Not the Son of the Prostitute
Don't Torture Yourself

"I told you not to bother me anymore, why are you making things so complicated this way!" Instead of being happy when Dika said if he had just made a calculation with Lydia, Naila was worried that the threat Dika gave even made the woman more crazy.

If yesterday-yesterday Lidya just ruined her reputation in the office. I don't know what that woman will do tomorrow. Naila is only worried that Lydia will hate him more and impact on Mutia's life as well. Naila could not imagine if the only daughter was dragged into all her problems.

"Not to worry, Nai, Lydia couldn't possibly dare to tease you again. I guarantee it!" Dika reassured once again that what he just did will not impact anything for Naila and her family.

"You're too rash, Mom! What if after this Lydia hates me even more? I just don't want my problems with him to get any longer. I'm tired, Mas! I'm tired of constantly being accused of a no-no!" It was almost crazy to have to endure the heinous accusations that he never actually made. Naila almost gave up when not a single person supported her. Even her ex-husband himself accused her, even considering her not good at educating children just because of Mutia's failed marriage at that time.

"Nai ... believe me!" Dika held both of the woman's shoulders. Convince me that everything will be fine.

"Whatever, Mas. I don't give a shit! I'm going in first!" Both are in the yard of Naila's house. The modest house he bought for his hard-earned two years after his divorce from Yudi. Naila's career was pretty good. He works for a large company with a decent salary. But not long after the company moved out of town. Naila was forced to resign and find another job.

"Nai, wait! Can we talk to you for a second?" hold that guy. He seemed hesitant when he wanted to stop it. But, he did not want to continue harboring her anymore. Dika does not want to be tormented because he continues to hold back his own feelings.

"Five minutes!" naila said, It has a time limit.

"Do you feel the same, Nai? Am I not in your heart yet?" Question I don't know how many times.

"you reckon? Do I need to be clear again?" Naila did not turn her face towards him at all. The woman was still standing straight in her back position.

"It's not because of Lydia, is it, Nai? Did you reject me because of that woman?" Dika wants to be sure about Lydia's speech yesterday. What exactly makes Naila always cool and reject it.

"This has absolutely nothing to do with your ex-wife, Mas! It's purely because I don't have any feelings for you!" There was something dripping from both corners of Naila's eyes. But, the woman hurriedly rubbed it quickly. He didn't want the man back there until he saw it.

"At least I'm relieved, Nai, to have heard it directly from you. I know Lydia's just bragging. He just wanted to break me to say something that wasn't real." Both corners of the man also appear dewy. For years Dika tried to get rid of her feelings for Naila. But, still the shadow of the woman grew longer as if chasing after him.

Is it possible that it was just his guilt? Because accidentally he who made the woman's life was messy. Naila had to leave her company because of the heinous allegations from Lydia who was then still her legal wife.

"May you always be happy, Nai. Don't worry, if there's anything you need, come! I will definitely help you!" Slowly Dika swung her steps slowly. The man chose to surrender, burying all hope in place for Naila.

Seconds by second passed so slowly. Dika was still standing right on the fence of Naila's house, turned around and looked at her back.

"Look at me for a second, Nai. At least for the last time" whispered the man quietly. There was nothing more Dika expected but to let go of him for the sake of the woman's happiness.

The man was disappointed. Naila may never have liked it.

"Goodbye Naila. Live well. Hopefully on another occasion we'll meet again." The man rubbed the clear crystal that he could no longer stand.

If only I had known this painful farewell, I might have chosen never to know him.

While in front there, Naila stood three meters away from the man. The woman held back her almost unstoppable cries as much as possible. Although, his sobbing already sounded very soft.

"Goodbye, Mom. Find happiness–mu. Sorry, I really can't. Although I love you too, but this is better. I don't want anyone to get hurt. I don't want your relationship with Lydia to get complicated. I don't deserve you either." After Dika left, then the sound of the woman's cry broke. Naila was crying.

Being a single parent is a choice. Rather than having to continue to be hurt by the husband who doused him. Naila chooses to divorce Yudi and move on with her new life. Even after the breakup, her life was complicated. But, at least it was better, than to continue to hang with the wrong men.

"Already, Nai, let him look for his happiness if you really don't like him," said the mother tried to calm Naila's heart. The woman hurriedly got up and wiped away her tears quickly.

"Mother ... since when was she here?" Naila swallowed her coarse saliva. She was afraid that her mother would hear what she had just said after Dika's departure.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, Nai. You also deserve to be happy. But, if he's not the man you want, I hope someday you won't regret letting him go."

"Mak–sud What mother?" Naila's voice. He was sure that his mother would have heard all of his words.

"Mother wasn't the one who gave birth to your–, Nai. But, I already know you very well. If you like me too, then what's wrong?" say that woman again.

"Remember Naila, how long she waited for you patiently. Are you sure you're gonna hurt her again?" The mother's question this time managed to silence Naila. The woman looked agitated, as if she was regretting everything she had just done.

"Bu .. but ..."

The mother nodded slowly. The woman of about sixty years old looked at the two eyes of the child with a serious look. "You never know what he's been keeping? Himself too. So, don't let the feeling of doubt finally destroy your–."

"So, what should I do?" naila asked with a clueless look.

"Pursue him, Nai. Don't let him go again."
