“We end it. If continued it might hurt each other's feelings,” whispered the man firmly while looking meaningfully.
There was no other thought in the mind of the unraveling curly haired woman, as soon as she heard her man say so. Only one word came to pass, why?
The woman's gaze looked blank, staring straight down, at her feet still treading on the ceramic floor of a favorite coffee shop they both had. Sit next to each other in different directions. One of the women's hands was held tightly by the man. Perhaps the man hoped that the woman before him would accept his decision to separate.
“Why? Isn't everything all right? Or have I made a mistake?” Looking back, the woman stared intently and spoke softly.
“I don't want to hurt our respective partners.”
“But this hurts my heart.”
The frown on the woman's forehead was clearly visible, she was still trying to digest the words of the man sitting beside her. Half couldn't believe what he had just heard. The man asked for a breakup from a relationship that never really had a beginning.
Relationships that cannot be described and cannot be defined as any relationship.
Befriends? Might as well. Near? Ja. Do you often walk both? Is correct. A boyfriend? No, obviously not!
Friends but friendly?
Wasting in lonely times?
I don't know.
It may be just a relationship to get to know each other, but it has no status whatsoever, or it may mean nothing. Maybe so for the man.
Think of a closeness between the opposite sex as common or even commonplace. Common things that happen to almost everyone. There was no special meaning to her, but not to the woman.
A closeness that is considered intimate even exceeds the limits of introductions let alone friendship. A closeness that is felt is different from just a friend.
Proximity that always occurs repeatedly until finally feel safe and comfortable. A closeness that makes everything blind, but never ceases to adore each other.
