CHAPTER 39 | Tastes Different

The atmosphere of the night was quite silent, there was only the faithful Shena on the side of Chaca who was unconscious. “Did Chaca wake up?”, asked Barra as she took off her jacket.

“Bu Chaca just woke up.” Shena replied looking at Barra who arrived just came and put her stuff also took something in the kitchen like the place was her own. Immediately Barra prepared three dinner plates for her, Chaca and Shena.

“You take a break and eat. Let me accompany Chaca while eating with her”, Barra said with two plates of food in her hand and immediately met Chaca in her room. Barra looked at Chaca who was still quite weak sitting leaning back while closing her eyes. Seeing the red marks that still remain in his position makes Barra upset feeling back in control of him but he tried to dampen it considering his purpose here is for Chaca.

“You good?”, asked Barra as she placed the two dishes of food on the table and sat down beside Chaca, Barra gently rubbed Chaca's mane with a smile with the intention of providing a comfort for her.

“I’m ok. Thank you, you save me”, Chaca softly. Barra let out a long sigh and held Chaca's hand while closing her eyes and gently tucking her hand. It was so obvious from the way Barra treated Chaca that she was quite frightened and worried about her heart, that Chaca could feel how worried Barra was just by feeling each strand of her breath.

“It's scary if something worse than this happens to you Cha. But I promis he will never hurt you again Cha”, shirih Barra gently while closing both eyes. Chaca smiled and gently rubbed the face of the man in front of her when she heard her words that calmed her heart.

“Already. There's nothing to be afraid of, I'll take better care of myself”, Chaca replied briefly. Their brief conversation suddenly made Chaca's stomach sound as she smelled a pleasant aroma since Barra entered her room with two dishes of food in her hand.

“Pffttt...”, Barra tried to close her mouth which could not help but laugh at Chaca's stomach ringing fast, immediately she took the plate and gave it to Chaca who was already starving.

“Gosh, you embarrassed me”, Chaca muttered inwardly as she continued to hold her stomach which felt very hungry. It is undeniable that Barra is a very great chef, whatever cuisine he cooks always matches the tongue of Chaca. Even now, the food Barra gave him quickly spent either between his hunger or the food was indeed very delicious.

It was getting late when Chaca looked at the clock on the side table, immediately he told Barra to go home.

“Come home, it's already night”, Chaca told Barra who they've been together since and talked.

“Not necessary, there's Shena looking after me here. You go home Barra, tomorrow I will meet you at cafe”, woo Chaca while throwing her smile at Barra. Seeing Chaca who started to reply to Barra like usual made her heart calm a little because Chaca was better than before but still, she was, Barra was still too worried about Chaca even though she knew that Shena was able to take care of her very well.

“I saved you, even I cooked for you. Am I staying overnight not allowed? Why?”, Barra asked trying to argue with Chaca.

“You crazy? What are you staying for? What are you going to do?”, Chaca asked without thinking what she was asking would be very dangerous. Barra immediately looked at Chaca with a gaze of a thousand meanings.

“In your opinion, when a man stays at the place of the woman he loves, what will happen? So that's what I'm going to do” said Barra trying to tease Chaca , looking at Chaca's face that looks a little surprised by her words, making Chaca cross her arms and turn her eyes away from Barra.

“Hahahah..”, Barra chuckles at Chaca's cute behavior that crosses both hands like covering her chest. Her stomach hurt to see Chaca who thought that she would do something like that to Chaca.

“I won't do it, just relax. There's no way I'm doing it, Cha. Unless, if you allow it”, Barra continued as she approached Chaca and this time her gaze was quite serious. Chaca pushed Barra away from her because her heart had been beating so fast from before.

“Hah.. Very unfortunate. Alright I will go home, but earlier you have to pay me for what I have done to you”, Barra added while standing and glancing at Chaca.

“So? I have to pay? Alright, how much should I payyy..” Chaca has not had time to continue his words, Barra's lips have landed on Chaca's soft lips and slowly smeared Chaca's lips gently.

“I'm home. I wait for tomorrow as you promised”, Barra waved to Chaca who was leaning on.

Barra stepped out of Chaca's room and saw Shena sitting down accompanied by some booze with her. Seeing the pleasure of Shena drinking the drink made Barra want it too, he took a gela in front of Shena and sipped a glass of wine to feel his pleasure.

“Come home, didn't Bu Chaca tell you to go home?”, said Shena who saw Barra in front of her.

“So he is good, if something happens quickly contact me”, Barra told Shena then took her jacket and car keys and she went out of Chaca's apartment.
