Luki Alfin Candra looked at the girl running away hastily to the old gate while wailing in search of the rusty door handle.
This road has been closed for a long time and no residents here use this road again many years ago. Only a few people know this path because the land along the flamboyant is owned by his father.
"Luki! What up. Come quickly the festival is almost started tuh." exclaimed his friend calling from a distance.
"Yes, wait for me". Luki briefly heard the girl swearing when the door would not open. Luki laughed softly as she turned around following her friend.
Today there is a lantern festival on the beach. All the townspeople and even tourists joined the festival. Even a large banner about the festival today was installed in the harbor. I don't know why the woman didn't see him.
Luki had previously seen a girl who looks striking and is not at all visible to residents here. His body was slender with a height and his skin was pale white. Her long black hair was decorated with a beret hat. Her fashionable clothes are similar to Korean girl bands. Her high heels that match her appearance make her look like a lost teen magazine model.
Luki was not sure of the woman's age because from afar her face was not so clear. It's just that he seems a little older than her. The model girl frowned while pacing back and forth holding a pink book and a small push-pouch suitcase. Luki was sure that the girl had not come to watch the festival.
Luki had not expected to meet that model girl again. It was just a coincidence he thought.
"May I never see him again. "inner Luki. But he was wrong.
......................
Lindy opened the flamboyant street gate. Lindy nodded slowly. The door was heavy and rusty, partly filled with vines and bushes. I don't know why the road was given a rusty gate. When he managed to open it he was amazed by the scenery in front of him.
The small road is like a path with paving stones that have been overgrown with grass. On the roadside was a row of flamboyant trees with their red flowers that occasionally fell in the wind.
Lindy was stunned by the sight before her.
"Beautiful" murmured Lindy in admiration.
He had not expected to get this beautiful sight behind the heavy door earlier. Lindy has seen many amazing sights while living abroad with her father but this one is different.
Lindy felt a strange thump as she walked through the row of trees. What's this. At first glance he remembered a memory of my childhood. He remembered himself standing behind a flamboyant tree.
Why am I standing there. I seem to be waiting for someone. Wh who?
GRANDPA! Lindy wakes up from her daydream and sees the sole end of her shoe wedged between cobblestone streets.
"Damn. I think I picked the wrong shoes" Lindy cussed at her shoes sandwiched between stones. After successfully releasing the stone snares he walked staggeringly.
Lindy stopped to check the map once again. The goal is the house he lived in as a child. And Lindy saw the journey was still long, he let out a long sigh and went back to dragging his exhausted legs.
......................
At last. I saw a building from far away. A small mini market reads 'Adakadabra Market'. What a strange name for a mini market.
That mini market is not on my diary map. As the name suggests the building suddenly appears to save him. Ah, I don't care if my legs have started to hurt and blisters.
I went in and looked for sandals. When I was busy looking for sandals a high shrill voice surprised me.
"Yes my. You're Lindy Karina ya" said a thin woman in her thirties with shoulder-length curly hair. His face was thin with thin eyebrows curving high, his lips were red in color. It looks like a gypsy tarot reader. I think this tacky brother owns this adakadabra market.
"You're big now, beautiful again" she continued, patting me on the shoulder.
"Yes, my sister is Lindy" I replied half confused because I did not remember this astrologer-like sister at all. And he knows my full name means he was very close to me as a kid.
This brother ignored my words and clenched my fingers.
"Yes my. You forgot your sister?" I couldn't believe that I didn't remember it at all. I shook my head slowly.
"I'm Miriam Angelin's sister. That's you, your house-first brother"
His gaze that implied that he wanted to be remembered made me think hard. I've memorized hundreds of times all the people written in my diary. Home front means this sister...
"Sister Mi?" lindy replied hesitantly. That answer immediately made Sister Miriam's face smile happily. That smile made him feel relieved. Ok, the first hurdle of success. Now it's time to get out of here before this brother asks again.
"Yes, you finally want to too. I got married and moved here while opening a mini market" his shrill accent sounds funny.
"Yes, brother, uh mbak. How many flip-flops is this? ask Lindy to switch the conversation.
"That's ten thousand. Who are you here with? " Sir Mi came back with questions.
"Self brother." replied Lindy briefly. "Papa's coming home" he added, lying a little before he asked about the reason he was going alone.
Actually, his father didn't know he was gonna be here by himself. She'll know after Lindy calls her tonight when she gets to their old house.
Lindy's father instead forbade but instead told her to visit their old house many times and of course to clean up.
"alone? Gee..Don't you come here because you want to meet your little fiancee. Haha.." - sis Miriam.
What other surprises are there? lindy cried in her heart. A fiancee?
Why doesn't this diary tell me about that? Lindy panic.
"Wedding ?" ask Lindy curious.
"Well, you forget, you are Luki Alfin, I know who married you both" said Miriam, happy because she was a matchmaker for two innocent children.
Luka. Yes of course I know. The most mentioned name in my diary. Luki Alfin Candra's. Who her?
After serving the long ramblings of this one brother. I finally got out of that place. Actually I wanted to ask about my way home but he broke my intentions.
Sister Miriam waved her hand and exclaimed loudly.
"Frankly, there are only six houses. The white fenced house is your home." she smiled and waved her hand. Lindy shudder. How does he know my mind.
Lindy walked quickly away from the place.
