With Or Without Mom's Blessing

This morning Rizal and Grace just briefly stopped by his office because they wanted to take care of everything needed for their wedding. After taking the birth certificate and family card at Agatha's house, they now plan to come to Agatha's office to ask permission from Agatha as Grace's parents.

" Mama is there, Mommy?" grace asked Arini as the two of them reached Agatha's workroom.

" Mom is there, Ma'am." replied Arini. But the look in his eyes glanced at Rizal. " Little afternoon, Mr. Rizal." Arini also greeted Rizal.

Grace glanced at Rizal who returned Arini's greeting with a smile.

" Do you know him?" without Grace on Arini.

" Oh, know, Mommy. Mr. Rizal's guest Mother. Come here often, really!" arini replied back while blushing.

" Why are you smiling, Ma'am?! Just plain again! No need to be a little bit!" grace's reprimand to her Mama's secretary was what she thought was trying to attract Rizal's attention.

" He's getting married soon! So don't try to spread the charm, yeah!!" Grace warns Arini and puts her hand on Rizal's arm and takes the man into Agatha's study.

What Grace did made Arini dumbfounded. She finds out from Agatha that Rizal is the detective assigned to watch over Grace. However, what he saw earlier, as Grace embraced Rizal's arm, made many questions come to Arini's mind.

" Mom ...."

" Good day, Madam."

Grace and Rizal greet Agatha as she walks into the woman's workroom, leaving Agatha shocked.

" Well Grace? Mr Rizal? You guys here?" The sudden appearance of Grace and Rizal shocked Agatha. Because Rivaldi previously said that Grace and Rizal were in Singapore.

" Mam, Rizal and I came here to ask Mama's permission. Me and Rizal are getting married tomorrow." Without much ado, Grace conveys her purpose of coming to meet Agatha.

" What??" Agatha grew even to the point of rising from her seat.

" I'm sorry if our arrival surprises you, ma'am. There's something we want to tell the lady." Rizal wants her wedding plans with Grace to be discussed nicely with Agatha. " We'd better talk while we're sitting down, Grace." Rizal had Grace sit down and talk quietly, not making Agatha as shocked as she was right now.

Grace eventually walks and sits on the sofa as Rizal asks her. While Agatha was still unmoved, did not move from her place and still stood.

" Can you start talking now, ma'am?" Seeing Agatha still not moving from her place, Rizal spoke again.

" What did you mean, Grace?" Agatha seemed to be awakened from her shock by the words of her daughter earlier.

" Rizal and I are getting married tomorrow, Mom." Grace made her words clear again.

" Mrs, Grace and I came here to seek permission from the Madam, because I intend to marry Grace tomorrow. We are taking care of the administrative requirements for our wedding. I beg the Madam to give us permission to marry." Rizal further refined the sentence that Grace said.

" Grace, Mama wants to talk to you!" Agatha stepped towards the rest room that was behind her desk. He asks Grace to follow him.

Garce turned to look at Rizal. After getting a nod to Rizal's head that gave a code if Rizal allowed him to follow Agatha, Grace finally got up and followed the direction of her mother.

" Grace, what are you doing!? You want to marry that guy!?" agatha asked still objected to Grace's decision.

" Rizal and I are getting married tomorrow, Mom! Is Mama still unclear with my words and Rizal earlier m?" Grace rolled her eyeballs because her mother pretended not to understand what she was saying.

" I didn't choose wrong, Mom! Rizal is the best man for me!" Grace insists that her choice this time was not wrong.

" But her age is far from yours, Grace! Even his age with Mama is only seven years adrift! What would your business relationship say if you knew you had an older daughter-in-law??" Agatha thought about what people would say if she found out that her daughter-in-law was an old man far above her daughter's age.

" Then, did you hear what Mama said when she married a man eighteen years younger than you? Did Mama shut Mama's ears from people's talk?!" Grace gave a harsh insinuation to Agatha. Because Agatha then did not care about the words of others. This included a response from her Papa Grace's family when she learned that Agatha chose to marry a young man.

" Grace, you can learn from Mama's marriage to Gavin. Mama forbade you to marry Mr. Rizal, not because Mama hates Mr. Rizal! Mama did this because Mama loves you! Mama doesn't want your marriage to be unhappy because you picked the wrong guy!" Grace denies Grace's accusations and defends herself by saying what she did for Grace's happiness.

" Mama did this not for my happiness, but Mama did this because Mama was afraid to hear people gossiping Mama, right!?" Grace suspects that Agatha is indeed afraid of rumors that will spread if she has a daughter-in-law whose age is not far from Agatha.

" Grace, please listen to Mama this time! All this for your good! Mama doesn't want you to pick the wrong guy!" Agatha still remains on the same grounds if Rizal is not the right man for Grace.

" Mama should have listened to me! Mama knew I had done the wrong thing with Joe, and I wanted to fix it with Rizal. I'm sure Rizal can make me happy, Mam! It doesn't matter how different we are!" Grace remained firm in her decision.

" Grace, Mama knows Mr. Rizal well, but you can find a better man than Mr. Rizal." Agatha tried to soften Grace's hardness of heart.

" A better man?! Does that man want to accept my past? Will they accept that I am an unholy woman?! Do they want to accept that I have ever been in free association?! Have you ever slept with another man!?" Grace was upset that Agatha was not willing to accept her decision either.

" Rizal can accept me with all my flaws, Mam! What do you doubt about Rizal!?" Garce even defended her future husband.

" Why don't you ever try to open your heart to Aldi, Grace?!" Agatha questioned why Grace seemed to close her heart to accepting Rivaldi.

" Mum, how many times have I told you that Aldi is sneaky!?" grumpy Grace because Agatha still wants to match him with Rivaldi.

" You misunderstood Aldi, Grace!" And Agatha still continues to defend Rivaldi.

" Mam, stop!! Don't keep insisting on that Mama's wish! I'll do this, Mam! With or without Mama's blessing, Rizal and I will stay married!" grace resolute.

" You can't do that without Mama's permission, Grace!" Agatha refused to give Grace her blessing.

" But I can do that with the blessing of Om Daniel!" ketus Grace's.

" You think Om you're going to take it upon knowing who Rizal is!?" Agatha who had introduced Rivaldi to Om Daniel, felt confident Om Daniel would reject Rizal.

" Rizal and I have met Om Daniel. And Om Daniel is willing to be my guardian with Rizal tomorrow!" said Garce pulled one corner of her lips up.

" What???" Agatha was overwhelmed by the information conveyed by Grace, if her former sister-in-law had met Rizal and Grace even gave blessing to their marriage plans.
