"How is this" said Daniel picking up the seeds of a Flamboyant tree. They both got biology class assignments. The task requires a two-person group and somehow he ended up with Daniel when previously five girls were in line to get group work with Daniel.
At that time he was about to find a friend when Daniel's hands clasped his hands and raised their hands and then announced loudly that he already had a group partner. Therefore he is also popular among girls, his soft and sweet way makes the girls at this school idolize him.
Even himself.
"Well I guess that one" Lindy replied after being satisfied with her daydream.
"Look at that big tree" Lindy pointed at the big tree far up the hill.
Daniel followed Lindy's gaze and smiled.
"It's the biggest tree here, you don't remember we both used to play there as kids"
Lindy surprised. He remembered a glimpse of his childhood shadow when he had just arrived here. He remembers himself with a boy under a large flamboyant tree.
Is he Daniel?
"We used to swing around a lot" Daniel smiled, recalling his childhood memories.
"Woven?" tanyanya.
"Yes, maybe it's still there. You wanna try it?" tanya Dan looked at her eyes gently.
"You!" lindy without hesitation. Who refused the prince's invitation.
Daniel smiled. "Let's hurry!" he stretched out his hand.
Lindy reached for Daniel's hand without hesitation. They ran towards a grass hill not far from the city. There Lindy felt a strong feeling from the tree.
"It's so big" he said in admiration.
"It's great, I think it was there when we were born" Daniel explained.
"You're right, this tree looks so old"
"Yes, for a second I think the swing was tied up"
Lindy sees Daniel looking for a way to drop a swing board tied to a tree branch with a long twig. Unlike Luki, if Luki he must have climbed the tree straight away and pulled that swing from there.
Wait why he should think about Luki instead of her being with Daniel. The most precious moment like this should not think about that nosy guy.
"OK on done!" daniel exclaimed after successfully lowering the swing board from the tree trunk.
"Wahh great!" Lindy praised. Daniel smiled happily. Lindy's chest seemed to flowery looking at that smile.
Lindy wanted to play with that swing for a little while before lesson time was over. Daniel happily pushed his swing.
Although she was currently wearing a Lindy uniform felt she was wearing a party dress with a lot of glitters and a prince in white pushed her swing.
"I think I remember playing this swing"
"Yes you must remember, I pushed you hundreds of times here since childhood" he replied.
Lindy laughs.
"And I want to keep pushing this swing until you're old" he continued.
"What do you mean?" lindy asked while screaming and laughing because Daniel was swinging so hard.
"You want to know?"
Lindy nodded.
Daniel stopped his swing. And stopped right near Lindy's back.
Daniel covered Lindy's ear with his hand and whispered. Although it was closed Lindy heard the whisper.
"That means I want to be next to you until old age"
Lindy's heart almost stopped. The soft whisper was so deep that it pierced his heart.
Lindy looked at Daniel. He could see her gaze was extremely gentle and her soft lips stuck to his lips at a glance. Unlike Luki who always kissed him full...
Lindy ripped Luki's daydream out of her mind. He had just kissed the prince of his dreams why he had to think of his nosy little friend.
"No papa, thank you"
"For what? the kiss?" cananda Daniel's.
They both laughed.
***
Lindy's on top of the fence. After Daniel's dazzling confession lulled her a little, she couldn't believe her idolized little friend had just confessed to her feelings and even kissed her. Kyaaa imagined him making his face red.
"Ouch!!" Lindy let out a small scream when her head was hit by a small object. The strawberry fruit lay beside him and a small laugh under the stairs made him turn his head down.
Luki with a basket of fruits climbed up while chuckling.
"Basic nosy, no work" said Lindy annoyed.
"Well, it's wrong who daydreams in the afternoon gini" he replied, handing over the fruit basket. "Now, my mother told me to love you"
"That's a lot" exclaimed Lindy happily.
"Where is school?" ask Luki suddenly. "Today no one bothers you, right?"
"Nobody, I've been with Daniel all day looking for tree seeds.." Lindy stopped and remembered the incident made her face hot again. "Ja.so no one dared to disturb" he continued nervously. Lindy picked up the orange and started peeling it to reduce her nervousness. He felt like he was having an affair when he was not his girlfriend at all.
"Ah dear my class is different, if we are in class" said Luki sigh.
"Emang why? Want to make nosy?" ask Lindy who shows dislike for that classy idea. He imagines Luki bothering him every day in class giving him a headache.
Luki laughs.
Then the water suddenly changed.
"I'm just jealous of Daniel"
Lindy's hand stopped peeling, she turned her head and Luki was staring at the sky. Guilt crawled over him.
"His twilight star appeared" he exclaimed, causing Lindy to spontaneously stare at the sky.
The sky was blue even though it was dark, several stars appeared in the dark blue sky.
"Wah good ya" said lindy while chewing an orange. "The blue night" he continued. Suddenly Lindy fell silent, her memory returning seven years ago.
He was ten years old then. His mother had just died and his father suddenly decided to live abroad. He ran away in a Flamboyant tree on a hill full of grass and sat on a swing crying.
Ten-year-old Luki ran up to him and sat down on the swing next to him.
"Don't cry, I'll pick you up when I'm a big boy"
"Lied" sobs Lindy.
"See it's a blue night, I promise to pick you up on a blue night. So just wait your fiancee will save you from a foreign land and marry you!" seriously shouted.
Lindy laughs.
Luki kissed him. Flamboyant flowers were scattered among them.
That was their first kiss. He remembers now. He got the answer now.
Luki looked at Lindy.
"You already remember yes" he asked softly.
"Sorry.sorry." replied Lindy feeling guilty forgetting the precious memories of the past.
Luki hugged him gently as if saying it wasn't her fault.
"Oranges smell" he chirped. Lindy pinched his back.
They laugh while hugging.
From under the tree house Daniel turned away while holding back his guitar.
