“Yeah, it looks like this will have no end.” Yuna supported her head with her hands, glancing at me with a dull face.

“I just want to know,” urges me.

“As soon as you”—Yuna puts her hand in the pocket of —“I want to play it, let's go!”

“Huh, you are this ...” As I walked back, my gaze was startled by something gripping.

In front of the crossroads, right across from her, was a thief who snatched a Grandmother's shopping bag. The old woman was hysterical and creaking, trying to ask for help to anyone who passed by. However, he should have known that if the world was so cruel, not even one of the townspeople would sympathize with him. Maybe they think of Grandma as a pebble perched on the side of the road, and because of that, I will move.

“Yuna, fast!” myrag.

“Eh, what?” Yuna had been sitting down, and that was the reason why she had not seen it happen.

“Come help that Granny!”

The girl did not reply, but she reflexively ran after me. We crossed the road, breathing heavily, trying to rearrange it to remain stable. It didn't take long, we got there. The poor old lady looked at us with teary eyes.

“Nak, help me; please go after the thief,”.

“Alright, Grandma, leave it to me!” I said that out loud, then looked at Yuna. “Please keep him here, yes, Yuna?”

I went back to doing the sprint, moving towards the thief before.

“No, I'll come with you, Hiro.” Although his voice was vague, but I knew that he was also following me. Agh, you stubborn bastard; what if that criminal hurts you? I grumbled in my heart, trying to pile those emotions deep.

Suddenly, behind a barrage of parked taxis, the thief was seen standing there. It did not take long, he went straight into the front queue of the taxi, and then the taxi moved forward, crossing a crowded road and turning. I was upset by the traffic lights that didn't turn red when it happened.

Now I arrived where the thief was standing, followed by Yuna from behind. She leaned over as she caught her breath, and I could see a few strands of her hair peering out from behind her hood.

“What should we do, Hiro?” The girl's voice was panting, still in the same position.

“I ...” My brain was thinking hard, hoping for the solution to pop into my head. “Huh!”

There was no other way but to chase the thief with what he rode—at least that was what I thought.

“Yuna, do you have money?”

“A–ada, sih”—He took out his wallet—“But make what?”

“Good!” apparently, there is still a chance to pursue him.

“Please quickly, later the grandmother will lose her valuable goods!” Yuna shook the taxi driver's shoulder, and it was like a building about to be torn down.

“Good, Mistress, this is already my best speed; I will try more.” The man in the yellow uniform seemed resigned. So far, he has increased the speed of his car.

When I saw the license plate number of the thief, my soul exploded. “Finally visible!” Me and Yuna, we yelled together after seeing her back.

We were in a T-junction, and in front of him was a big mall. The taxi passed from the right side of the road, moving straight through our car. This is the second time I hate traffic lights, really.

“This can't,” my mum. It feels impossible to chase the thief again, especially if these annoying lights will—

“What?” I said, surprised. “There's no way you can catch up with him by running. Don't be stupid, Yuna. Then I'll just go down and chase him.”

When I forbade him to come out, the taxi driver peeked out of the corner of his eye. I hope he doesn't think we're, like, You guys already got in a cab, so you guys are gonna pay, right? Not wrong, most likely that's what he thought.

Not long after, Yuna quickly extended some of the yen to the driver, then she said, “This is your reward, thanks for the hard work, sir!” The moment the girl opened the door, she again glanced at me, frowning her forehead.

“You're stubborn too, yes, Hiro.” Along with that, Yuna smiled again.

...* * *...

The search this time was led by Yuna, and we walked into one of the alleys.

“How do you know if the thief walked into this place, Yuna?” many doubt.

“Do not underestimate the premonition of women, Hiro, they are always right.” When I was behind her, Yuna did not look back at all. I thought he was struggling, but somehow, he said it seriously.

In addition, around us, there are many garbage bins attached to the sides of the building walls. It gave rise to a serious pungent smell, but chasing after the thief was our current priority, for the sake of the grandmother.

“Well, that's it.” Yuna stopped her footsteps.

“Huh? Whatchu mean?

In front of us was a towering wire fence, as well as several pedestrians and a limousine passing in the opposite direction. Now there is no more trash, only as a replacement, there are many large garbage bags scattered to fill this dead end. The stench also grew stronger, and it slowly tormented me.

Yuna then turned around. As I observed it more clearly, there was no smile; no cheerfulness, or positivity. The girl's emotions seemed as if they were about to explode.

“Come out, or you'll be sorry!”

Where's he hiding? My eyes looked at everything in the alley. The top, left, right, but not one side is suspicious. One thing I do know is that Yuna is performing an ultimatum against the thief, very clearly.

“Yea, Miss Beautiful, I'll be out soon.” The voice came from one of the trash cans we had just passed, and also, his tone seemed to tease Yuna.

“Eh, dia— don't say?” My eyes widened, after seeing the thief actually coming out from a place I had not expected at all.

“How can you follow me? Though I've been trying to avoid it since the beginning, even had to sacrifice my money to take the expensive taxi.” From his actions, the thief obviously underestimated us.

“You don't need to know. What is clear, please give the grandmother bag again; she needs it most.” Yuna closed her eyes.

“It's a pity, yes, whereas I've tried to be more friendly,” replied the thief.

He wore a casual t-shirt that was covered in trash stains, a yellow cap upside down, and a cigarette with smoke soaring high into the sky. Suddenly, I hated him more. The man stuck out his tongue erotically, then stared at something that was at the bottom of Yuna. This is so bad.

Not long Yuna accused him. “What do you see?” ask him firmly.

“Hey don't be so dong.” The person started walking forward, his smile grinned, and it was very wide. “You're a potential girl, you know, Miss.”

By then, my patience had crossed the line. This can't be allowed.

I went forward and stood in front of Yuna. “Don't approach him!” I cried, stretching out both hands. Though the person only made verbal contact with Yuna, but this time I was very angry, far from our main purpose of looking for her.

From now on I will act, before anything bad happens to the girl.
