Not the Son of the Prostitute

Not the Son of the Prostitute
A Gift for Mutia

"What is this, sir?" naila asked the middle-aged man in front of her. He examined the paper bag Arya gave him which he still held in his hand.

"That's cell phone. Please give it to Mutia later when she's conscious."

"Eh, there's no need to bother, sir. Maybe Mutia's phone went missing yesterday." Naila doesn't really care about that either. Most importantly Mutia could survive the bad events that befell her.

"Not bother at all, Madam. Think of it as an expression of my gratitude." Arya accidentally did not tell the girl's cell phone that had been destroyed because she still needed it as evidence to be handed over to the police.

"Why are you grateful? It should be us– who thanks you." Naila was even confused why the man seemed to owe his daughter a debt of gratitude, when it was clear Arya who had saved Mutia.

"It's okay, Madam. I purposely gave it as a gift because Mutia had already worked well in our company." Maybe that way Mutia's parents would accept it.

And it was true that the woman immediately accepted it. He thanked me many times for all the good he gave.

Shortly after the conversation about the phone was over, from the direction of the bed Mutia's hand was seen moving. The girl blinked her eyes slowly, adjusting the lights in the room.

"Ma ..." The girl whispered softly, calling the mother to come closer.

"Honey .. Did you wake up? " Naila was thrilled to see her daughter sober up. He helped the girl to sit up and lean her body on the head of the bed.

Mutia looked around the room that looked empty, very different from before she fell.

"Papa's coming home, son." As if he knew what his daughter was thinking.

Mutia just shook her head softly replying to the mother.

"I'm sorry, Mama?" Naila tipped the top of the girl's head gently. Feeling very guilty for the incident that Mutia experienced earlier.

"How are you doing, Mutia?" Aryan's voice sounded. The authoritative male figure was already standing right beside him. "Sorry, if my voice bothers you?" arya said a little bad.

"Ti–no! Not at all, sir!" Mutia shook her head quickly. He did not wake up because he was disturbed by the man's voice. But, maybe the effect of the drug given by the doctor was exhausted.

"Oh yes, Mr. Arya gave this gift to you." Naila grabbed Arya's paper bag and thrust it towards Mutia.

"Gift?"

"Yes, a gift for you for working so well." That man replied.

"But .. This is not necessary, sir." Both of the girl's eyes looked teary as she looked at the contents of the paper bag. The latest phone? Even Mutia never imagined she could have it.

"Hurry up healthy, because there's a lot of office work waiting for you." Arya gave a small smile, making the girl in front of there hurriedly wipe away the tears that were about to fall.

"Thank you, Mister.

Two men continued their conversation outside the room. Alex and Haidar were discussing about the man who did a stunt on the edge of the lake at that time.

"You sure you don't have any problems with him?" Alex obviously couldn't believe it. Perhaps Haidar made a mistake until the man was so vengeful and intended to eliminate him.

"Really, Om. I only know him because he's on campus with me. The rest I don't know because we've never had any conversation."

"Why do you keep quiet when you know one of them?" Alex was confused by the way the man thought, why instead let the evil roam freely out there. "Are you afraid of him?"

"It's not like that, Om. I think that's over. So I don't intend to take this case to the police. Anyway, I'm fine, right?"

Alex is heavy. It's wrong to underestimate him. Crime is still a crime. Big or small has consequences.

"Yes, Om, sorry." That's not what Alex wanted.

"I apologize to Mutia. Because he saved your father and sacrificed himself." Alex accidentally reveals everything so that Haidar knows.

"What?! So Mutia got hurt trying to save Dad?" Both of Haidar's eyes widened perfectly. He did not expect that the real event was like that.

"Where are you going?" When he saw the man get up from the chair he was sitting in. "You don't want to see Mutia first?" bargained again.

"Later, Om. There's more important business!" reply Haidar just kept stepping away from the room. The man drove his car quickly after arriving at the parking lot. The main purpose is to address the man's residence.

"I won't let her get away with it again!" Haidar crumpled the steering wheel he was holding. The man quickly stopped the car after being in front of the man's house.

But, when Haidar knocked on the door of his house, no one opened it. Where the hell is he? Did that guy run away first?

Wait and wait again. Haidar is bored of himself. He grabbed a phone that repeatedly rang in his pocket.

[Where are you?] ask someone whose voice Haidar knows.

[Dad?]

[Where are you? Why did it just disappear?] ask the man a second time. I heard a heavy breath from across the street.

[I'm somewhere, Dad.] Haidar tried to speak honestly.

[Don't act alone, Haidar. You never know what kind of danger you're facing right now!]

[But, Yeah .]

[Back to the office. There are so many things I want to ask you!] said the man from across the phone.

[What does Dad want to talk about?] ask Haidar curiously. [Why not just talk directly?] Actually he still wanted to wait until the man came.

[Back! I said, come back now!]

Arya riled herself when she heard the statement from Alex earlier about her chat with her son. Arya was sure that Haidar was coming to the man's place.

Why is that kid so rash? What if they gang up on him again?

[But, Yeah ..?]

[Back! Or, Father himself will drag you!]

Click, click,

Haidar was forced to disconnect unilaterally because he saw someone coming.

"Why are you here?" ask the man. The man that Haidar had been waiting for his arrival.

"You really don't know why I'm here?" reply Haidar with sharp eyes.

The man in front was just smiling. How brave this boy, he thought.

"For what? Bring your life?!"
