I still busied myself with researching and sorting out the notes that came in during this week. Of course with the aim to ignore the eye gaze of Bayu who had just continued to look at me intensely.
I repeatedly stood in my heart. I remember my condition being pregnant at the moment. And it's not good for a pregnant person like me to hate someone too much. Fearful that the child I was carrying would actually have the nature or even habits like the person I hate.
It's just a myth or a fact. But there is a lot of real evidence I have found about it. Hating someone too much during pregnancy can actually make the baby we are carrying will have the nature of the person we hate. Wallaahu a'lam bishawab (And Allah is All-Knowing the truth or the truth).
Not long after, I could see Bayu starting to get up from his seat and walk up to me.
"How much is everything, Shof?" asked Bayu, asking him the amount he had to pay for his order earlier.
"Fries, cheesecake, and cappucino. The total is fifty thousand rupiah," I replied after checking the total bill (bill ) of the Bayu order earlier.
"Oh, okay."
Bayu then took out a piece of fifty thousand bills from his wallet and handed them to me.
"The money fits, yes. Thank you very much for the visit," I said with a thank you, the usual thing I do when a customer is done paying.
"Yes. Mmm, Shofi, I've been here since. May I meet Keinan?" ask Bayu expectantly.
I sneakily. True, however Bayu is the real father of Keinan. He has the right to meet Keinan.
"A minute" I answered.
I then looked around. I see Danu is being relaxed.
"Andu" call me.
"Yes, Boss Ma'am," replied Danu who immediately rushed up to me.
"Please call Keinan inside, yes" I asked after Danu stood by me.
"OK, Mrs Boss," Danu replied.
Danu then turned around and stepped into my room, about to call Keinan. A while later, Danu was back together with Keinan.
"Here's his little boss, Mrs Boss," Danu said.
"Thank you, Dan. We can continue your work" I said.
"Together, Boss Ma'am. I'll go straight back to work again if that's the case" Danu replied.
I nodded my head in response. Danu then turned around and left, resuming her work activities.
"Dear darling," called Bayu with a happy smile on her face.
"Sister, salim used to be the father of Bayu, son" I said to Keinan who also seemed a little surprised by Bayu's arrival.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Bayu's father," said Keinan by kissing the back of Bayu's right hand.
"Wa'alaikumsalam, dear Keinan," replied Bayu as he rubbed Keinan's head.
Bayu then crouched down and immediately hugged Keinan.
"Why how are you? My father misses Keinan" asked Bayu.
"Alhamdulillaah Kei well, Father," Keinan replied after Bayu let go of his embrace.
"What else is it? Go for a walk and play with Daddy yuk," asked Bayu.
"Sorry Dad, Kei can't. There are many tasks from the Master Teacher that Kei has to work on today," Keinan declined.
"Oh that. What about tomorrow? Or this weekend?" ask Bayu again.
"Look at it later, Dad. Hopefully we can" Keinan replied without giving a promise.
"Dad, sorry. Kei laper is great. Kei to the kitchen first want to make food with Om Yudha. Assalamu'alaikum, Father," said Keinan who immediately say goodbye to Bayu.
"Eh. I-yes. Wa'alaikumsalam, Keinan," Bayu replied in shock, not expecting that Keinan would immediately say goodbye and leave.
I'm pissed off. Why Keinan can actually quickly find an excuse and finally escape from Bayu. I'm still confused about what else to look for to avoid Bayu at this time.
But it seems like God is being kind to me. Behind Bayu again there is a pair of young men and women who are waiting in line to pay their food order bills.
"I'm sorry in advance, if you're done please give the opportunity to other customers who want to pay, yes," I asked as polite as possible.
Again Bayu immediately looked back. After seeing the pair of young men and women, Bayu then turned back to face me.
"Ah, uh, yes. Then I'll say yes, Shof. Tomorrow I come again to meet you," said Bayu, taseplosan.
I immediately rounded my eyes in surprise to hear the words of Bayu. Seeing my reaction, Bayu finally realized that he had slipped earlier.
"Eh, wrong, I-I meant to meet Keinan. Yes, to meet Keinan," said Bayu as soon as possible, rectifying his words earlier.
I did not reply to Bayu's words and just put on a flat face.
"I'll go back, yeah. Assalamu'alaikum," said Bayu.
"Wa'alaikumsalam" I replied.
Bayu then turned around and stepped away leaving my cashier's desk. I then served a pair of young men and women who wanted to pay their food order bills.

The next day, as he said yesterday, Bayu actually came again to this cafe. But this time Bayu came early, so the condition of the cafe is not so crowded visitors. Unlike yesterday which is quite crowded because it coincides with lunch hour.
And like yesterday, today Bayu also constantly staring at me. Makes me feel uncomfortable on my own.
When the atmosphere of the cafe was quite quiet, there were only a few visitors who came and were enjoying their respective orders, Bayu then woke up from his seat and walked up to me.
"Shofi, Keinan hasn't been home from school, has he?" ask Bayu, start the conversation first.
"Yet" I answered as necessary.
"Oh yes, later if Keinan has gone home from school I want to take him to the mall for a walk. Can you?" ask Bayu again.
"If your son wants to, go ahead, please" I replied.
"What if you come too? If you follow Keinan also immediately want," Bayu suggested excited.
I was a little surprised to hear that word. Basic handyman mode. Pinter really wits he made excuses so he could make sure me and Keinan go together.
'Astaghfirullah hal adzim.'
I have a privilege in my heart. Patience. I can't be emotionally disturbed. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
"sorry. But I have a responsibility here. And I can't just leave this responsibility. If indeed you want to bring Keinan to go for a walk, as long as Keinan is willing, then go ahead. I will not forbid. But if you ask me to come along with you, I'm sorry I can't" I said clearly.
Bayu looks ragged. Maybe he didn't think I would answer like that. But let it be, it's none of my business.
"Oh, fine then. I wait for Keinan to go home to school if so," Bayu said in the end.
"Please," I reply.
Bayu then turned around and stepped back to his desk with a disappointed look.
I could see Adit, Danu, and Dedi watching my conversation with Bayu from Dedi's barista table. Dislike is very visible from the look on the faces of the three employees. And I also know for sure, they're worried about me.
I then smiled at the three of them and nodded my head slowly. Tell the three of them that I'm okay. Only then did the three of them look calm again. The three of them then resumed their work activities.
