Angel enters the game moments after Yusri.
"Are we all ready to take this test?" Angel asked them.
"Deedies?" Melia looked at Yusri, as she had no idea what they were talking about.
Yusri goes on to explain to Melia their plans for today and how they will take part in this test to become disciples for the Dragon Essence Temple.
"Brother Yusri will become a disciple for the Dragon Essence Temple? But it would be much more efficient for you to remain as a Naughty Cultivator and find resources in the wilderness than to join the Sect because you would have to compete with tens of thousands of disciples from the Sect to gain the resources, and the resources you get are not very valuable." Melia said to him, finding her goal quite confusing and unnecessary.
"I know what you mean, but I'm not a student for resources. Instead, I want to experience life as a Cultivator and see how other Cultivators live. If I am going to become stronger as a Cultivator, I should know more about them, right?" Yusri said to him.
Melia fell silent after hearing her response. Indeed, Yusri needed a better understanding of Cultivators and the cultivation world, as he was quite naive in this regard.
Some time later, Yusri and Melia begin to walk towards the location of this exam while being led by Angel.
As they walked, Yusri asked Melia, "Melia, may I ask you some questions about cultivation? I need some advice."
"What is it, Brother Yusri?" she's staring.
"Are you why someone might feel pain all over their body when they are trying to cultivate? It was like being pricked by a needle."
Hearing Yusri's words, Melia immediately frowned with a worried expression on her face.
"Brother Yusri, do you feel any pain while cultivating?" He asked him, worried it might be a side effect of eating too many monster cores.
"Eh? N-No... I just asked," he quickly shook his head.
"Well... There were several reasons why one would feel pain during cultivation," Melia said, and she continued, "One of them was simply because their meridians were blocked by dirt or other unnatural things. Another common reason is damaged meridians. If one had damaged the meridians, they would not be able to cultivate until it healed them."
"What about a normal person trying to cultivate for the first time? As they tried to cultivate, their bodies would feel intense pain, but it also felt as if they were making a progress—like they were getting closer to their breakthrough."
"One's condition doesn't matter, Brother Yusri. If their bodies were to experience pain while trying to cultivate, there must be something wrong with their meridians or bodies," Melia told him.
"Hmmm... Then is there a method to help such a problem?" Yusri asked.
"Yes, there are treasures that cleanse one's meridians with some even returning them to a healthy state. If one were to have difficulty trying to become a Cultivator, there were even treasures that could forcefully aid their breakthrough. However, since the medicines and treasures that could heal or affect one's meridians were extremely valuable, most people would not be able to afford them."
Melia then continued, "In fact, the Seven Color Potion that Brother Yusri had was the main ingredient in many pill recipes that could affect one's meridians, therefore why it was so sought after and valuable."
"Seven Colorful Potions, yes..."
Yusri wondered if he would be able to cultivate in the real world if he consumed a treasure that could heal his meridians.
After walking around the big city for half an hour, Yusri and the others finally arrived at the exam site, and they were able to see it from very far away due to the large gathering that was already there.
"Geez, I can't wait to join the Dragon Essence Temple!"
"What level of cultivation are you at now? I have just reached the fifth level Spirit Apprentice!"
"Haha, since I don't have much time to play, I only managed to reach the third level today."
"What do you think the test will be like?"
"Who knows. I've never done this before."
"I don't either."
There seemed to be many people within the crowd who were players, and they were all filled with excitement as they waited for the test to begin.
"Wow, there are a lot of people here" Yusri exclaimed after seeing the sea of people there.
"That's to be expected, because the Dragon Essence Temple is a famous Sect, and there are many players who still haven't joined the Sect." Angel told him.
As soon as they got closer to the area, Yusri searched through the Xuan Family.
'I didn't see Xuan Wuhan or his father... Will they be here later?' Yusri wondered to himself when he could not see their figure anywhere.
After standing for a few minutes, a group of individuals wearing similar clothes approached the area.
Very quickly, the crowd started to scramble.
A few minutes later, Yusri and Angel managed to secure a spot somewhere in the middle of the line, but they were still behind at least a hundred people.
As soon as there was an orderly line meandering throughout the area, the middle-aged man spoke loudly, "I'm Elder Kang, Sect Elder for the Outer Disciple of the Dragon Essence Temple, and said, "I'm Elder Kang, and I am here today to look for a new prospective disciple to join our sect. It's just a preliminary exam to see if you're qualified to take the actual exam, so you won't be a student to pass this exam."
"After you qualify for this exam, you will be able to take part in the real test directly at the Dragon Essence Temple four days from now."
"Oh. so we won't be able to experience this place together even if we pass this..." Angel sighed, and she continued, "I also have school on that day, so I'm going to miss the actual exam."
"Even if we can't leave today, we can do it when you can play again" Yusri told him. "I won't join the sect without you."
"No, I don't want to be a burden to you, brother. My playing schedule is very limited, so I won't be able to play with you too often. I want you to experience the Sect as a disciple even without me!"
"Are you sure...?" Yusri asked him with a slight frown on his face.
"of course! I want to join the sect for you, brother! If you don't join the sect because of me, I will feel very guilty about it, because it's the opposite of my intention!" Angel told him.
After a moment of silence, Yusri nodded, "OK, I will join the sect."
"That's great!" Angel smiling.
"Once I become a disciple, maybe I can ask them to make an exception for you, so that you will be able to become a disciple even without taking the exam!" Yusri then said to him.
"Unless you become a very important individual in the sect, I don't think they will make such an exception..." Angel shook her head.
"There is no need to worry about that because Brother Yusri will definitely become a famous disciple in no time," Melia told him.
With Yusri's talent, he could easily become the Core Disciple for the Dragon Essence Temple.
"Is that so...?" Angel muttered, wondering where her confidence came from.
While his brother might be extremely talented, there were many geniuses in the cultivation world, and a reputable place like the Dragon Essence Temple would definitely have some geniuses who could rival Yusri, right? After all, there is a saying 'there is always someone better than you'.
After standing in line for half an hour, it was finally Yusri's turn to take the exam.
"Name?" Elder Kang asked Yusri without looking at him, keeping his own gaze on the clipboard in his hand.
"Yusri," said he.
"How old are you and your age?" Elder Kang then asked in a disinterested tone, almost like he didn't want to be there.
Yusri hesitated.
"Fifth Level Spirit Apprentice, 18 years old," he decided to lie.
'Fifth Level Spirit Apprentices?' Angel looked at him with raised eyebrows and a suspicious look. Although he could not see his cultivation level, surely he was definitely above the Fifth Level Spirit Apprentice, right? After all, he had defeated four players at the same level easily!
"Yusri, Fifth-Order Spirit Apprenticeship, 18 years..." Elder Kang scribbled his name and age on the clipboard without looking at it.
"Put your hand over the crystal ball behind me. If it glows green, you pass. Next one!"
Yusri nodded and went to touch the crystal ball managed by the disciples who came with Elder Kang.
A moment later, the crystal ball glowed bright green.
"Congratulations, you graduated. Take this token. You will need it for the real test. Without it, you won't be able to take part in the exam so don't lose." The disciple said to Yusri before giving him a small jade token.
«You have obtained the 'Token Test of Dragon Essence Temple'»
"Thank you," Yusri told them before leaving the place with the others.
"Aren't you going to take the test, Melia?" Angel asked him afterwards.
"No," Melia shook her head.
