given an answer. Reynald and the others looked towards him.

"This body was given by you. This life was given by you. And the life that I have had, the brief happiness of my family .. Everything is given by you. I will fight the continent alone even without orders from you once" Gardieta said with a vengeful look.

The Fidel family .. I haven't asked about them yet, whether I should ask - Reynald remembered him not asking Grant. His eyes narrowed a little. "Gardieta, how's your family doing?"

Hearing the question, Gardieta's chest felt tight. He then sighed and said, "They .. when I was in prison, exiled to another kingdom. Then when I went out looking for you while looking for my family ...."

Gardieta gritted her teeth. His hands were squeezing both knees.

Reynald's answer surprised Shina and Everest. Both of them immediately came to light about how Reynald could resurrect them if they could no longer use magic.

"I knew. You must be confused. I can't use magic, but I can resurrect you. The answer is because of this." Reynald showed me his crystal ball. "This is why I can raise you up. I don't know what this thing is, what this thing can do. Therefore, we will go to the opposite continent to gather information first."

The three subordinates nodded.

All four of them were on the beach. All three of Reynald's subordinates were confused as to what way they would go to the other continent. However, Reynald had overcome that problem.

"Everest, it's time to try your skills."

Everest was confused to hear his master's words. However, he responded to his master's call.

Reynald told Everest to stand by the beach. He then told Everest to imagine an ice road that could withstand even a ship-sized rock.

Everest closed his eyes, raising both of his hands forward. He was very focused on trying to follow his master's direction.

The air around me began to feel cold. The beach sand slowly began to freeze.

Gardieta and Shina are amazed by Everest, which is able to cast magic without casting spells.

It's working?

After a while, the ice only appeared and stopped appearing just below the foot of Everest. The air around it becomes so cold that it feels like living in the polar regions.

Reynald, Gardieta, and Shina were unable to get close. If they get close, then they can die from freezing.

Reynald twisted his brain. He knew that casting magic without neatness was impossible. He then told Everest to stop.

"Who did you say failed? This method is my way of using magic. Everyone has their own way."

Everest was made a little quiet by Reynald's words. "Then ... What should I do, sir?"

"We should try another method."

This time, it was Gardieta's turn by the beach. Reynald told Gardieta because Reynald knew that Gardieta could use magic in a previous life.

Gardieta tried to do something similar to what Everest did. But ....

"Sorry, Mr .... I can't bring out the ice element .." Gardieta knelt before Reynald.

"Hm .. Not only that, you're not even capable of expelling magic energy."

Reynald's words pierced Gardieta's heart. "Sorry, Mr ...."

Three days have passed.

"I know you are great and genius .. but creating a ship .. was never imagined by me at all!" said Gardieta who was amazed by Reynald's ship.

For three days, Reynald told his three subordinates to work together to make the ship according to his design. He described the blueprints on a large flat rock that sits between the beach and the forest.

The Reynald-designed ship is made from a blend of forest wood. Reynald chose the type of wood he had read about when he found out about the Land Devil HItam. The wood he chose was not the best wood, even ordinary. However, the wood can still be used as a raw material for shipbuilding.

During those three days, Reynald built a weapon that he could use just in case. He made a spear with the same wood that he used to make ships. The tip of his spear, using a sharp stone that he first found on the island. A similar stone that killed a white tiger early in its life on the island.

He then asked Everest to drain the ice on the stone. The ice he used to sharpen and strengthen the tip of his spear. Not only making spears, Reynald also made wooden shields. The wooden shield was then covered in crocodile leather which he had killed and leather. And again, Reynald asked Everest to coat his shield with ice.

During those three days, Reynald made a wooden cube that was then coated with Everest's ice. The wooden cube was used to store the meat they hunted for three days, in order to become provisions during the trip. Ice wood cubes can also be used as a place to store fish when they fish during the trip.

After all the preparations were completed, Reynald and the others boarded the ship. The ship is driven using two main forces. The natural wind from nature and the artificial wind from Shina's magic energy.

Ship's sail lowered. The ship started to move off the island.
