Rival of Childhood

Lindy awakens as sunlight enters from a small window.

He rubbed his eyes and after a few seconds managed to recognize his existence.

A little party last night left them exhausted and asleep in the tree house. He realized someone had covered him last night but due to exhaustion he did not recognize who was covering him. Lindy sees Farah still asleep next to her by hugging a teddy bear she's adorable and doesn't look like a seventeen-year-old.

Across the street Daniel was still asleep. His face that looked like an angel made him momentarily enjoy the sight. Lindy did not see Luki next to her. Maybe he's awake Lindy thought.

Lindy fixes Farah's blanket and tiptoes down from the cabin.

He went down the stairs. The lights are dead. The smell of wet grass greeted him. The sparrows started to fuss over for food.

Lindy enjoyed the still pure atmosphere while walking towards the bathroom. Lindy's house is very unique, the house has a small hallway in every corner of the house. Behind the house is a small hallway leading to the bathroom. While in the corner of the hallway Lindy hit something.

Dukk!!

Lindy fell down while holding her forehead in pain. Water dripped down on her hair, she looked up and found Luki staring at her half-naked and wet. His mint-smelling breath from toothpaste was blowing on his face. Lindy looked at her chest which was a field very close to her forehead. The smell of soap was smelling from his body. Lindy recognized the scent.

"My soap!" lindy exclaimed in protest to hide her clumsy taste.

"Basic stingy!" luki replied while pinching Lindy's forehead and passed away.

"Aww, sick!" Lindy groaned as she was about to counterattack from behind but Luki threw her wet towel.

The wet towel hit Lindy's face and made her even more angry. He was about to throw back but at once he recognized his favorite purple towel.

"My toweluuu!!!" Lindy shouted while chasing after him. Luki ran while laughing happily because she managed to tease him.

Daniel and Farah woke up to the commotion. They both peeked out of the window of the cottage. They saw Lindy chasing after the half-naked Luki in the grass fields.

"They're both still like they used to be" said Farah chuckling.

"Well, I forgot that Lindy was broken memory" Daniel said. Farah laughs. "You know for yourself Luki used to love flirting with Lindy"

Farah looked at Luki who was laughing loosely when she saw Lindy out of breath.

"Are you aware Luki's been looking excited these few days, not as usual. Is it because Lindy is." Farah told Daniel. They knew Luki was always busying herself in the library. No wonder he entered the top students in their school.

"Well, it's like a dog finds a cat" said Daniel watching them.

"You know Farah, I think I'm going to make Luki more excited" he continued.

Farah looked at Daniel with a questioning look.

"How is it?" ask Farah.

"You just wait. If my feelings are right this will work" Daniel smiled. Farah was curious about Daniel's words.

Luki came back after changing her clothes. Lindy House is the best modern minimalist house that has seen from small until now. With a spacious yard that is ideal for playing and relaxing.

Luki admires Lindy's father so much that she aspires to become an architect like Lindy's father.

Luki passed through the courtyard in the style of an English garden and heard the small laughter and gurgling water in the distance. This house is close to a small river, a spring from the mountain. Flamboyan Street was specially designed by his father and Lindy's father to be a villa-like housing.

Luki followed the sound of that laughter. And he saw Lindy playing in the water far away from someone. Luki was curious, she advanced further.

Daniel. Again Daniel, the big lady seducer thought Luki.

Since the first Daniel has always been liked, his idol-like face, his clever music, his gentle temperament are all very perfect in Daniel. Only one thing made Luki dislike him. Lindy Karina's. He doesn't like Daniel getting too close to Lindy.

Luki was preparing to disturb them. But someone held his hand.

"Ssttt.don't bother them" Farah came to hold him.

"Why?" asked Luki in a tense voice.

"I think Daniel likes Lindy" Farah replied. That answer made Luki almost stop breathing. Everything he had felt was right from the beginning. Daniel is the rival.

"Lindy is not Daniel's type" said Luki Ketus. She knows Daniel's favorite type of girl but now she's not sure anymore.

