Viren's letter about the sickening war turns out to be true. That afternoon, someone with a beautiful pa-kai came to visit my pavilion. Men are skinny but tough. His skin was black, with well-preserved whiskers and grey beard.
His name is Prince Dyah Halayudha. The prince rebuked Jayanagara. Apparently, the crown prince was playing hide-and-seek and hiding in my pavilion.
Halayudha picked up Jayanagara, then twisted the boy for a moment. Jayanagara laughs cheerfully. He nosed Halayudha's nose.
“You got me caught!”
Ra Kuti came soon after. Halayudha passes Jayanagara from her arms. He handed the boy over to Ra Kuti. Then he went to the pendapa.
“Sincerely slave to Gusti Rajapatni.” He said as he faced me. His face could not be called friendly. There was a hidden cunning in his view.
“There need what you looking for me?”
Halayudha chuckled while stroking her beard. He glanced at me. His hand moved to give orders. Sege-ra, some people came while lifting up a chest. My eyebrows cringing. Immediately sensed, something was amiss from this situation.
“Previous, I apologize for just being able to send you a wedding gift.” Halayudha is cunning. He opened the box in style. Gold, silver and jewels sprinkled with diamond gems.
“This gift is nothing, Gusti. However, servant yes-kin, sincerity of intention is more important than expensive gifts.”
“It seems you have too many sincere intentions, Uncle Halayudha,” I said insinuating.
Halayudha only chuckled. “You're too praised.” I got up and went down to Halayudha. De-
on purpose, I took a piece of gold coin from his chest.
“I heard, you have a fairly rich region in Dharmasraya.” I held that coin. “Saking rich, you can squander the ham-burkan gold and precious jewels for me.”
Halayudha clenched his hands over his nose. “This is a testament to the sincerity of the servant to Gusti Rajapatni.”
“This kingdom is building. Supposedly, you gave all these treasures to Kanda Prabu. Or donate this treasure for the benefit of the people.”
“Ah! Gusti Rajapatni, you are indeed too good.” Per-word Halayudha sounds as sweet as honey. “Her sincerity, should it be reserved for the people? We have taken great pains to guard the kingdom. There is no harm as once we pamper ourselves.”
“Actually, what's your purpose here, Uncle Halayu-da?” I tried hard to hold the tone of voice. I'm sick of Halayudha's calmness. His pretend ability is brilliant. Nare's right. If Patih Sengkuni was in the world, his character would have resembled this person.
“You know, if I come here on the basis of my loyalty to my servant sisters.” Halayudha said well. “The loyalty of the servant to this kingdom, is like the love of the servant sisters. The servant sisters have regarded this kingdom as their homeland.”
“Because of that, you are also loyal to me?”
“Of course.” Halayudha said in a meya-kinkan tone. Even pointing at the chest he was about to give.
“Then, I ask you to take back this sincere gift,” I said coldly. I don't even bother to thank you.
Halayudha stroked his beard. He knitted his eyebrows, confused. Not want him to argue again, I immediately added, “I think you are wrong to give a gift. Sau-of you don't really like me.”
Halayudha laughed. I'm getting sick of seeing his attitude. I'd love to kick Halayudha out of my house.
“Hamba will immediately reprimand my sister,” he said in a funny tone. “Sometimes, the servant sister speaks without thinking. On behalf of my servant sister, I apologize. Forgive Shri Tinuheng Pura if be-liau has made you angry.”
I gave a sneer at the corner of my smile. “Can I be angry with the wife being poured?”
“Aih! Aih!” Halayudha shook her head with a concerned face. “Since childhood, Shri Tinuheng Pura too spoiled. His character and manner of speaking are harsh. But actually, he is kind.”
“Yunda Indreswari32 is indeed very good.” I'm not trying to hide the insinuating tone of my words. “He has reminded me. Oh, what a clear warning. The Honorable Wife Accused was repeated many times: the position of the concubine forever will not be in line with the position of the future queen mother.”
Halayudha looked surprised. His face pias for a moment. “Your esteemed sister, Uncle Halayudha, is,
it poses a serious threat. I don't even squint in front of him. He said I would be wretched you dare not respect him.”
Halayudha's face was flushed red hearing my words. Her pretence mask momentarily slipped away. He's me

clenching their teeth, glaring in dissatisfaction. Either dissatisfied with my attitude, or dissatisfied with Dara Petak. Halayudha clenched her hands at the nose— really-right forced herself to look sorry. Before he could speak again, I hardened my tone of voice.
“Fidelity to the country and loyalty to the family cannot be in line. If you are indeed loyal to this kingdom, you should not do things that show your ambition.” I closed the casket aloud until it made a thumping sound.
“Bring back your gift, Uncle Halayudha.” I said without looking at his face. Quickly, I stepped out. My cheeks are heating up with anger. Suddenly remembered again on the look of fatigue in the eyes of Prabu Kertarajasa.
