49. Almost caught

The long-awaited day had arrived, the party event that Queen had never expected now felt so pleasant, in her heart it felt like some flowers were blooming, oh she had never felt this happy! Queen looked back at herself in the mirror reflection, already looking perfect with makeup that was not too excessive. “How? I'm already pretty?” ask Queen a little laugh at Fiona who is no less awesome with the makeup of the magical Queen hand.

“You are always beautiful Queen,” Fiona replied as usual. Suddenly the look on his face looked gloomy, “Queen, do you think Sam will really pick me up here? I'm very unsure of what he said last night, is he not shy about making me a party partner.”

“Hey, why be ashamed of Fiona, you are beautiful. Sam's a good guy, if he plays you I'll scold King for Sam,” Queen's kekeh slowly. Trying to melt the atmosphere so as not to be too sad and give encouragement so that Fiona can be more confident.

Before long, the sound of knocking on the door of her room, Arabella entered with a smile on her face. “Two of my girls are already very beautiful, two cars are already below to pick you up dear,” Arabella said then walked towards Queen. “Mom is happy you and King have made up, this is what Mom hoped for from the first.”

Queen just smiled at hearing that, finally she got a little praise from Arabella who had too often protested over the Queen's attitude that always made trouble. “That's because he's not annoying Mom,” Queen replied in the end.

After a little chat they went downstairs, saying goodbye and getting into their cars. During the trip there was nothing special, they were too quiet and just small talk while throwing smiles at each other, very sweet as Queen expected. When they arrived, King first got out of the car and walked through the front of the car to open the door next to Queen. “Please,” says King.

Queen smiled again and got out of the car. “Thank you,” replied Queen later. Just as they were having fun, the four infuriating people in Queen's and King's life came over to them, Selena put on a face of disbelief and anger towards them.

“What are you doing Selena! I never said I'd be your partner today, so stop bothering Queen,” King said angrily. Sam and Fiona who saw the commotion got off the car and walked up to Queen and King, they saw King who was angry at Selena.

“You defended him? King, remember she was always rude to you, she was not a good woman,” Selena replied with a sharp look towards King. Selena clucked loudly then stomped her feet and turned around to leave the place with her two friends, now all that was left was Ace who smiled mockingly.

“Happy King, you won,” said Ace then turned around and walked after Selena who was far enough to go to the entrance of the building.

Hearing that Queen frowned, she turned to look towards King. “Win?” asked Queen confused, at once King immediately panicked, when Queen met him on the basketball court he did not have time to meet Ace and even he forgot his intention to cancel their bet, he said, he was too focused on preparing himself to perform perfectly with Queen.

“Don't listen to what she says Queen, she never liked King and just wanted to mess with your mind,” Sam said, which immediately made King feel relieved, it was like he was saved in a narrow room that would clamp him down! This afternoon too he had to meet Ace and say the cancellation of the bet, he wanted to get Queen seriously, not wanting any more bets.

“Alright, we don't have to listen to them anymore, we better go in,” said Fiona who was immediately nodded by Queen. Sam patted King on the shoulder slowly while nodding softly as if giving a code if everything would be fine.