"Well, who knows" said Farah.

"Ah, whatever" Luki turned away. He paused for a moment, chuckled and then walked away.

"He's why?" said Farah.

Daniel looked at Lindy who was laughing while playing with water. Lindy's a different adult than she was seven years ago. Now Lindy is on the far level for small-town men on a remote island like herself and Luki.

Daniel is an adopted son. He is different from the others. As a child, she struggled to adapt to children her age until she met Lindy. Lindy was the first girl to greet him. He invites her to play and hang out with his friends. Lindy was for him the goddess of his salvation.

Daniel grabs the flamboyant petals that fall on Lindy's hair. Lindy gasped and looked at Daniel.

"I'm sorry.." Daniel said. "There are flower petals in your hair" he continued. Daniel was swept away on the pretty face in front of him. His fingers were down to tidy up Lindy's hair. Lindy gasp.

"Ah, Thanks" said Lindy shyly. Daniel approached. Daniel would grab Lindy's cheek when he felt the fountain hit his head.

It was already beginning to appear to think Daniel. As planned, it was true.

Luki likes Lindy.

Daniel turns around and finds Luki with two large water guns of his pride.

"Wooii, let's play water war!" the screams while grinning wide. Daniel scolded. Then by being forced to take the water gun that Luki thrust.

"Want to bet?" ask him to Luki.

"Okay, what do you want to bet on?" luki's reply accepted Daniel's challenge.

"Lindy" Daniel replied. Luki stood up to hear that answer.

"Whoever wins gets to be alone with Lindy all day" Daniel continued.

Lindy who had been silent to see herself in making a bet finally opened her voice.

"Wait on!! Who says I want to be made a bet, you guys are as good as.mmphhh" Lindy has not finished her sentence when a hand silences her mouth.

"All right! The deal! I'm on a team with this chatty chick!" luki exclaimed while silencing Lindy's mouth.

"Mmmmphh.mmmpphh" Lindy called for a protest but was uninspired by Luki who dragged her along with him.

Luki finally released her hand from Lindy's mouth after a short distance. Luki directly reached into her backpack.

"If you want to fight don't bring me dong!" lindy's Oceh, who is not Luki's. He threw a water gun at her. Lindy staggered back.

"Seriously, should I play these kids games with you?" Lindy was confused by the big water gun. The gun contained a bright green ink.

"Don't be fussy, it's a matter of self-esteem. There is no way I missed this challenge" said Luki while checking her gun by pressing a little ink.

"Come down! suddenly shouted. Lindy spontaneously lowered her head and hid in a boulder close to Luki.

Lindy's heart was racing again. Either because of being close to Luki or because her adrenaline is increased because of this thrilling game.

While Luki was busy with her defense. Lindy realizes she is in a rubber forest close to a small river near her home.

Lindy remembered this place. This is where he and Luki are looking for beetles. He remembered this place was also a place to look for fireflies at night with Luki.

"Wait, I remember tem..."

"Shhhh..." Luki's cutting. There was a rustling sound in front of them. Luki instantly pulled Lindy's hand and ran over.

They ran as far as possible. Then we got to the high rocks. Luki pulled him into a small crack. A field of grass with huge flamboyant trees. The place was very beautiful, it was similar to a fairyland in a child's fairy tale book.

"The Fairy Nest" Lindy said slowly. Luki jerks.

"Do you remember this place?" luki was shocked. She knows Lindy lost her childhood memories. Luki hears from Daniel's father while talking on the phone with Lindy's father. Only he and Lindy know about this place. Lindy named this place 'The Fairy Nest'

"I remember, we chased fireflies all the way to this place" Lindy replied as she watched the place.

Luki hugged him suddenly, her water gun dropped.

"I'm glad you remember" Luki said.

"Me too" replied Lindy smiling.

"Wait here, I'll win this war and we'll go on a date!" said Luki went to get her water gun and leaned on her shoulder.

"Whata!?" lindy was confused.

Luki waved her hand as she ran away leaving the confused Lindy.

A date??
