42. Strange Feelings
It's been an hour or so King here, he'd like to stay longer and if he could he wouldn't mind taking care of James. King had never felt the affection of a grandmother or grandfather, he only got the affection from the figure of James who never distinguished himself and Queen, he said, his affection was so sincere and made King love James completely. King already considered James a part of his own family. King's gaze was again on Queen who was beside the bed, her beautiful long hair made King seem to see a woman who was so beautiful with a sad face. “Grandpa is okay baby, aren't you going?” asked James who was still lying on the hospital bed, his body still not fully recovered.
Queen shook her head slowly, she grabbed James' hand and rubbed it gently. “How can I go and leave you Grandpa,” replied Queen softly, once again she rubbed the soft tears that were still dripping on her cheeks, it felt like she had just woken up from a nightmare, he was completely unprepared to have to part with James.
“Both of my grandchildren have grown up, you guys don't cry anymore huh, grandpa feels guilty if you see you like this.” James rubbed Ernest and Queen's head while looking at the two of them softly, what if today he was truly gone, unable to imagine the sadness of the two grandchildren who were in front of him now.
“King, let's go home,” whispered Kimberly made King's focus instantly crumble and turned to Adam who was shaking hands to go home to Axton and Arabella. Arriving also this farewell turned out, Arabella seemed to turn her eyes towards the bed.
“Queen, deliver King first until—“
“Oh no need Bella, we alone, tomorrow I will visit your Daddy again,” gently refuse Kimberly.
“Why did you avoid me?” the question asked by Queen made King immediately turn his head and look confused because Queen is not like usual who always ignore King.
“No,” replied King quickly.
Queen did not show the side of an enemy before King, she looked hesitant yet brave enough to make the conversation earlier. “Thank you for calming me down earlier and I'm sorry for rejecting you in public, but you don't have to avoid me like this, I know you're just kidding and I'm quite confused by the way you disappeared that—”
“I'm not kidding Queen,” King said in a serious tone. “But the most important thing now is that you have to keep your promise not to cry anymore, I know? You are ugly if you are crying like that,” continued King with a small laugh at the end of his speech.
Queen could not say, she immediately fell silent with the words of King who had just been honest if his declaration of love was not something that was joking. The Queen's heart suddenly skipped a beat, a feeling she had never felt before. “Queen until here, baby, we have to meet a friend who turned out to be treated here as well,” Kimberly said so gently while hugging Queen who was still silent because of her heart reaction that was not neutral again. “King, let's meet Mr. Ryder,” take Kimberly later. King nodded and began to turn his body, walking away leaving the Queen alone.
