Dragon Essence Temple

After Angel finished feeding Yusri, she said to him, "Okay, brother. Now that your own room is cleaned, I'll let you sleep alone again."

Moments later, Angel takes Yusri to a wheelchair before pushing him back to his own room.

"Do you want to play tonight, brother?" Angel asked him.

Now that he knows his true identity as Player Yusri, he is more willing to let him play more so that he can keep progressing as much as possible.

"No, it's okay. In fact, I will be taking a break from Cultivation Online for a few days until the Dragon Essence Temple exam begins," Yusri told him.

"Huh? Have you rested? Why?" Angel asked him with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

Although missing a few days of progress may not matter when Yusri is already months, even years ahead of the other players, it still makes no sense why he would want a break so suddenly.

"Did something happen today? Is that why you're resting?" Angel asked him. "It's okay to talk to me, brother."

"No, it has nothing to do with the game, honestly. I just want to take a break and prepare myself before I take part in the exam."

"Preparation for examination... in the real world?" Angel could not understand his intentions, but since Yusri insisted on resting, there was nothing he could do. After all, it was not as if he could force her to play the game.

"OKAY. Then I'll leave you alone now. Good night, brother." Angel closes the lights in the room before leaving Yusri alone.

Once he was alone, Yusri immediately started cultivating, and he would not stop for the rest of the night.

The next morning, Yusri had managed to break through once again, reaching the fourth level Spirit Apprentice.

"Haaa... It takes longer than the game. If only there were monster cores in this world or equivalent things that would allow me to increase my cultivation faster..." Yusri sighed.

Some time later, Angel entered her room to clean her face and brush her teeth before giving her breakfast.

After Yusri consumed all three bowls of soup, Angel wiped her lips with a wet towel before leaving for school.

Once he was alone again, Yusri went back to cultivating. Although his progress might be slow, he could at least make some progress.

Yusri repeats this process for the next two days, and in addition to eating and cultivating, he does nothing else.

By the time the Dragon Essence Temple started their disciple examination, Yusri had reached the fifth level Spirit Apprentice realm.

"Angel, I'm going back to Cultivation Online today. The Dragon Essence Temple should start their disciple exam today as well," Yusri told him after breakfast.

"OKAY. Good luck, brother. Of course, I'm sure you'll pass the exam without any effort." Angel chuckles.

"I understand..." Yusri replied in a nervous voice.

Some time later, Yusri returned to the cultivation world.

"Welcome back, Brother Yusri." Melia was the first to appear before him.

"I'm back. The Dragon Essence Temple disciple exam was supposed to be today, right?" Yusri asked.

"It's true." Melia nodded, and then she turned to look towards the Dragon Essence Temple. "There are many people gathered."

"Then let's go!"

However, Melia shook her head and said, "Brother Yusri, Melia will remain inside the necklace until you decide to leave the sect or need some help. This way, Brother Yusri can experience the cultivation world as he should. If you need advice, Melia will speak to you using a Divine Sense like Vermilion Phoenix."

Yusri nodded and said, "It will feel lonely without having you by my side all the time, but I understand why you are doing this."

After Melia returned to the necklace, Yusri started running towards the Dragon Essence Temple.

'Oh, right... There will be many people participating in this exam— both NPCs and Players. To keep my identity safe, I should at least hide my face.'

Thinking that, Yusri stopped moving and took the Black Jade Mask and put it on his face, hiding everything except his bright and innocent eyes.

"This should be good enough," Yusri nodded to himself before he continued running towards the Dragon Essence Temple.

Some time later, Yusri arrived at the Dragon Essence Temple, and as he had expected, there was already a sea of people gathered there.

'Wow... Is this what it's like to go to school on the first day?' Yusri wondered to himself as he followed the crowd.

A few minutes later, they arrived at this mountain range that had nothing but mountains and trees beside a huge gate in the horizon that had a majestic mark with the inscription 'Dragon Essence Temple' on it.

'We're taking an exam here?' Yusri raised his eyebrows.

After waiting for a few more minutes, a middle-aged man wearing a colorful robe appeared before them by jumping up the gate.

"Welcome to the Dragon Essence Temple disciple exam! Before we begin the inspection, we must verify whether you are truly qualified to be here or not!" The middle-aged man spoke to them in a loud and domineering voice.

"Below me is a transportation gate that will move you to the actual exam room. However, only those who had the Dragon Essence Temple Trial Token would be teleported to the examination hall. Everyone will be randomly teleported to the mountains behind me, and there are many powerful magical beasts roaming the area, so if you are thinking of sneaking into the disciple examination, then, I urge you to rethink that decision because we will not be held responsible for anything that happens to you afterward."
