Princess Rajapatni - Gayatri - 1

None of us has ever imagined the love story of Ken Dedes and Ken Arok. The most famous story in Java. The forerunner of one of the largest kingdoms in the archipelago.

This is the story I hear most often in ista-na. When me and the princesses got together, then one of us would unknowingly mention Ken Dedes by name. A woman who is said to have beauty-an like a goddess. Ken Dedes' love story has been told for generations. The poets compose it by li-kali. Adding various intrigues, wars, curses, and other legends to the story even more riveting.

They say, the beauty of Ken Dedes is a gift as well as a curse. That said, Ken Dedes was rushed to Tumapel because the Akuwu was crazy about kepa-danya. This abduction was the beginning of a series of terrible ku-tukan that brought many deaths in the palace.

I don't know what life Ken De-des lived in Tumapel. Does Tunggul Ametung love and spoil him.., or does the Akuwu even often torture until he then decided to shout-ma Ken Arok proposal?

But something made my mind unable to evade sympathy. The stump of Ametung had no wife other than Ken Dedes. How could a person of such loyalty harm his wife?

I tried many times to find out. I follow him to everyone who tells me. But sa-yang, I never get a definite answer.

All I'm asking is that Ken Dedes is in love with Ken Arok. They say, the good looks and the nature of the knight Ken Arok captivated Ken Dedes. Therefore, Ken Dedes was willing to be married by her husband's killer.

To me, it's irony. My questions raised doubts. Which explanation is nar? Was Ken Dedes indeed happy, when he saw Ken Arok stabbing her husband with an Empu Gan-dring keris? Does he really love Ken Arok too much to be married, even though he knows there is a seed of Stump Ametung in his womb?

And here's my story.

I'm the one who saw the destruction and renewal. I was born in the great shadow of two kingdoms: Singasari and Majapahit.

Sometimes, I imagine how pa-ra pojangga composed my story. After centuries have passed, will I still be remembered? Is there anyone who remembers me through beautiful stories? Will anyone try to find out? Knit events and bring me to life through memories?

Or perhaps, it is the historians who will tat my name. Comparing it with many la-in names, kings and knights, it repeats as an orthodox theory. Just to remind them, never hi-dup a woman named Gayatri. The woman who became a small piece a historical journey abhati.

Anyhow they remember me, Budi-man Reader.

Whether it's in stories or history, in memories or memorization books. To me,

Everything just makes one thing clear:

How unreasonable is human life.
