Not the Son of the Prostitute
Cancel the Engagement

"Be careful, your condition has not fully recovered!" Mutia pecked at the sighting of Haidar who was suddenly at the door. I don't know since when the habits changed, which Mutia knew if previously Haidar had never left for office this early.

"Master ...?"

The door of the room is open. Mutia stepped in following the man behind her.

"Don't force it if it's not strong!" His voice stopped Mutia's steps again who was about to head to her room. The girl turned her body again, and looked at Haidar who was already sitting opposite to a pile of files.

"Good, Sir. But I'm already okay."

The days of Mutia passed as usual. Regarding the men who were about to harass her yesterday, the police had already dealt with it completely. From Arya's side, he has also conveyed this news to the Mutia family.

"Are you really healthy? Is anyone still sick?"

Mutia simply nodded while glancing at Haidar who was already standing next to him again.

"Master why? Is there no work?" ask the girl in wonder. A week or so he didn't enter, so Mutia had absolutely no idea what the schedule was today.

"You think?"

Mutia bellowed, throwing her face to the side. The girl tried to act ordinary even though it felt uncomfortable since then.

"You'd better get back to your desk, Mister. I'm afraid someone saw it." Mutia tried to banish the man subtly, though she herself doubted whether Haidar would listen.

"What if someone sees it?" Yes, boss mah is free. But, Mutia herself is not good if until there are other employees who see it.

"Later they misunderstand, sir," Mutia replied again.

"Leave it!"

Chat ceased. Mutia tried not to respond to him anymore. The girl was already busy recording the agenda for today and the next.

"Mutia ...?"

"Yes ...?" The girl answered quickly. Their two eyes clashed together, as if they were channeling something.

"You want to be my lover?" ask the man suddenly.

Mutia was surprised. Both of his eyes were perfectly wide, staring at the man's face.

A lover?

"Are you declaring love now?"

"No! I'm proposing to you!" Haidar blatantly said it without knowing what Mutia's reaction was like at the moment.

"Not just anyone, sir. What am I what? I don't want to be second!" reject the girl firmly.

Crocodile, he may seduce, but soon will be engaged.

"I'm a good girl, sir. After all, I can't possibly snatch my own friend's, sir" he said. The girl lowered her head, her fingers dancing again, noting what Haider would do today.

"So, if I'm single you want to, right?" ask the man lightly. Haidar seemed to think for a moment, then the mangosteen themselves do not know what he was thinking.

A singles? He knows that term too?

"That's not funny, sir! Please, let me work!" Despite being expelled repeatedly, Haidar remains reckless and does not care about it.

"alright. I'll cancel my engagement first. So, you'll have no reason to reject me anymore." The phrase was successful in making the long-haired girl stare at him. Mutia did not expect the joke to be taken seriously by the man.

"Not just anyone, sir! Soon you will be engaged to Kia. How could you just cancel it?"

Although actually Mutia herself was fascinated by the man's good looks. But there's no way he'd expect more.

"I'm just trying to grant her your wish, Mutia! Why why anyway? Is something wrong?" As if I didn't feel guilty in the least. Haidar stepped back into his room very casually.

What Haidar said this afternoon was no joke. The man really prepared everything. Tonight after his work was done he stepped up quickly. Not towards his private room, but towards his parents' second room located on the lower floor.

Forward backwards Haidar hesitated to knock on the door, as it glanced at the wall clock that had already pointed at the number ten of the night.

Inside there, two people whose age was no longer young were chatting. Rengganis and Arya were chatting casually, discussing their work and activities today.

When the chatter was over and the room lights were about to turn off, suddenly there was a knock on the door from out there. Rengganis got up quickly, rolled his hair high and set his feet on the floor.

"Haydar ...?" The middle-aged woman frowned in surprise to find her son standing at the door. The rengganist immediately pulled her in and invited her to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Not slept? Is there a problem at the office?" The father made a sound when he saw the young man coming into his room with his wife.

"No, Dad!"

"Lantas, what's wrong? Don't bother your mama, she needs a break! Besides, I'm the same mom wants to ...." Though his intention after the chat was over, Arya wanted to let go of the miss with the woman because it had been since three days ago he had to go out of town to take care of his work there. But because of the man's arrival, Arya must hold him back in a moment.

"Mas, you're nothing!" The rengganis immediately pinched the man's waist until the owner complained of the pain."

"Why pinch me? I'll just say ..."

"Sttt ...!" Rengganis instantly silenced Arya's mouth with her sharp gaze. Looks like his attempt worked. The middle-aged man immediately locked his mouth tightly, despite the annoyance on his face.

"Well, Ma ..." The man huffed for a moment. Suddenly Haidar felt that this was not the right time to say it. "I'm sorry, it's not so" he said.

The two parents sitting on the bed looked at each other with confused gazes. "What do you really want to say?" ask the gentle Rengganis.

"Actually I ...?" The man looked at both of his parents' faces with a serious look.

"What do you really want to say?" The father was grumbling. Restless himself because his time was wasted by the young men ahead there. "If it doesn't matter, you better get going! Same mom wants a break!"

After a few minutes of them getting caught up with each other, finally Haidar ventured to speak.

"Does Dad want me to get married?"

"Yes, of course. Why are you suddenly asking like that?" The rengganist who replied. But on the other hand, his feelings are not good on their own.

"Regarding my engagement ...?"

"Why? You want to speed up?" the girl was fast. Maybe it will be encouraging news if Haidar wants to advance the show that should be held in two weeks.

Haidar shook his head weakly. That's not what he wanted.

"I want to cancel my engagement, Ma!" Haidar finally said it too. The man said it solemnly and consciously.

"What did you say?!" Rengganis nearly fainted with her son's statement. While the middle-aged man over there immediately melolot stared at Haidar with emotion.

"Don't talk recklessly, Haidar! You want to embarrass your whole family?!" arya said with great emphasis.

"But. I really can't do it, Dad! I can't continue this engagement." Haidar repeated his words.

"Say, what's your excuse? Didn't you agree to it from the beginning?" Arya remembers once that Haidar had agreed to the arranged marriage he planned with Alex.

"Is all this because of that girl again? Did you cancel this engagement because of it?" Rengganis seems very emotional. He could not imagine if the engagement would be canceled. What will Kia feel like?

"No, Ma! Please ... let me achieve my own happiness. Excuse me. Again, I'm sorry ..."
