Queen For The King's

Queen For The King's
44. For the first time

Queen had just walked out of the hall, her gaze was still focused on the script paper she had in hand, being the main cast was truly exhausting due to the so many dialogues she had to memorize. “Queen,” the call made Queen's step stop, she turned her head and saw King was leaning against the side wall of the Hall door.

“You? Since when is there?” the Queen asked in surprise, King shook his head slowly, he did not want to be stale for now, King wanted to tell Queen if Ace had any ill intentions on him. But on one side King was worried whether he should dismantle the problem of betting between himself and Ace? “Zack, what's up?” queen asked once again to make King wake up from his daydream.

“Oh, no, I just want to ask you about Grandpa James, have you gone home?” ask King who is starting to doubt if Queen will be very angry with him if he finds out about the bet.

Seeing the smile that emerged from Queen's face made King feel relieved, at least Grandpa James' problem was resolved, but now King was so difficult to be honest and said Ace was not a good man. “Um, then I go first,” King said as he cursed his fear and cowardice, he could not bear to say something that hurt Queen when she was just happy with her grandfather's recovery.

“King!” call Queen tight as King turns around to leave. “Um, I mean Zack,” continued Queen stamped. “Can we talk for a minute? It's for our family.” Yes, for the sake of the family, Queen thought reassuring herself, King can't stay away from Queen continuously like this, it feels so bland without bullies like King.

King looked at Queen not understanding, he raised his eyebrows. "For family? you mean?"

"Um-I mean I want us to stop bickering like always, our family is pretty close—"

"We never fight, you hate me Queen too much, make everything I do wrong in your eyes."

Queen took a deep breath, she had just wanted to mend their relationship but King instead lured her. "Oh come on, don't make a new fight" Queen murmured softly.

As King laughed, he shook his head. "No, sorry I was kidding. All right, where are we gonna talk? there's something I want to say too."

King was silent for a moment, then he looked at Queen. "What if in the Basketball room? no one's gonna see us there."

Arriving in the Basketball room, Queen sat in a chair beside the locker while King stood near the wooden cabinet. "I want us to stop our childish attitude, I mean you don't provoke my emotions anymore and I won't be as angry with you as possible" Queen said with a faint smile asking for approval.

King could only nod slowly, then he occasionally glanced in the other direction as if puzzled about starting a new conversation. "All right, I agree. Oh yes Queen, I hope you're not too close to the new boy, I think he has bad intentions on you."

Hearing that the Queen's forehead instantly frowned faintly, she looked at the puzzled King. "You mean Ace? he's pretty good in my opinion."

"No! never think like that Queen. This time please trust me." Just as King stopped talking and Queen I replied, there were two people in front of the basketball room, a woman and a man that Queen and King knew.

"I can't keep going Ace, I can't stand to see you approaching Queen during the hall!" as Poppy's voice protested at Ace, King glanced at Queen who looked confused and focused on the dark relationship conversation.

"Just what I said earlier, Ace is not Queen's good man, don't like him" whispered the slow King who was now sitting beside Queen with a full pleading gaze. There's a sense of guilt that continues to haunt King.

Unexpectedly Queen was like holding back a laugh looking at King's expression that looked as serious as that. "Who really likes Ace?" kekeh Queen's. King's gaze slowly changed, he immediately felt excited and the situation seemed to turn stiff as their eyes stared at each other.
