Pursuing Love in the Past

Pursuing Love in the Past
Adrian's Fretfulness

After a tired day of work, returning home is a place that some people always miss. And so is Adrian's family. Adrian's father and mother have just arrived home.

"Ah, tired" said the father as his weight landed on the sofa.

"Yes... Mother also, nih", timpal the mother while sitting next to her husband. Although he currently has 2 reliable assistants, but he still feels tired.

After a few minutes passed, the feeling of tiredness was changed to hunger. The father and mother rushed into the room, to bathe and change clothes.

While Adrian who has gone home first from his parents, has busied himself with tidying up some files that he will bring when he will meet the investors who have contacted him this afternoon. With a bit of fret Adrian wondered in his heart.

"Why did they ask for the file on the same day" he murmured as he placed the document on the table.

Geck... Geck...

"Adrians... Let's eat, son", exclaimed the mother from behind the door of Adrian's room. The mother had to call him because not usually Adrian missed his dinner until above 8 o'clock.

"Yes, bun... In a moment", said Adrian from inside his room.

"Yes, don't be long, son." The mother reminded. Then left Adrian's room.

Adrian walked to the door. Suddenly the ringtone of his cell phone filled the deserted space of his room. In a slight hurry he grabbed his phone that was on the nightstand.

"Conny", he muttered as he read the name contact that appeared on his phone screen.

The city of Paris

Alfian and Siska were traveling through the beauty of Paris. They are like newlyweds enjoying their honeymoon. But not like the usual newlyweds. Only Siska was enthusiastic on that trip, whereas Alfian remained with his flat expression. Siska repeatedly asked Alfian to smile, but it always failed until all the shots of the Siska camera were unreal. It was as if Siska was posing with a statue.

"Come, let's go home" Siska said with an annoyed clack.

"Come on", Alfian replied briefly.

All the way home Siska grumbled in her mind. All plans must end before they begin.

After 15 minutes on the way they arrived home. Siska hurried outside walking while stomping her feet, distracting her papa who was sitting enjoying a cup of coffee.

"What's wrong?" asked the papa with a serious look, but Siska was getting annoyed at the question. He walked up the stairs without saying a word.

Then his father Siska turned to look at Alfian. Without repeating his question he stared, as if his eyes were talking.

"I don't know either, sir", said Alfian as he raised his shoulder. Then stepped about to leave his father-in-law who was still sitting in his place.

His father Siska seemed to know the problems that usually occur between the two.

"Did you still not love her?" ask the in-laws who managed to stop Alfian's steps.

"Sorry, Sir. Besides that question Alfian will answer."

The father-in-law was silent for a moment. He did not want what happened in his household to happen to his daughter.

"Give him a chance to make you fall in love with him."

Alfian glanced at the in-law. "I'm sorry, sir", he said without giving a reason. He stepped foot up the stairs to the balcony in the other room.

While on the balcony, he spread his hands freely breathing the increasingly cold air. Feelings of sadness and disappointment over the decision he took seemed to bother him again. "Yunda", he muttered as he missed his figure being beside her at this moment.

"What are you doing tonight, huh?" he murmured as he thought of his mother.

"Pardon, me?." Bule next to Ayunda asked him to repeat his words, because he heard the faint speech of Ayunda.

"Oh, sorry. I just talk to myself."

Bule next to him nodded in surprise, then returned to reading the catalog in his hands.

It's bule his ears are sharp too, the inner Ayunda.

The Santoso Station office.

Most of the employees have gone home. Only leaves the night host and his crew. But Tya who is no longer a Santoso Station employee must still work overtime after receiving threats from Winda. The company will not pay compensation as an expression of gratitude and will not issue a letter of recommendation, if Tya does not do what Winda asks.

Tonight Tya was still busy teaching the enthusiastic Reina with the notes in her hands. Every now and then Tya tests her to make sure Reina really understands what she teaches.

The ringing sound of Tya's cell phone seemed to be a savior to him. He quickly shifted the green button on his phone.

Reina repeats what Tya taught, while waiting for Tya to finish talking on the phone.

"Sorry Missa" said Tya who made Winda look sharply at him. "My future husband's been waiting downstairs."

Winda. "Please come again tomorrow", said Vinda who made Tya speechless. Without rebuttal, he stepped foot leaving Winda and Reina after saying goodbye to them.

"Tomorrow to arrive early", asked Winda to Reina who was tidying up the files scattered on her desk.

"Okay, ma'am", he said politely.

The night changed so quickly. Adrian who woke up earlier than usual had to leave early to meet the investors who had been scheduled.

Tit... Tit

The sound of the car horn distracts the mother who had occupied herself in the kitchen.

"Who is it, bun?" ask the father who just came out of the room.

"Mother doesn't know either. Try the father who saw" said the mother while putting the seasoning into the pan.

Just as the father was about to step towards the door, Adrian came out from inside his room.

"Where are you going so early, son?" ask the father who stopped his steps when he heard Adrian's room door was opened.

"There was an appointment with some clients, well", he said while carrying a laptop bag in his hand.

The mother who listened to Adrian immediately turned off the stove, then walked up to Adrian.

"Everything's okay, right, son?" ask the mother who is starting to worry because Adrian does not usually meet clients this early.

"Mother not to worry", said Adrian with a smile. "Adrian go first yes, mother, father. Assalamualaikum." Adrian put his foot down after saying goodbye to his parents.

"Waalaikumsalam", reply the father and mother. The mother still stared at Adrian's departure with a little worry, because Adrian did not even have time for breakfast.

After being outside the house, Adrian stepped into a car that was parked in front of his house. Then he got into the car and greeted Conny who was patiently waiting for him.
